"Pst blonde- I mean Annie" I whispered as she passed by. I nodded at Armin. We had green hoods covering us from being seen. We began to move into a farther more area of the alley way as Annie came to us..

"Hello" I smiled as I gave her a small wave. "Its been a while, Annie"

"Yeh, You're really part of the Military Police Brigade now, huh?" Armin spoke.

"I never thought of you being a Military Police but I support you" I added as her eyes widened.

"Armin... Y/N" Annie murmured. "What's with the outfit?"

"Quite fashionable, am I right?" I asked her beamingly.

"We're a baggage carrier. We're using this raincoat to hide our three dimensional maneuver devices." Armin answered as I nod in agreement.

'Armin isn't doing a good job on acting' I thought.

"See?, Annie" I added as I showed my gear underneath the long raincoat.

Though Annie looked a bit skeptical.

"What for?" Annie asked as I took of my hood with Armin.

"Annie, my good friend. Could you give us a hand in helping Eren escape?" I asked with seriousness.

"Where to?" Annie asked. "After rebelling against the monarchy, where within the wall will you go to?"

"We're only going to hide out temporarily." Armin answered.

"Besides, taking a break from monarchy is a good thing once in a while. You know me, Annie that I'm my own person." I added. "We don't plan to oppose them head on"

"It'll be reported as an act of rebellion by the part of the Survey Corps, but that'll buy us some time during which we'll prepare what's needed to overturn the commission of inquiry's decision." Admin explained.

"Without fail" I added giving a thumbs up.

"What do you need to overturn it? Does something that convenient exist? Any leads?" Annie asked.

'She's not letting down her guard just one bit.' I thought. 'It'll be harder than I thought.'

"Sorry, I can't say." Armin answered looking down. Annie sighed.

"I hate to tell you this, but it's out of the question." Annie answered. "I won't say anything though, so do what you can"

Annie began to leave.

"Annie!" Armin exclaimed.

"Please, Annie!" I added pleadingly. "At this rate, Eren would get killed!"

Annie stopped.

"Ignorant people, for their own self preservation, are unwittingly attempting to set humanity on the path to extermination!" Armin exclaimed as he looked down.

"I know this isn't convincing enough. But even so, all we can do is take a huge gamble now!" I said. "ofcourse, we'll do our best to avoid causing you any trouble. But in order to bypass the inspection within Wall Sina, the help of the Military Police Brigade is crucial"

"We have no other choice!" Armin added.

"Say.... Do I really seem like such a good person to the two of you?" Annie asked.

"It sounds like I'm using you as a thing and not my friend who's a human. " I answered.

'I mean there's no person in the world that can fit the name 'a good person'...'

"I don't particularly like that term.. I mean that's just.. seems like something you'd call someone who's of use to you" Armin said "and I don't think there's anyone who's of use to everyone. That said, if you don't agree to cooperate... you'd be a bad person in our eyes, right?"

Annie looked back at us and took off her shotgun that she loaded as she placed it on the wall, looking back at us.

"Fine." Annie answered as Armin was suprised. She turned around for a bit though I saw that she placed a familiar silver ring on her hand. "I'm in."

'We have to be extra careful. Knowing Annie for years past, she always has a trick up her sleeve.'

We walked with Eren, Armin and Mikasa who had the same long green raincoat like me as Annie was infront of us.

"We got through more easily than I expected." Eren spoke as his eyes went up to Annie "that's the Military Police Brigade for you. It's clear that they work hard day after day."

'I swear Eren might blow out our cover with his mouth'

"Quite looking around." Mikasa said.

"Now, we'll just have to hope that they don't notice its Jean in there." Eren said as I almost bursted out of laughter.

"Lets bet Jean won't stand a full 3 hours being Eren." I joked. "We can't expect that to work long."

"The two of us look nothing alike, after all" Eren said.

"Don't worry too much" Armin said as he looked back at us. "Both of you have a villainous glint in your eyes and similar, evil looking faces"

I snickered.

"I can stop laughing at that fact and the fact that Eren and Jean have the same temper as each other" I added.

"I don't have a horse face like him" Eren said as I agreed.

"Hey, if I had decided not to help you, how were you planning to get over the wall?" Annie asked as I looked at Armin to answer.

"We planned to get past using three dimensional maneuver devices." Armin answered.

"That's so reckless. To begin with, running before entering Stohess District would've saved you a lot of trouble, no?" Annie asked as she seemed to be much on guard due to suspicions. "Why here? And now?"

"I predicted the complicated terrain in this city would make the switch more likely to succeed" Armin answered. "And rather than being openly defiant, feigning obedience would decrease suspicion and buy us more time to escape."

"I see. That makes sense." Annie replied.

'Thank God, Armin is alive and exists. We could've failed to succeed in this mission without him. Even before Wall Maria fell' I thought as I gave Armin a thankful look.

