"Falco!" Y/N exclaimed as Colt, she and other Marley troops retreated fast away. Middle East troops kept firing shots as some of the Marley troops die on the battlefield. "This is such a drag..."

The sound of guns kept on firing everywhere. Enemy troops kept on throwing grenade bombs. Marley's troops kept falling for their traps on landmines. Marley Troops getting killed by guns shooting them. This was the battlefield as gruesome as it is there is no choice to flee. Bloodied lifeless bodies lie everywhere. Everyone was running for their lives, wishing to not get hit by bullets being shot out by the enemies.

"Falco!" Both Y/N and Colt exclaimed in worry.

"Colt... Y/N... Why..."

"Thank God you're fine. Wake yourself up, kid. This is the battlefield." Y/N said as Colt took off his helmet and placed it on Falco.

"We're going to run for it! Hold on tight!" The colt who was carrying Falco behind him and Y/N ran as fast as they can to reach the Trench Warfare.

Successfully the three ended up going into the trench warfare safely with no casualties.

Y/N sighed in relief that not a single bullet hit her as she went up to the Warrior Candidates.

"Falco, are you drunk or something?" Zofia asked.

"Looks like he bumped his head hard." Gabi then said.

"Do you remember we've been at war for four years?" Udo asked the dazed boy named Falco.

"Is Falco alright?" Everyone turned their heads and saw Y/N who was wearing the soldier uniform and helmet alongside her armband that had the same colour as theirs.

"Y/N!" Gabi exclaimed as she ran up and hugged her tightly.

"Aren't you supposed to be in training camp?" Udo asked.

"Finished early than expected..." Y/N explained.

"Welcome back, Y/N..." Zofia smiled.

"Thanks, everyone..." Y/N smiled softly at the kids. Y/N respected the warrior candidates for surviving 4 years of continuous war full of people dying, guns and explosions.

"Who're you, people? Wait... Uh..." Falco looked dazed as blood streamed down his forehead. "Wasn't I just flying around with swords in my hands, going 'fwsshhh' up to the titans and..."

'What the fuck??!!!' Y/N internally panicked with a horrified face. Gabi poured a cup of water onto Falco's head making him return to reality. 'What the actual fuck was that? Did Eren do some silly nonsense to him? Even if it's not, I'll still blame it all partially on Eren.'

"Yeah looks like we need to explain the operation from the top..." Gabi said as Udo noticed Y/N's expressions.

"Are you okay, Y/N?" Udo asked as Y/N snapped out of her horrified face.

"H-huh? Oh yeah. I'm fine... Umm..." Y/N thought deeply about what excuse she could use. "I heard someone moaning while dying..."

"A-ah ok?" Udo replied and believe what Y/N said. Y/N sighed in relief as she started to pay attention to the warrior candidates.

"Listen to this, Falco. We're about to put an end to four years of war." Gabi explained with a smug grin as Y/N sweat dropped because of the child's overly filling ego. "Once we take Fort Slava or to be precise, once we sink the Middle Eastern Federation's fleet in the port behind it Marley will have won this war. But first, we have to take Fort Slava and the hill it protects or we'll have no hope of invading the port."

"Gosh what a drag..." Y/N sat down next to Falco who was getting treated and aided by Zofia and Falco while Gabi stopped blabbering after she spoke as if she was Marley's spokesperson.

"You'd think the Marley Navy could just attack from the sea," Zofia spoke.

"Zofia! Do you think we can expect anything from the navy? It took those incompetent assholes four years to gain control of the seas!" Udo exclaimed as he began to panic, pulling Falco's bandage around his head tighter. "Even with all of those battleships! And they lost half of them in the process! And they had the gall to tell us in the army to pull our weight and take a fort or two! God fucking damn those pricks!!"

A sudden flashback of Hange panicking their as off made Y/N burst out in laughter because of their similarities with Udo. A bittersweet smile then formed on Y/N's face remembering the Survey Corps.

"Oi kid. I told you not to swear until you are 20 and you'll burst Falco's skull in a second if you kept doing that." Y/N patted Udo's back.

"Oh, sorry sorry..." Udo let go of Falco's bandages.

"So uh, what exactly are we warrior candidates doing out here on the front lines?" Falco asked as Y/N shrugged.

