Things in the Forman household had been tense ever since Red decided to have even more of a no nonsense attitude.
Kitty was making brownies, Laurie was reading the paper, and Lucy and Hyde were stirring brownie batter. Everyone was inside because of the curfew Red had enforced.
At curfew, Red went to drag Eric out of the Cruiser—that they all lost privileges to, and brought him inside. "Jeez I wish I had a quarter for everytime I caught you making out with that neighbor girl!" Red exclaimed.
Lucy nodded, taking a sip of soda, "If I had a quarter for everytime I caught them doing more than making out, then I could afford the therapy I need," she mumbled, eliciting a snicker from Hyde.
"I wish I had a quarter for everytime you embarrass me," Eric retorted.
Red turned around, "I wish you did too. 'Cause then you'd be a millionaire and you could find someplace else to live."
"What?" Eric looked around, "And leave all this?"
Kitty picked up a plate, "Okay, fellas. Who wants brownies and a nice glass of milk?" Lucy's hand shot up.
"Oh geez," Red sighed, sitting down at the table.
"Daddy, I think it's great you gave Eric and Hyde a curfew. These boys, they need structure," Laurie nodded, "Well, I'll see you!" she said, standing up.
"Where do you think you're going?" Kitty asked.
Laurie furrowed her eyebrows, "To—night church?"
"Good one," Lucy said sarcastically.
"Sorry honey, curfew's for everyone," Red explained.
"But Daddy! It's me!" Laurie objected.
"Look, what they did is bad, but you sneaking around with Kelso is just unpleasant," Red said.
Lucy spun in her seat, "Wait, why am I here?"
"My little girl can't be out alone by herself," Red explained.
"Yeah, who knows what would happen to little Lucy!" Hyde teased, Lucy sneered in response, stealing his spoon.
"But Daddy, I'm not seeing Kelso," Laurie pouted.
"Untrue!" Hyde yelled. "A damnable lie!" Eric pointed. "That's rich!" Lucy laughed, the three doing so all at once, as if cued by Laurie's bullshit.
Laurie sighed, "A curfew? I'm stuck in this house with you people all night? This sucks!"
"Well, we're just thrilled about it!" Kitty said sarcastically.
Eric leaned against the counter, "Alright, there's an upside to this, I took her down with me!"
"Nice job," Hyde said, getting up.
"You took me down too you dillhole!" Lucy reminded her twin, jumping down from the stool, and Hyde wrapped his arm around her waist.
❁
The next day, everyone sat in the basement.
Hyde sat in his regular seat, thinking Stop looking at me! Stop looking at me! Stop looking at me!
Jackie sat on the edge of the couch, looking at him, Please look at me. Hey! Psst! I love you Steven. I have secret love powers! Look at me!
I swear to God, if I turn around and Jackie is still looking at Steven, I'm gonna scream, Lucy thought as she sat in front of Hyde on the floor, turning around to look at Jackie, who was still looking at Hyde. Take a deep breath Lucetta, it's okay—Ahhhh! Wait, why do I care? She thought, furrowing her eyebrows.
Donna sat squished between Jackie and Eric, Huh, I have 29 teeth. That can't be right. 1,2,3...

Jackie and Lucy are in love with Hyde and I have nothing. Oh look I found an M&M, Fez thought as he sat on the floor, Oh no, he grimaced, realizing it wasn't an M&M.
My life sucks, Eric thought, Okay, I really hope no one smelled that.
Alright! I'm the best looking person in this room. No! In this whole town! No! No! In this whole state! No! Kelso grinned, sitting on the arm of the couch.
Dumbasses, Red thought simply, sitting in a chair, watching them.
"So how's it going?" Kitty asked, coming in the basement, dressed in her nurse's uniform.
"Real good," Red said stoically, "The foreign kid just ate something off the floor."
"Daddy his name is—" Lucy started to defend her friend.
"Don't care!" Red held his hand up.
Kitty shifted nervously, "Okay, well um, your father's going to drive me to work—"
"That's right," Red said, standing up, "And if you do anything wrong, I'll know, because one of you is a snitch. You just think about that while I'm gone."
