"Y/N!!" Zeke called out to a tired Y/N who's still running after Zeke.

"This is so unfair!! I have short legs and you have those disgusting lanky tall ones! There's no way I can chase you! Cheater!!" Y/N pouted annoyed that the fact that she could not even reach up to her older brother.

Zeke just laughed as Y/N became more upset and crossed her arms giving a hmmp sound.

"Oh come on Y/N don't be upset with me. How about we play catch?" Zeke suggested as Y/N smirked.

"I'll definitely beat you, monkey brother!!" Y/N boasted as she dashed fast with her short legs back home to get the baseball glove and ball

"Please don't call me that again, Y/N. I don't even look like a monkey" Zeke sighed.

Y/N came back with the glove and the ball with a huge smug smirk on her face giving a determined era to beat a monkey.

"I'm going to fucking slaughter you, you hairy monkey." Y/N threw the glove at her brother with a sinister smile. "What a coward"

"Language. You'll never beat me, Lil sis. I'll prove to you that your older brother isn't a coward." Zeke replied.

"Fuck everything" Y/N killed three titans at a time and stood on a random roof slowly gathering energy.

"Y/N." Levi arrived beside her who had evaporating blood on his face. "Any casualties?"

"Not yet. Almost. But I saved them" Y/N answered.

"Good." Levi went away and did more titan killing leaving Y/N alone.

Y/N sighed as she looked at the Monkey Titan who was still standing with the titan carrying a bag and some larger titans.

'Why does it look like it's waiting for something?" Y/N asked herself as she inhaled and exhaled. 'What are they up to?'

A sudden roar was heard as Y/N covered her ears.

"What the fuck?" Y/N looked at the titans and saw the Titan with the bag came close to the monkey titan as it took a crate from its bag.

With the energy, Y/N had gotten from resting she used her speed and came up to Levi who is standing on a roof looking in the direction of the roar.

"Levi!" Y/N said. Before the girl could finish the Monkey Titan threw a crate as the two shorties looked at the crate getting thrown into Shiganshina. Y/N's eyes widened from realizing something.

"I'm so smart," Y/N muttered.

"What is it?"

"It's quite weird that the fact Berthold isn't here right? I wonder where he could be?" Y/N asked with sarcasm while glancing at the grate going inside of Shiganshina. Levi's eyes widened as he realized it.

A few seconds passed as nothing happened.

"What? He didn't transform?" Levi asked in confusion as Y/N gave the same confusion as him.

"Something happened the made Berthold stop from transforming," Y/N said.

"Berthold hasn't transformed yet which is good for now. Get back on protecting and killing" Levi suggested as Y/N nodded. "Stay safe"

"You too" With that Levi left.

"Fuck everything," Y/N muttered once more and began to kill with no mercy as she glided and killed titans left and right.

Time passes as Y/N's killing spree stopped and took another rest.

Rest on top of a rooftop of a house. The house was the farthest away from Shiganshina. Y/N got a good close look at the titans just meters away from her. Y/N felt the Monkey Titan's eyes on her.

'What are you up to, hairy monkey?' Y/N thought as the titan blood evaporated from her face and blades.

A huge glow of light emerges from behind. Y/N look back as her eyes widened. The glow of light became larger and larger as the ground shook.

The light exploded emitting a huge gust of wind as the ground shook. Y/N left the rooftop she once stood and began to find Levi.

"Levi!" Y/N said as she landed next to him sharing the same face of shock. "Did he transform?"

"Shitty things are happening right now" Levi uttered as Y/N took out a handkerchief and cleaned Levi's sweat on his forehead.

"Life is shit," Y/N replied giving a bitter smile.

The leader of the Dirk Squad appeared beside a roof next to Y/N and Levi.

"We're done cleaning up here. The only same ones are left in the front. Still, how will we take down the Beast Titan? He's perfectly content on sitting there not moving an inch." Dirk asked.

"What a fucking coward," Y/N uttered.

"Yeah, it seems he's a coward. Not like he had the balls, to begin with." Levi replied.

"I bet his dick is the size of a pea" Y/N snickered.

"You two take a break. We'll mop the rest of them!" Dirk along with the rest of his squad moved forward and began to head to the small titans in front.

"What was that explosion? Is it Berthold or something else?" Y/N asked.

Suddenly Levi and Y/N saw rocks passing by their sight. The two were shocked and reacted fast. Levi immediately took Y/N into his arms and covered her from the rocks coming up to them.

Y/N looked at what was happening and saw the houses being destroyed by the rocks coming by. The two shorties were shocked as they saw everything. Blood and screams by scouts as their bodies flew up with constant blood sprayed up above.

Y/N began to reminisce about the death of the past Levi Squad and how their bodies were killed in such a brutal way. It reminded her what happened.