'I forgot that I'm also a warrior candidate... Fuck Zeke for putting me here.' Y/N cursed internally.

"It's all part of the process of deciding which of us deserves to be... The next warrior..." Gabi said as if the spotlight was shining on her. Falco's brows furrow in irritation.

'Girl... If only you knew I didn't want to be a warrior candidate... Y'all can fight for the position while Im just gonna relax here.' Y/N thought as she sweatdropped.

"It's almost time. Captain Magath decided to use the front lines as our final exam..." Gabi said. "He's thinking ahead for the next war... He's looking for someone to inherit the Armoured Titan and star in the upcoming operation to subjugate Paradis Island."

'Ummm... Girl, I don't think so...' Y/N thought with a confident smirk.

"Gee, I wonder who they're gonna choose," Gabi smirked confidently as she glanced at Falco.

'They're all thinking who's gonna get the Armoured Titan while im just here not wanting to get my hairy ass brother's titan...' Y/N sighed to herself thinking what kind of life she was plunked into.

"What's that, Gabi? Sounds like you think you're the only one for the job." Falco snickered.

"Come on, is there anyone else?" Gabi sneered back.

"Heh... Says the one who can't even beat me to a wrestling match" Y/N boasted with pride. "Not even Colt can beat me to it..."

'Except Levi...' Y/N continued the answer through her thoughts.

"Yeah, when you compare Y/N to the rest of us..." Zofia agreed.

"She's more accomplished." Undo agreed as well.

"It's got nothing to do with accomplishments, Udo. I'm always telling you this. What sets me apart from you is my resolve." Gabi exclaimed with a half look of agitated and determined. "The resolve to take Eldians' future into my own hands and slaughter those island demons who've caused us so much pain. That way only good Eldian like us will be left. I'm gonna win this war and prove it to the world. I won't lose."

Y/N gave a dark grin as Gabi began to tie up some metal things together.

"I'm gonna set everyone free from the internment zone."

'You exactly have the same hopeful thought like Reiner who promised to take back the founding but miserably failed. I guess the Braun family go all talk but don't succeed.' Y/N gave a dark chuckle that made the Warrior Candidates shock with a cold shiver on their backs. 'Well, it's not their fault for getting such things and thoughts...'

"Y-Y/N?" Falco nervously asked who looked genuinely sacred of her vague chuckle. Y/N changed her dark persona and smiled brightly in just a blink of a second.

"Don't worry about such things like me wanting the Armoured Titan. I don't aim to get the Armoured." Y/N smiled brightly as if there wasn't a war going on right now.

'Well, shit I nearly cracked there... For Ymir's sake control your temper, Y/N Yeager.' Y/N sighed. 'She's just a child and you're a grown-ass woman who was a not so tall grown-ass handsome fidget spinner of a man.'

"Hey, what's that thing for?" Falco asked Gabi holding up metal rods that were tied together. Y/N squinted her eyes to see what were the metal rods and realized it was explosives.

"This? Ain't it great?!" Gabi held it up with a prideful look and smile of what she had created.

"It looks like shit..." Y/N said but was cut off by Colt...

"I don't understand, Captain Magath! There's no way we, foot soldiers, could destroy the railroad behind those machine guns..." Colt and Captain Magath emerged out of a tent. "The enemy's trenches are flawless. We don't have a way in. Moreover, they have covered fire from the fort. Even if we stay put, they could drop shells on us at any time!"

"You sound like you have an idea, Colt."

"Let's deploy the Jaw and the Cart. Galliard and Pieck can get the job done. They could clear out the enemy trenches and pillboxes in no time." Colt suggested.

'I mean he has a point. The Jaw and the Cart are extremely quick due to their size and height compared to the other titan shifts. Somehow that description made me remind myself of my little lovely shortie at home.' Y/N chuckled to herself.

"No. If we play our cards wrong here we lose." Magath answered sternly with no thought.

"Captain Magath, it's here!" A soldier informed them as Captain Magath took the binoculars and see at the enemy territory.

"It?"

Y/N stood up and looked over the trench. Despite having no binoculars, she saw a tank-like machine that crosses on train tracks.

"It. The armoured train. Both ends have a nasty piece of work attached to them. The Federation's newest weapon was an anti-Titan cannon. These monsters fire 150mm armour-piercing rounds that can take out a titan in one shot." Magath explained as Colt also stood up to withness the dangerous weaponry being launched out. "Even one of the Nine Titans."

