"Harry get your ass up!" I said shaking him awake.
"Why?" he mumbled into his pillow.
"It's Thanksgiving you ass face."
Harry then sat up looking like death.
"You look terrible."
"Your sisters kept me up all night."
"They were playing cards." I shrugged. "I'm use to it."
"Well I'm not."
"It's been three days. You should grow use to it."
Harry frowned but luckily got up.
He then went to take a shower and get ready, so I got dressed and headed down stairs.
"Don't eat anything but a small snack." Mom warned when she saw me go into the fridge. "I don't want you stuffed before dinner."
"I know mom." I nodded. "I wouldn't want to miss your dinner you made for us. It's always a fantastic meal."
"Ass kisser." Lottie laughed as she walked by the kitchen.
Mom rolled her eyes and didn't call her out on the language.
"So where's Harry?" she then asked me.
"Taking a shower."
She nodded but I knew she wanted to say something else.
"What is it mom?"
"Nothing." she said shaking her head.
"No." I laughed. "I see the look you have on your face. You want to say something. What?"
"Do you have feelings for Harry still? Are you guys a couple?"
"No." I said shaking my head.
"To witch part?"
"To the couple. But yeah I still have some feelings left for him. I mean he's a jerk... a real jerk at that. But he does make me laugh and smile a lot. I don't think I'll ever stop liking him."
"Why aren't you guys together together?"
"Because he's straight."
She looked at me with a funny look.

"Are you sure?" she then asked.
"Well when he's drunk he makes out with boys."
I didn't feel it was right to mention him only fucking boys when he's on drugs. I thought I should tell a softer version of it to my mother.
"You know-" mom started. "People tell the truth when they are drunk."
"I don't know mom." I said shaking my head.
Just then Harry walked in dressed with wet combed back hair.
He looked so good.
"Harry, you're up?" mom smiled.
"Yup... Good morning Ms. Johannah."
"Morning." mom nodded. "Well I have a job for you and Louis."
"You do?" I asked.
"Yes." she nodded. "I want you guys to go ahead and set the table... table cloth and all."
"You got it ma." I said and then led Harry up to the attic.
We got all of the decorations down and then headed to our big dinning room that we only use on special occasions.
We then took about an hour to completely do the dining room just right.
I wanted it to be spectacular.
Mom then let us take a break... so I went to my room to watch ballet YouTube videos... and Harry sat with my family and watched the football game.
Typical us.
Around 2:00, everything was ready and we all sat down to eat together.
It was one of the best meals I've ever had with my family.
We laughed, we talked, we shed a few tears, we told stories, we fought a little. It was like being back home when I was in high school.
Being away from home actually kind of sucks. Even though I have my friends and ballet everyday... nothing compares to being home with my amazing family that I love so very much... and being with Harry. That's a nice bonus.

After we were done, Lottie, Fiz, and I helped mom clean up.
After that I searched for Harry so we could hang a little but he wasn't anywhere to be found.
"Where's Harry?" I asked my little sister Phoebe.
"He left."
"Where to?"
"He didn't say." she shrugged.
I then texted him and got nothing... called him and got nothing.
What the fuck?
I was getting a little worried but I left it alone and continued to relax and enjoy family time with all of my siblings.
When 8:00 pm came and Harry still wasn't home, I was worried.
Where the hell is he?
"I think you should take my car and go look for him." mom suggested.
"You think I should?"
"Well he won't answer you, so I would if it were any one of you guys." she said pointing to my siblings and I.
"Alright. I'll go out and try to find him."
"He couldn't have gone far. There's not a lot to do in Lakeland."
I nodded, grabbed her keys, and left to go out looking for Harry.
It took me about two hours...
Around 10:15 pm I saw him stumbling around downtown.
"Harry what the fuck are you doing?" I asked driving slowly along side him.
"Drinking." he answered shortly.
"I can see that, but why?"
"Because I want to."
"Harry." I sighed. "You promised you wouldn't do this anymore."
"Well promises never seem to stay a promise do they?"
"I don't understand."
"Well no one understands. Not my parents. Not Ed. Not anyone."
When I heard Ed I felt my heart ache.
Poor Harry and his friend. They must have been so close if it's still affecting him like this.
"Harry I promise that I'll keep mine to you. I promise I'll help you get through this. Now why are you drinking? You were having such a good time today?"
"No I wasn't." he said shaking his head and then he started coughing.
"Why not?"
"How can someone be happy on thanksgiving when they aren't with their own family Louis!"
I didn't say anything.
"I wanted to spend it with my mom and step dad and Mike and Gemma. But no. They don't want me anymore."
"They do too want you."
"No they don't!" he yelled. "No one wants me!"
"Harry, I want you." I said shocked because I've never seen him like this before.
"No you don't!" he shouted with tears now coming as he swung his arms everywhere. "No one wants me! No ones wants me after Ed died! I'm just a fucked up street rat with nothing to live for anymore!"
With that he dropped to his knees and cried into his hands.
I quickly got out of my car and got out to hug him.
"It's okay Harry." I whispered. "It will all be okay."

8 132Unwitting Champion
"In stories this is always easy. There's magic and powers, and quick steps to claiming that power for one's self. This doesn't feel true for me. I'm supposed to be a Champion, whatever that means, and yet I don't feel important. I don't have all the bells and whistles, which honestly feels familiar even in a new world. But what was I expecting? I haven't had the worst life - there are people with worse problems than mine - I've known what it is to struggle, to be pulled down instead of being helped up.This is nothing new."When in great peril, the Kingdom of Althor has no choice but to send a call into the void, beseeching the Fates to bring them a man who would save them from the coming darkness. Unfortunately the path the Fates chart is often unknowable to men and the Champion who appears is not what the kingdom expected.Unwitting Champion is a story of a guy displaced, dealing first and foremost with trying to survive in a world where he is no longer a person but a tool, and - at least from the reaction of those around him - a shoddy one at that. His major goal is to survive long enough that either he can run or find a way home, because as exciting as the possibility of learning magic might be, he would rather have a boring life than a short life.