Scouts body laid down on the ground. Dead and cold as their bold painted the ground. Y/N paralysed at the sight.

"Frontal bombardment! All troops take cover!" Erwin shouted from above as Y/N's eyes diverted at the Monkey Titan who was preparing to throw another batch.

Somewhat Y/N felt Deja Vu. It's like she saw a familiarity. She doesn't know what. Is it the posture of how the Monkey Titan is doing or has something like this happened before?

"Shit! You guys!" Levi shouted as the two of them tried to come up to the others and save them but were too late.

The two took cover between two houses as they saw bodies once again sprouting blood from above as screams were made. Along all of those, Y/N also heard a ringing causing her to cover her ears.

"Are you okay, Y/N?" Levi asked as Y/N's eyes were watering. Levi cleaned Y/N's under eyes with his cloak as he held her close. "Don't worry it'll be over soon"

With Levi wrapped around his arms on Y/N, the two began to go to the horses with the scouts.

'Grow up Y/N. This is war. War has blood and bodies. If I want to avenge all of their dead bodies, I'll slaughter them with no mercy.' Y/N thought as her aura turned dark and her thirst for blood began to begin. 'We are at war! No mercy for them!"

"The titans are throwing boulders!" Levi shouted as the two shorties arrived at the horses.

"Captain Levi! Y/N!" Marlo cried out.

"Retreat the horses inside the wall" Y/N ordered with calm composure.

"Roger!" With that, another batch of rocks attacked.

"Hurry! Stay out of the line of fire!" Levi ordered.

Everyone retreated. All Y/N could hear inside her head were fight and war. She wanted revenge. Her bloodthirst began to rise more wanting to kill but she could not at the moment.

Y/N saw Floch panicking as he covered his ears.

"Oi! Do you want to die, you idiot?!" Y/N said as she yeeted Floch in front of the others.

everyone arrived at the end of the wall where Erwin had come down from above the wall.

"How is it?" Y/N asked the Commander in front of her.

"Terrible. His throw has destroyed the front lines of houses. If he keeps on throwing everything will get levelled." Erwin answered as Levi came up beside Y/N. "We won't have anywhere left to hide."

"We can't retreat to the other side of the wall?" Levi asked.

"No... the colossal titan is already heading this way. Spreading fire all along his path. Supposed we scale the wall to avoid the rocks, we'd have to leave the horses." Erwin answered. "If we retreat there, there's no hope for victory."

"What happened to Hange's group?" Y/N asked. "Is Eren alright?"

"I don't know. But the majority of them were caught in the explosion. We've been dealt a serious blow" Erwin replied as Y/N hoped for the rest of her friends and brother's life ok. "The beast Titan directed the small titans so our soldiers would group up in one place. As such while engaging the small titan, Dirk squad, Marlene squad and Klaus Squad were all wiped out by the bombardment.

Everyone had a dark look on their faces as Erwin began to explain. Darker faces were on Levi and Y/N.

"In other words, our remaining forces this side of the gate... consists of you new scout recruits, Captain Levi, Y/N and... me" As Erwin finished another bombardment of rocks came as the other scouts were panicking and began to duck unlike Levi, Y/N and Erwin who had a calm demeanour.

"We're doomed!" The others cried out.

"So... Erwin... Any crazy and dangerous plan in mind?" Y/N asked.

A huge thud was heard as everyone looked up and saw Eren on the wall sprawled out.

"What the fuck?"

Another bombardment of rocks arrived.

"The fucking monkey has a good guess we're we at. This place will look like a children's playground made by death himself." Y/N said.

"Erwin... If you're saying we've got no chance to counterattack, let's get ready to flee." Levi said. "Wake Eren sprawled out up there. Ride him and flee with him and carry many people as possible. At least we'll have some survivors."

Y/N ignored Floch's speech about the fact that it was dumb and useless to join the scouts thinking that they'll live in the end. (I am lazy to do Floch's speech lol)

'Is this all it ends? Everyone retreating? Letting the fucking enemy win?! Fuck everything! I want to kill! I want to kill them so badly!' Y/N gripped her blades tighter than ever feeling the rush of extreme bloodthirst.

"Levi, Y/N. what would you do?" Erwin asked

"Hoho. First I'll kill that fucking monkey titan" Y/N answered.

"I'm facing the Beast Titan and draw him away-" Levi answered but before he could finish Erwin replied.

"Impossible. You won't even get close." Erwin replied.

'Why do I feel like Erwin lost all hope at this point?' Y/N asked herself.

"Probably not. But if you, Y/N and Eren escape alive, there's still hope." Levi continued. "Isn't that the best we can ask at this point?"

"What a huge defeat. To be honest, I bet none of us will return home anyway" Y/N sighed.

"Yes assuming we have no way to counterattack" Erwin replied as this made Levi's eyes widen.