'It's like the spears in Paradis but has more distance and range opportunity. If getting the hands of this blueprint then it's an ultimate advantage.' Y/N thought.

"But both of our titans are agile enough. They'd never get hit in the nape." Colt defended.

"But what if they did? "

"Then we'd loss two titan warriors and the powers they hold might never be recovered," Colt answered with no choice.

"Exactly. Just like how the operations we launched nine years ago to reclaim the Founder blew upon our faces and we lost the Colossus and the Female." Magath said as Y/N chuckled to herself. "People saw Marley's military strength weaken, leading to the wat were still dealing with today. The Paradis Island operation ended up getting postponed "

'All because of Erwin's huge brains...' Y/N smiled bitterly remembering the nights, Erwin would just explain to her the plan he ought to do.

"Tell me, what is it that makes our fatherland a superpower?"

"The power of the titans..." Colt replied with the most obvious answer.

"That's right if we lose any more of them Marley will fall apart. The power of the Titans is absolute. It must not be any other way." Magath answered as he looked back to his assistant. "Prepare the Eldian unit to attack."

'Yes sir!" His assistant did what the Captain said.

"Captain Magath, that's just-"

"It's just what, Eldian?" Magath looked back at Colt with pure intimidation in his eyes, not wanting to be pushed by a so-called Eldian. Colt was taken back and didn't reply. "You're warriors who swore allegiance to Marley, aren't you? This is their chance to bring glory to the fatherland. The eight hundred Eldians here get to be heroes."

'Heroes? My ass. It sounded as if we, Eldians are just pawns. Easily replaceable pawns. You... Captain Magath... We aren't cattle and puppets to be used for your pleasure and success. Mark my words, I will make you regret those words that ever fell out of your damned dirty mouth.' Y/N tightened her grip in rage wanting to kill someone with no mercy but with atony. 'Us, Eldians, aren't born just to be someone's mere puppet for your over desires.'

"You warrior candidates will remain on standby. We need the eight hundred men in the Eldian unit to destroy that railroad whatever the cost." Magath faced the warrior candidates as Y/N tried to clutch something to keep her anger in check. "As long as that armoured train is running around the fort, we can't afford to send in the Armor or the Beast."

"But... Captain Magath." Y/N tried to hide her enraged face and tone by looking down.

"Y/N Yeager, if you intend to inherit the Beast Titan from your brother and steal the chance from Colt, you need to have resolve benefitting a commanding officer," Magath said as Y/N's shoulder's tensed a bit.

'But the thing is... I don't want to inherit the Beast...' Y/N frowned.

The armoured train began to move close.

"Excellent. We can get the train and the tracks in one fell swoop." Magath looked with his binoculars.

"Sir, let me do it..." Gabi spoke up with a determined tone as Magath looked at her.

"Hm?"

"Ta-da!" Gabi showed the Captain, the metal rod explosives she tied together. "I can neutralize the armoured train all on my own!"

Everyone was dumbfounded as Gabi said those words. Y/N could only laugh.

"You're leading yourself to death," Y/N said.

"Hey, Gabi..." Falco reached out to Gabi trying to stop her.

'What is this kid thinking? Trying to die quicker?' Y/N thought.

"Do you know how much it cost our country to train you? Permission denied." Magath answered sternly.

"It's true. I'm gifted with the talent you won't find in the likes of those guys. You may never see a warrior as amazing as me ever again." Gabi said looking down. "Or one so drop-dead gorgeous."

Everyone sweatdropped at Gabi's sentence already sensing the overflowing ego of hers. Y/N almost burst out a laugh.

'Wtf. This kid's ego is overfilling more than Horse's poop bucket overfilling.' Y/N chuckled to herself.

"But if I succeed we won't have to lose right hundred Eldian soldiers," Gabi exclaimed as it made Y/N''s eyes fill with hope knowing that eight hundred Eldians will be saved.

"She's one very ambitious child," Y/N whispered to Colt as he nodded in total agreement.

"And if you fail?"

"We lose one promising warrior candidate and seven explosives." Magath stood silent as he stared at Gabi. "If I'm worth more than eight hundred soldiers then so be it, but if you'd sacrifice eight hundred men out of love for me-"

"Fine. You go." And with that, Gabi looked extremely confident and determined to do it.

