i finally have the strength the stand up

i walked to the mirror

i saw something i didn't want to see

myself

my hair was messy

my eyes were red and puffy

and i could see the scars

long ago and recent

i wanted to break the mirror

but in the end i decided not to

it would've created a big mess

and after all this happened

the one thing i could think about