"There it is." Armin ran to the entrance to a underground way. We watched up to him.

"Here?" Annie asked.

"Yeah. We go through here." Armin replied. "The ruins of the underground city that was planned and abandoned still lie here."

We three started to go down the stairs as I didn't felt Annie behind me.

"This path continues up until near the outer gate." Armin said.

"Really that's amazing" Eren answered. me and Eren look back as Annie was still on top of the stairs.

"Annie? What're you doing. Let's go" I spoke.

"You're not about to tell us that you're scared of dark, narrow spaces, are you?" Eren asked.

'I feel like we fucked up at this point for some reason.' I thought.

"That's right. I'm scared. I'm sure a brave and reckless idiot like you wouldn't understand feelings of a frail girl like me." Annie said as she placed her hand on her chest.

"A girl who can flip a massive guy around in mid air isn't frail. Quite joking and let's get going" Eren said as he went down with Mikasa and Armin though I didn't move on my place as I stared at Annie.

"No, I won't go" Annie said as trio stopped.

'Yup. Somehow we fucked up.' I thought.

"I'm scared of going that way. If we're not moving above ground then, you're on your own."

'Did she see through us?'

"What the hell are you saying?! Get over her already! Enough screwing around!" Eren shouted who looked frustrated.

'This boy will blow the secret. He could not keep his temper down just for a second.' I glared at Eren to stop.

"Eren, keep it down" Mikasa said.

"Its fine, isn't it, Mikasa?" Annie asked. "Since for a while now, there hasn't been anyone around for a reason"

'Fuck! fuck! fuck!.. I knew I had a intuition this wouldn't work. It's quiet.. too quiet that Annie could notice' I grit my teeth.

"Honestly, I'm hurt. Just when did you come to look at me with such eyes, Armin, Y/N?" Annie said as I tightened my grip on the flare gun that I was holding onto.

"Annie... why.. did you have Marco's three dimensional maneuver device?" Armin asked as Annie stood quiet. "Down to the slightest scratches and dents.. because we maintained our equipment together... I recognized them all.."

"I see.. It was... something I found.." Annie answered though it seemed that her answer wasn't enough to fulfill the question..

"So, did you kill Sawney and Bean, the two titans we'd captured?" I asked her. Annie was still staring at a side.

"No idea. But if you something a month ago, why didn't you do anything?" Annie asked who didn't looked at us in the eyes. The quiet area around us.

"I still don't believe it. I wanted to believe I was mistaken. That's why... But.... you too" I remembered the time where the Female titan had looked at me with sympathetic eyes as the Female Titan didn't threw me harder, giving me a small chance of surviving. "Back then... because you didn't kill me... it came down to this, right?"

Annie's eyebrows furrowed slightly as the breeze of the air made her bangs look like it's flying.

"Yeah, I completely agree. I never imagined you guys end up cornering me to this extent." Annie replied as she stood quiet with the breeze flowing with her bangs.

"Hey Annie! there's still a chance that you're an idiot who had terribly timing with stupid joked that you carelessly throw in this conversation." Eren exclaimed looking frustrated and wanting to end all of this. "Regardless, just get down here! You can prove something by simply stepping down here. So come here and prove it!"

'This is why Eren is bad at negotiating' I thought as I held Eren's hood incase he would charge at Annie.

"I can't go there.. I've... failed to become a warrior.." Annie sadly looked down as she said those words.

'For somehow, the word 'warrior' is awfully familiar. It's like.. it's on the tip of my memory..' I thought.

"I'm telling you this is not funny at all!" Eren shouted.

"Lets talk this through, Annie" Armin pleaded. "We can talk this out-"

Armin was cut off by Mikasa who took a step forward while she took off her hood.

"I've had enough. I can't listen to this anymore" Mikasa took off her raincoat as she also took out here blades looking like she's going to violently kill. "It's a waste of my time. I'll slice you to shreds again, Female Titan."

'Ofcourse after Mikasa knew Annie almost took away Eren from her, she had said that she'll slice of every part of her body.' I thought. 'Maybe I was a bad influence for being a killer?'

"Mikasa!" I warned her and placed an arm infront of her from advancing.

After a few seconds of silence, I heard a laughter as I look and see it was Annie who was blushing and laughing.

'H-hange?' I thought as I remembered how Hange would laugh and blush every time a titan would be discussed. My eyes furrowed being confused at Annie's actions.

"Armin, It's great that I was a good person to you, huh?" Annie said as her eyes diverted to my confused ones. "The two of your gambles paid off this time... But now..."

Annie began to smile as her eyes furrowed.

"Lets see if my bet.... pays off.." Annie brought up a finger to her mouth as use to my instincts, I immediately triggered the smoke signal gun up.

People from around angles appeared as they began to tackle Annie preventing her from talking or moving.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw the ring had a spike as my eyes widened. With Mikasa, we dragged the two boys far away inside as possible.