"Well, they're not going to do anything wrong, because I brought a box of activities to occupy their time," Kitty laughed, "So, um, be good and have fun! Do crafts! Not drugs!"
"Make love not war?" Lucy said, smiling.
"That's the spirit!" Kitty said, about to walk out the door, "Wait, no!"
"Mom! I'm kidding, it's a joke!" Lucy nodded.
"Right," Kitty sighed, walking out.
Red was about to shut the door when Fez took something out of the craft box, "Oh! Model airplane and glue!"
Red opened the door and snatched the glue from Fez.
❁
The Forman children and Hyde sat on the living room couch, all bored to the point of exhaustion, Lucy even leaning on Hyde's shoulder.
Kitty brought in crumb cake to lighten the mood, "What are you doing?" she asked, looking at Red by the door.
"Oh just a little security measure," he responded, hanging Christmas bells on the door, "in case anybody tries to escape."
Kitty sighed, "Red, no! Those are my Christmas bells! Those are happy bells!"
Red smiled, "Well then they're doing their job because I'm happy! Let's have some cake!"
"Okay," Kitty said, sitting down, "And let's watch some tv because that makes us all happy!" She began flipping though the TV guide, "Okay, here we go The Brady Bunch Variety Hour is on!"
"Oh, who the hell gave those people an entire hour?" Red complained.
"Okay, see? Now this is nice! A nice family who gets along and sings and dances!" Kitty explained.
"What a bunch of freaks," Lucy mumbled.
Eric nodded, "Yeah I love the Brady's. Hey remember that episode where Mr. Brady went completely insane and put bells on all the doors?"
The three of them stifled their laughter while Red looked at them, "Hey, did you see the one where Greg was a real wise ass and Mr. Brady took him outside and cleaned his clock?"
"Yeah, it was right after the one when Marsha wanted to kill Greg for being an idiot!" Lucy nodded.
"Did you ever see the one where I hated living here?" Laurie asked, getting up and storming off.
"Which one?" Lucy asked.

Hyde smiled, "I don't know, but they're all my favorite."
"Well I hope you're happy because now you've upset your sister!" Red pointed out.
Eric looked to Lucy and pointed to himself confused, "Oh, you know what? Forget it, Dad. Enjoy yourself. Get your shots in now because when I'm gone, oh I'm gonna be long gone!" he yelled, getting up and storming off.
"I got no place to go—" Hyde started.
"I'm going upstairs to read," Lucy interrupted, standing up.
"I got to go," Hyde said, jumping up to follow the girl.
❁
Lucy sat on her bed, reading a book her English teacher assigned while Steven napped, his head resting in her lap while she played with his curls.
"Bed check!" Donna hissed, bursting in her room, stopping short at the sight, "Oh, I thought you guys would be making out like Laurie and Kelso or something."
"Huh?" Hyde said, waking up slowly.
"Donna! Shut up!" Lucy hissed, gesturing for her to hide in the closet, pushing Hyde off of her slightly so he'd lay on the pillow beside her instead.
"Lucy!" Red called, just as Donna shut the closet door.
Lucy smiled, "Hi Daddy!"
"See Red, she's just reading, now come on you'll wake up Steven," Kitty ushered her husband out of the room.
Red called into the room before Kitty shut the door, "You make sure that boy is out of your room before you go to bed!"
"Okay Daddy!" Lucy smiled as her mother shut the door, rolling her eyes. "Donna you can come out now," Lucy whispered.
"Thank God, your stuffed animals were staring at me," Donna shuddered, opening the door. She sat on the blonde's bed, looking towards the sleeping Hyde, "What—"
"He fell asleep," Lucy explained.
"I can see that," Donna nodded, laughing a bit. "Why in here?"
Lucy shrugged, reading her book, "Ask him when he wakes up," she said, poking the boy's forehead, as he slept unflinching.
"Oh I think I know why he wanted to," Donna smirked.
"Oh you can't taunt me, you slept with the boy who was in the womb with me!" Lucy teased.
