This is gonna be a little story that I wanted to write for a while haha
It was boys night.
And for Dream, George, Sapnap and Karl boys night meant the couples would split and spend time with one person of the other couple to keep the friendships strong and to have someone to talk and to ask for advice.
Tonight was their new found favourite constellation.
Karl and Dream.
George and Sapnap.
George and Sapnap had gone out for food and drinks, while Dream and Karl had decided on their favourite thing.
Watching a telenovela, eating pizza and talking about their feelings.
After watching Pasión de gavilanes their pizza finally arrived and they started talking.
"So, how is it going with you and George? Did you talk about that communication issue?", Karl asked, while he took one slice out of the box.
"No", Dream sighed, "I feel like he's already trying really hard and I don't wanna be the one pointing fingers, saying that it's all his fault" "I had the same feeling when Sapnap and I started having those problems, but honestly the key to fixing communication issues is communicating", Karl replied and Dream nodded.
"I know, but I don't wanna hurt his feelings", the blonde said, before taking a bite off his slice, "It's not like it's a huge deal, it's just sometimes a little frustrating when he does things he didn't talk to me about before hand. Like when we went on that double date with you guys last weekend and he didn't tell me I needed to wear a suit before and then was mad at me for not thinking about it"
"Dream, you can't tell me that stuff like that isn't a big deal.", Karl said, one hand coming up to lay on the blondes shoulder, "It's bad for your mental and emotional well-being, if you don't tell him what is going wrong"
"But I don't wanna hurt him", Dream said, placing his pizza aside to pull his legs close to his chest, "I love him and I know how hard it can be for him"
Slowly tears started brimming in his eyes.
"I have so much love to give, cause he makes me so happy, but sometimes if feels like he doesn't want that much love from me", Dream tried to explain, sighed and quickly wiped away his tears, "I'm really afraid that I could loose him when I talk to him about the problems I see in our relationship"

By now Karl felt himself tearing up too.
"I know how that feels, you just wanna give so much love cause there's no space in your heart to contain it all and sometimes the other person seems... I don't know, ungrateful maybe?", he mumbled and Dream nodded.
"Was Sapnap mad when you told him about your problems?", the blonde asked and Karl shook his head. "No, he was really understanding. It really got better since then, but sometimes that feeling of me giving to much is still kinda there, maybe I should tell him about that", Karl replied.
"How did you tell him?" "I sat him down and I told him that I think we don't talk enough about our problems and that it hurts me to always pretend like neither of us is sad about stuff and he listened to me and told me he would try his best to do better. And he did, now he's the one encouraging me to tell him when something is wrong"
"I hope George does that too", Dream said, reaching for the tissues on the coffee table.
"You hope I do what?", George asked, when he and Sapnap suddenly walked in, back from their trip, "Wait, why are you crying?"
He quickly walked up to Dream and kneeled in front of him, holding his hands.
"What's wrong, darling?", he asked softly, wiping off more tears that had run down his cheeks. "Nothing much, just the telenovela we watched", Dream quickly said, putting on a smile. George looked over at Karl who slowly shook his head, before he and Sapnap left the room.
George kissed his forehead. "You know you don't need to pretend, don't you?"
And with that sentence Dreams smile disappeared and was replaced by tears and sobs.
George hugged him, kissed his head.
"Talk to me, I won't be mad no matter what you tell me, okay?", he asked and Dream nodded, hiding his face in the fabric of Georges shirt.
"I want us to talk when there are problems, but I'm so afraid that I could loose you when I tell you what is going wrong.", Dream replied, "I love you, I really do. I promise"

George gently held his face in his hands, kissed Dream softly. "I know you love me and I hope you know that I love you too. I know I can't always show it in the right way, but I really do love you a whole lot. You can always tell me anything and I'll try my best to do better.", George said, "We only grow as a couple when we talk and when you need us to talk, we'll do that"
Dream looked at him fondly and whispered: "I love you so much" "I love you too, darling"
"Can we talk about everything tomorrow? So I can calm down a bit?", Dream asked and George kissed his forehead. "Take your time and whenever you're ready I'm here to listen"
Dream hugged him again, relief flooding his veins. "Thank you", he whispered, "I love you"
"I know, love, I love you too", George said, "So much, I couldn't even describe it if I tried"
"I'm so happy that I have you, I wanna marry you some day", Dream mumbled, more to himself then to George, but the brunette was quick to reply.
"Well, actually... Sapnap and I didn't go out for food. We did something else.", George said and Dreams heart stopped.
George stood up, held him a hand and suddenly he was all tense and nervous.
"I've been planning this for a long time and today I finally got the last thing to make it perfect", he said, while he brought Dream into the garden.
The path that went through the whole garden was covered in rose pedals and all the lanterns were lit.
"George, are you-?", Dream interrupted himself with a gasp, when he looked at George who was down on one knee, pulling out a small box.
"Yes, I wanna spend the rest of my life with you and you'd make me the happiest man alive, if you would marry me. So now, really official, do you wanna-" "Yes! Yes, I do!", Dream exclaimed, tackling George to the ground, peppering kisses all over his face, "A million times yes!"
George laughed and pulled Dream close to kiss him. "I love you, I love you so much, George", Dream cried, all those feelings crashing down on him.
"I love you too, Dream. Love you so much", George replied and soon they heard Sapnap and Karl cheering.
"Congrats!", Karl yelled over, while Sapnap snapped a few more pictures of the newly engaged couple. "You don't know how long George has been planning this, the past six boy nights were only filled with engagement stuff, I would've kicked you square in the balls if you would've said no", he said and Dream started laughing. "Well, good that I said yes", he leaned closer to George again and whispered, "I wouldn't want it any other way"
They kissed again and right after George took Dreams hand and gently pushed the ring onto his ring finger and kissed his hand gently. "Can I tell twitter that they were right?", Karl asked and laughed when he saw how Dream and George both realized that they would destroy twitter with the announcement.
Making their relationship public already broke the internet, what could their fans do if they knew they were engaged?
"Maybe we should keep that to ourselves for a few days, they don't need to know everything right after it happens", Dream said and George nodded.
"And I wanna have my fiancee all to myself for a while", George then said, kissing Dreams forehead gently.
"So boys night is cancelled next friday?", Sapnap asked disappointed and Karl quickly kissed him and said: "That means we have time to watch that movie you wanted to see"
Sapnap smiled, wrapped his arm around Karls waist. "Well, I'd gladly trade in boys night for that"
"We'll leave you two alone now, good night", Karl said with a smile and quickly they were on their way home.
George and Dream spend a few hours in their garden, looking at the stars and every once in a while Dream looked at his ring and smiled. They would be okay.