"We were too late" I muttered as my teeth gritted. We all ran as fast as we could until the thunder stroke down.

Flashback..

"Mikasa, what's that?" I asked her as I saw her holding a ring that had a suspicious spike, curiously.

"I don't know. I found this on the ground. I asked Sasha if she lost a ring but she doesn't have one" Mikasa answered as she tapped it making the spike disappear.

My eyes diverted to Annie who looked like she was searching for something.

"Hey, Annie..." I spoke trying to get attention from her as she look at me.

"What?"

"Is this yours?" I asked and pointed at the ring Mikasa held. Annie nodded and took it away saying a small thank you. Once she left, I looked at Mikasa.

"That was a strange ring. I guess that's the new fashion today" I said. Mikasa nodded in reply as we both went back to doing our own stuff.

"They're so slow... Erwin and the others making me wait.. I'll be escorted by the Military Police Brigade at this rate." Levi took a sip on his black tea that I had made. He wore a simply white long sleeved shirt, that made him dashing. "If I were to guess, he's probably dealing with constipation."

"Classic Erwin.." I spoke as I fixed my gray t-shirt. Despite Eren being in his uniform, I had decided to go in a comfortable style.

"Lance Corporal, you're rather talkative lately." Eren said as I snickered.

"I've always been quiet talkative" Levi answered.

"Levi is quiet talkative. It's because you're not with him at times." I replied to Eren.

"Oh.. Like at the night after the expedition, where Lance Corporal carried you all the way to your room, carefully?" Eren asked innocently as I grabbed the sides of his head.

"I thought you two were dating. Seeing the way you two being together at all times." Eren whispered.

"Who told you that?! Tell me!" I exclaimed and tightened my grip on Eren's head giving out a small blush on my cheeks. Eren winced at my grip as he tried to escape but failed. "When I find whoever told you that complete nonsense, I'll slowly push down a knife on their throat a lot of times until the whole Survey Corps will hear those cries of help"

I heard the Lance Corporal since as I whipped my head facing him, which I looked worried unintentionally.

'Why do I feel a bit worried for shorty elf?' I thought as I sat down on my seat beside him and sipped my tea.

"I'm sorry. It's only because I made the wrong choice back then... that we're in this situation.." Eren said blaming himself once again.

"I've said this already. The result is a complete mystery." Levi said as the door opened as it showed Commander Erwin.

"Eyyyy Erwin. How's your constipation doing?" I joked and waved as I saw my other friends came inside as well...

"Its doing well, Y/N. Sorry for the delay." Erwin spoke as my friends stood beside him.

"Its fine." Eren replied as he stood up.

"You guys..." I spoke questioning why are they here. " Why are they here?"

"We've found suspect who's believed to be the Female Titan." Erwin said as I remembered the time where I told Erwin, my suspicions about who the Female Titan is.. "We'll definetly apprehend them this time.."

Mikasa, Jean, Armin and Commander Erwin had sat with us. They placed a map at the center of the table while Erwin distributed each one of us a paper that contains the plan.

"Our plan is for the day after tomorrow, during our passage in the capital where we are to answer the summons at Stohess District. It will be our first and last chance. If we miss it, the capital will take custody of Eren and it'll likely become more difficult to investigate those who plot to destroy the walls." Erwin explained as I focused reading the plan infront of me, trying to memorize this all. "Consequently, the fall of mankind will draw even nearer. We'll wager everything on this plan."

Erwin pointed out a place in the map of Stohess that was circled.

"The plan is as follows: As we pass through Stohess District, Eren will act as bait and lure the target to an underground passage. Upon bringing them to the lowest level, judging by their size and power, their movements should be fairly restricted, even if they transform. However on the off chance, they transform before that, you're the only one we can count on, Eren." Erwin said.

"Sir. So the main target is, without doubt, in Stohess District, correct?" Eren asked.

I placed my hand under my chin while I read the paper once more.

'Damn, Erwin is scary and hot at the same time, when he goes in serious mode.'

"Yes. The target is part of the Military Police Brigade." Erwin answered.

"The Military Police Brigade?" Eren asked.

"Armin and Y/N were the ones who inferred to that" Erwin answered as Eren looked at me and Armin in suprise. "According to the two, the Female Titan may be responsible for killing the two titans we've captured and is possible a member of the 104th training corps, like you.

'Although I have discussed this personally with Levi and Erwin, I didn't tell anything to Eren.' I thought.

"W-wait just a second.. the 104th.." Eren said who didn't believe the news that was given to him.

"The name of the Female suspected to be the Female Titan is...." Before Erwin could tell it, I cutted him.

"Annie Leonhart." I told him as Eren's face was filled with dismayed and disbelief.

Flashback over..

We had successfully avoided Annie before she transformed. Mikasa and Me stood up as I saw Annie or the now Female titan.

"Sh-shoot." Armin said as Annie's hand punched just meters away from us being smashed.
