Dream sat on the long table, with the rest of his Slytherin friends, awaiting the announcement of the winner of the house cup.
He had a big smile on his face, as he knew how hard they've been working all year long.
They would win for sure.
He saw Bad and George on the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw tables, waved them with a wide smile.
They waved back smiling as well.
Sapnap sat on the Gryffindor table, but he was too far away for Dream to spot him.
His attention was captured by Punz, who said: "I think Dream got most of the points this year."
Dream chuckled.
"I don't know, maybe. I mean I handed in all the assignments early, helped the professors and I didn't loose any points. I just didn't want to mess up."
"Me neither, just got points.", Sam said, with a smile, "We got this, this time the house cup is ours."
Suddenly the great hall fell quiet and everyone awaited the banners to change colors.
Wind rushed through the hall and Dream held his breath.
The banners flicked and fell back into place, dipped in a deep shade of green.
The Slytherin table started applauding and cheering and laughing.
Dreams heart felt so full and he incredibly accomplished.
The other tables started applauding as well, when suddenly the headmaster stepped forward.
"Yes, really good work Slytherin, but I still have some points to give."
Dream stopped in his cheering, the applause and laughing died down.
He looked over to Sam and Punz, who had lost their smile.
This couldn't mean anything good.
"Ron Weasley. 50 points, for a good game of chess!", Dumbledore announced and Dreams heart dropped.
"Hermione Granger. 50 points, for being a bright young witch!", the words began to weight down on Dreams chest.

"Harry Potter. 60 points, for being brave.", Dream felt like he was suffocating.
They were tied.
Them and the Gryffindors that didn't do anything other then loose points all year long.
"And Neville Longbottom. 10 points, for being a good friend."
Dream started crying.
He was angry, disappointed, felt betrayed.
The banners changed color and the Gryffindors started cheering.
Dream felt sick.
He choked out a sob and left.
He ran out the great hall, leaving the castle and he didn't stop walking, till he reached the black lake.
He sat down, buried his face in his hands, sobbing, pathetically crying, about this loss.
Suddenly someone touched his shoulder, softly.
He looked up, eyes red and puffy from the tears and saw George.
"Why did he do that?", Dream asked, voice betraying him, falling apart.
George hugged him.
"I don't know, I'm so sorry. You would've deserved this, more than anyone else."
Dreams body was shaking, as he cried on Georges shoulder, till there were no tears left.
"I just wanted us to win, I wanted us to have a reason to finally be happy to be in Slytherin. Everyone hates us, there were some first years that got bullied, just for the color of their tie. It's so unfair, those are kids, they're only ten. I worked so hard, I thought I could help them be proud of our house."
Dream was stumbling over his own words, sobs filling his cracking voice.
"I couldn't help, I didn't work hard enough. I feel so sorry.", he mumbled, trying to catch his breath.
George just ran his fingers through Dreams blonde hair, listened to him patiently.
"Punz and Sam were so happy, when the banners turned green, too. We thought we finally did it, but it was still not enough."

George softly placed his hands on Dreams cheeks, wiped away the tears.
"You did enough Dream. For me you are first. For me you won the house cup. You were so ambitious and Dream, I envy you for how much you did, for all the effort. You're more then enough, you did more then enough and I'm so proud of you."
They fell silent and George saw something in Dreams expression change.
"I love you George.", Dream suddenly said, it sounded so soft and honest, that it knocked all the air out of Georges lungs, "I never had the courage to tell you, but George I need you to know now, I love you so much."
Georges eyes went wide and he started smiling, before he tackled Dream, so his back hit the grass.
"I love you too. I love you Dream."
Dream pulled him closer, hid his face in the crook of Georges neck.
"Thank you for being you.", he mumbled.
Georges heart started racing at those words.
"No, thank you for being you.", he replied, before he pushed himself up, hand left and right from Dreams head.
And then he kissed him and Dream felt like he was on top of the world.
Georges lips were soft against his, tasted like chocolate and apples.
Dream pulled him flush against his body, one hand on Georges back and the other on his cheek.
It felt like the time had stopped, as if this moment would hold on forever, until George broke away with a soft sigh.
He blushed, when he looked at Dream, looked away shyly.
"You're- You're a really good kisser Dream."
Dream chuckled, kissed Georges forehead.
"You're not half as bad yourself."
George laid his head down on Dreams chest, heard the fast heart beat and smiled.
"You know what? I'll give the others a speech, to motivate them for next year and to made them proud to be in Slytherin.", Dream said, with a new motivation.
"Sounds fantastic.", George mumbled, "No wonder you got chosen to be a prefect next year."
Dreams eyes widen.
"I got chosen to be a what?"
"I wasn't supposed to tell you, oh god."
Dream sat up with George in his lap, shaking him softly. "I'm gonna be a what?"
Dream smiled widely and George couldn't help himself.
"When the professor and the prefect committee decided on the next prefects, you were on top of everyone's list for Slytherin and we collectively agreed, that you would be the best choice."
"Oh my god, I'm gonna be a prefect. George!", Dream laughed, as he hugged the brunette, "I'm gonna be a prefect!"
"Yes, you'll be a prefect too. We can do prefect stuff together.", George said with a smile, as Dream nearly squished him, "But you have to act surprised, when they ask you to take the post."
"I will! No worries!", Dream promised and kissed George on the cheek, "I'm gonna do such a good job and I'm gonna work really hard and I'm gonna do everything I can to motivate everyone to also do their best."
"You always do a good job Dream, that's why they chose you to begin with.", George replied, earning another kiss.
"You just turned the worst day of my life into the best day.", Dream said, "I love you."