"Gabi, you cant-" Falco looked extremely worried and shocked alongside Zofia and Udo.

"I swear. I'll prove to you that im worthy of inheriting the Armor!" Falco blushed as Gabi began to take off her uniform showing the white tank top and long shorts underneath it.

"What are you doing?"

"For the sake of this plan, I request permission to remove my armband just this once."

"Very well."

"Gabi..." Y/N's eyes lightened up as she smiled proudly at her. She squats down to the height of Gabi and held her shoulders. "Kid... Do what's best and reckless..."

Gabi was now walking on the battlefield while raising her hands to know that she was not a threat. One thing that was slowing her was the explosives tied to her ankle.

The enemy soldier was about to shoot at Gabi but stopped as she tripped and fell. Given the chance, Gabi discreetly took off the explosives on her ankle slowly waiting for the train to pass by.

"Not yet. Wait for it." Gabi told herself holding the explosives beneath her as it seems the enemy hasn't spotted it yet. "Now!"

With the armoured train finally reaching the spot, Gabi stood up and threw the explosives right at the armoured train with a huge bang as the ruble from the train buried the enemy trench.

"She did it!" A soldier exclaimed in shock.

'One thing the stupid enemies have made is hesitating to shoot.' Y/N smirked proudly for Gabi as Gabi began to do a little dance and laugh before running back to the trench.

"Galliard! Get a move on!" Magath ordered.

Y/N's eyes widen as she saw an enemy soldier reaching for his gun aiming it at Gabi.

"Falco!" Colt cried out. Y/N chased Falco who was also chasing Gabi.

'Kids. What a drag. Why does Falco be such a simp to Gabi.' Y/N thought trying to avoid the bullets being shot by the enemy. "Tch... I have no choice.'

Both Gabi and Falco fell down the small trench as Y/N didn't. Slowly crystal began to form on Y/N's back as her eyes widen stopping her crystallisation when she heard Porco's titan behind her.

'Did he see that?' Y/N anxiously asked herself if Porco saw Y/N crystallizing her back for a blink of a second before it stopped and disappeared. 'By the looks of his titan, he doesn't seem to look shocked. Shit. I was careless.'

Y/N quickly came inside the hole with Gabi and Falco as Porco began to block the bullets.

"Mister Galliard!" Gabi exclaimed.

'It seems like no one noticed my crystallizing. Thank Ymir or else I'll be dead.' Y/N sighed in relief.

Poco dashed with extreme speed up to the enemy soldier who was firing bullets at him. Porco destroyed the soldier with ease.

Y/N looked up and saw the airship incoming and tched in annoyance. The girl knew that inside of that airship is simple number 2 and annoying hairy asshole older brother and a ton of poor Eldians that will soon plunder to become a mindless titan.

'Tch... The real show is starting...'

'This is the war... It reminds me of the times back in Paradis where limbs and body parts were just stacked onto a cart...' Y/N stopped looking at the Jaw and the Cart destroying the enemy trenches and their soldiers and noticed that Falco brought down an injured enemy soldier.

"What're you doing, Falco?" Gabi asked as she wore back her uniform while Zofia and Udo were trying to aid a random Marley soldier who kept complaining why there were shot.

"What's it look like I'm doing? He can't fight anymore, so he's a prisoner." Falco leaned the injured enemy soldier onto the wooden wall of the trench.

"You could've just let him die like his companions," Y/N said.

"Udo, gimme some bandages," Falco asked as Udo gave him the bandages.

"Stupid kid. He's the enemy, just let 'im bleed out." The Marleyan soldier who was being treated by Zofia and Udo said.

"I agree with you, fat man." Y/N nodded.

"Is that supposed to be your selling point? Following international law so that you can outshine me and inherit the Armor?" Gabi asked.

"I swear not everyone likes being the Armoured, Gabi" Y/N hissed under her breathe in annoyance but it doesn't seem like they didn't hear what she said.

"You're useless in battle," Gabi said.

"What do I care."

"You're a weird one."

The enemy soldier began to mutter something but in a different language.

"He's saying something..." Falco announced as Udo began to frown and look down "Interpret for me, Udo. Tell him 'You're gonna be fine, I stopped the bleeding.'"