"Is there a way?" Levi's eyes lighten as he looked at Erwin.

"Yes"

"Why didn't you just say that sooner?" Levi asked. "Why'd you keep your shitty mouth shut?"

"If the plan goes well, you two will be able to take down the Beast Titan. But it will take the recruits... and myself to give our lives." Erwin said.

'Shit. Every time. Every time titans attack lives are wasted. It's just a heroic sacrifice or just accidental. What a shitty world we live in.' Y/N gripped her blades.

Another wave of rocks came as the recruits panicked once again.

"It's like you said. Either way, most of us will die. No, it's all guaranteed we'll all be wiped out. In which case, we can stake our heroic death in a slim chance for victory." Erwin spoke as he walked away while Y/N and Levi followed him. "For this to work... if I do not lead the vanguard they will not follow. And I will die before anyone else. Without ever learning what's inside the basement..."

"Huh?" Levi asked as Erwin sat on a wooden box sighing.

'Curiosity killed the cat. Just like what happened to Armin's parents. All of this to know the truth.' Y/N sighed as well.

"I... I want to go to the basement. Everything I've done till now... because I thought this day would come. That someday I should check if I was right. So many times... I thought deaths will be so much easier. But always the dream I shared with my father flashed through my mind. And now I'm so close to reaching out the answers and grabbing it." Erwin spoke. "They're right there."

'Seeing Erwin like this is... different and... Sad.' Y/N thought

"But Levi, Y/N. Can you see them? Our comrades? Our comrades are looking at us. They want to know what became the hearts they gave. Because the fighting isn't over yet."

With that, another bombardment of rocks and thee panic screams and shrieks of the recruits were made.

"Is it all just inside my head? Nothing more than just a childish delusion?" Erwin looked up and saw Y/N's tears streaming on her cheeks down to her chin.

Levi kneeled as Y/N gave the iconic salute.

"Erwin. You've fought well. Thanks to you we've at least reached this far" Y/N said.

"I'm making the choice. Give up on your dreams and die. Lead the recruits straight into hell." Levi spoke as Y/N snickered.

"

Yeah. Lead them straight to hell as I and Levi will murder that monkey and plunk him to the depths of hell." Y/N managed to give out a psychotic chuckle despite the continuous stream of tears on her cheeks.

With that Erwin gave the last smile Y/N and Levi could see from him.

"What?! You want us to go after it with just our ODM gear?!" Y/N exclaimed as she changed her blades.

"He's standing in an open area. There's not even a tree nor house insight." Levi added.

"No. There's happen to be a right line of objects at just the right height. Sneak close using the titans and assassinate the Beast Titan."

"I'm announcing our final operation! All troops line up!" The scouts did what Erwin ordered gathering in front of Levi, Y/N and Erwin. "We will be doing a cavalry charge. Our goal: to rush the Beast Titan. Of course, we'll be making ourselves complete targets. So we'll wait until he's ready to throw and fire the smoke signals together. That should reduce his accuracy somewhat.

While we're acting as decoys Captain Levi and Y/N will kill the Beast Titan. That is our plan."

Y/N didn't decide to look at the recruits face. She knew one of them vomited. She could not look at Marlo who had just become good friends with her friends.

"Standing and waiting will just mean we'll be showered with more boulders. Get ready on the double" Erwin spoke.

"Are we all heading... to our deaths?" Floch asked.

"Yes"

"If we're gonna die anyway you're saying it's better... if we die fighting?" Floch had tears in his eyes.

"Yes."

"Wait... If we're gonna die anyway, no matter how we die, even if it's disobeying orders. It all means nothing right?" Floch asked once again.

"Your precisely right. It's all meaningless. No matter what dreams or hopes you have... No matter how blessed you live... it's all the same if you're shredded by rocks." Erwin explained.

'Erwin really took Levi's quote to the heart.' Y/N thought.

"Does that mean life is meaningless? Was there even meaning in our being born? Would you say that to our fallen comrades? Their lives? Would be meaningless?" Erwin spoke up. "No, they weren't! It's us who gives meaning to our comrades' lives! The brave! The brave fell! The anguished fallen! The ones who will be remembering them are us, the living! We die trusting the living who follows to find the meaning of our lives! This is the sole method in which to rebel against this cruel world!"

The scouts charged as they all scream with Erwin holding the signal guns in their hands. It was quite a funny thing to see that made Y/N laugh.

When the Beast Titan got ready to throw another wave of rocks, the scouts shot smoke signals forward.

"You go right, I'll go left. Stay safe, love" Levi said

"Stay safe as well" And with that, the two shorties separated ways.

Y/N went close at the first titan and killed it. When she was up in the air she saw the scouts still charging.

The scouts screamed alongside the best leader Y/N had ever met and served. The commander stood as her second father figure. An admirable man. That admirable man will soon lead to his death.