"We got to get out of here!" Eric sighed, coming in Lucy's room.
"Hi womb mate!" Lucy smiled.
Eric nodded, "Hey womb mate. No, we need to get out of here."
"Agreed," Laurie said, dragging Kelso in the room.
"Hey, what's going on? Oh Steven!" Jackie said, walking in with Fez.
"What are you two doing here?" Lucy asked, confused.
"We've been waiting in the basement," Fez explained.
"Steven wake up," Lucy poked the boy.
Hyde sat up, "What's happening?" wrapping his arms around Lucy's waist and his head resting on her shoulder.
"We're breaking out!" Eric said excitedly.
"I'm coming but only because I want to see how poorly this backfires," Lucy shrugged.
Eric went to open up the window, "Okay, were gonna get outside, push the Cruiser out of the driveway, start it up, and get out of here. No turning back now."
"Eric, you're not in Star Trek, this isn't some mission," Lucy sighed.
"Fine!" Eric yelled, insulted, stepping out the window and onto the roof.
One by one they filed out after Eric, until Lucy was the last one.
"Alright I got you," Hyde said as Lucy was on one of the last branches.
"Get your hand off my ass," Lucy said through gritted teeth.
Hyde took his hand off, smirking while Lucy jumped down.
Everyone ran to help push the Cruiser while Eric got in the seat to steer. They saw Red and Kitty sitting in the kitchen, Red's back to them, Kitty walked to the door, sliding it open.
"Oh hell's bells!" Red exclaimed.
Lucy immediately dropped to the ground, hiding behind the back tire.
"Lucy we saw you dear," Kitty sighed.
"What? Oh I know, I just dropped my earring!" Lucy lied, being pulled to Hyde's side.
Kelso yelled, "It's Red! Run for it!" he sprinted out through the garage towards his house.
"Daddy! Thank God you came they were kidnapping me!" Laurie lied.
Red yelled, "Oh shut up! That's it! I've had it, you know what this means? More discipline!"
"No, no," Kitty started.
"Oh yes! Playtime is over!" Red interrupted.
"Oh stop saying that!" Kitty said exasperated, "You're cracking down is not working."
"Hell, I could've told him that a week ago," Eric whispered.
"Hey! Idiot! Not helping!" Lucy hissed.
"Now is not the time to be a porky mouth," Kitty said calmly. "Honey I want my house back," she explained to Red.
"I once had an ant farm—" Fez stepped forward.
"Oh, honey, no. Not now," Kitty pushed him back. "Okay, here's what we're gonna do. You are going to remember that he's a good son," she turned to Eric, "and you're going to remember that he's a good father because I am not happy with the way this house is running."
"Ah! See what you've done! You've made your mother unhappy," Red scolded the kids.
"No they didn't! I'm not happy with everything! I'm not happy with windows being nailed shut, and I'm not happy with people sneaking around, and I'm not happy that Lucy doesn't want to spend another second in this house, and I'm not happy with my Christmas bells on the front door!" Kitty yelled.
Red sighed, "Well Kitty what do you want me to do? Pretend that nothing happened?"
"Yes," Kitty said.
"No!" Red said confused.
"Damn," Lucy whispered.
"Fine! Then I'm staying home! I'm staying home full time and I'm taking back my house and that's the way is is. Now you get upstairs and take those nails out of the window and Eric stop being such a sneaky smart mouth and Lucy stop helping him. You, honey you have to stop eating stuff off the floor," Kitty said to Fez. "Now everyone, let's go back to happy!"
Red looked around at the kids and sighed.
"So I guess playtime is over," Eric quipped.
"It's like you want to be murdered!" Lucy yelled.
"I'm sorry," Eric said sheepishly, walking inside.
"Okay, well then goodnight!" Lucy said awkwardly.
"Yeah, let's go doll," Hyde yawned.
"Oh no!" Red scolded.
"Right!" Hyde said, taking his arm away from Lucy's shoulder, holding his hands in surrender, "Not like that."
"That's right, now get your asses to bed!" Red demanded.
The rest of the teens quickly darted home away from the crazy of the Forman household.
