《Ballerina Boy》2

"Good morning Lou bear." my mom spoke as I walked into the kitchen on Wednesday morning.
"Morning mom." I said in my raspy morning voice.
"You ready for some breakfast?" she asked and started putting bacon and eggs on a plate for me.
"I guess so." I said once she set the plate down in front of me at the kitchen island were I was seated.
I then took a bite of the bacon.
"Good?" mom asked as Lottie came into the kitchen.
"Yeah." I said nodding once I swallowed.
"What's for breakfast?" Lottie asked.
"Bacon and eggs I smell?" Daisy then said coming into the kitchen with her twin Phoebe and her big sister Fiz trailing behind her.
"You're right." mom smiled at them. "Bacon and eggs Lots." mom then said to Lottie.
"Oh okay, cool." Lottie said and then started eating some of the eggs mom set down in front of her.
"So you guys ready for your first day of school?" mom asked us.
"No." I simply said.
"Yeah, it's our freshman year." Daisy smiled.
"I'm just excited to see the Floridian boys." Lottie said and then took another piece of her bacon.
I rolled my eyes at her comment.
"Same." Fiz nodded and she took a sip of her orange juice.
"You're all boy crazy." mom said shaking her head. "Is anybody in my family into girls?"
Everyone looked around and shook their heads.
Mom just laughed at that.
I then got up and cleaned my dishes off since I was done.
"Well I'm going to get ready, I'll be down in fifteen." I said after I finished up.
"Please." mom said. "We need to leave in twenty so I can sign you guys up for your new school I found yesterday after we unpacked."
"Alright." I nodded and then walked up my spiral staircase that led to my bedroom.

Once up there I walked to my bathroom to clean the sleep off of my face.
I went into the bathroom and got a hot rag, then ran it across my face opening my pores up.
After that I started to do my hair. It's getting longer. It reaches my ears now so I got a head band and pushed my hair back after I gave my hair some curl and volume.
I looked bomb as fuck.
After that I walked to my closet and got down my white skinny jeans, my floral light pink Adidas shirt, and I got my white vans.
I put everything on and then looked at myself fully in the mirror.
I do look gay, but that's okay. I'm just being me.
I then got my floral book bag and walked downstairs ready to go.
I saw Lottie down there wearing a light purple sweater with a black skirt on. She was also wearing a black choker.
Fiz was next to her and she was wearing a tight skirt, a button up shirt, and a sweater vest.
Nerd.
The twins came down not to long after me.
Daisy had on tight blue jeans and a crop top that was black with daisies on it.
Phoebe had on a mint green pencil dress.
"Are all my high school babies ready?" mom asked walking up to all of us.
We all nodded.
Lottie grabbed Doris and mom grabbed Ernest as we all made our way out to the car.
Everyone got buckled in and then we were on the way to the day care for Ernest and Doris since they are babies and don't go to school.
My other siblings and I waited in the car as mom checked in our youngest siblings.
"God we are all in high school now." Fiz said as she looked around the car at all of us.
"I know." Phoebe said. "I can't believe I'm starting high school today."

"At least you will graduate with people you know." I said.
"Louis stop." Lottie said rolling her eyes.
"Well it's true." I argued. "Aren't you upset too? You're not graduating with your friends this year as well."
"Don't remind me okay." she said with a huff and sat back in her chair.
Daisy just stayed out of everything.
Mom then came out of the building and walked to the car as she wore her scrubs, so everyone shut up.
"Alright." mom said once she was pulling out of the drive way. "Next is the high school."
"May I ask what high school it is?" Fiz asked.
"Yeah you haven't told us squat." Lottie said.
"Well the school you are going to is Lakeland Senior High School, home of the Dreadnaughts."
"What's a dreadnaught?" Daisy asked.
"It has something to do with boats." I said.
"It is a boat." mom said. "And on your tee shirts for the school you have an anchor. Also the schools colors are black and orange."
"Oh cool." Daisy nodded.
"Well it is cool because it's the number one Volleyball school in Lakeland." mom then spoke.
"Oh really?" Phoebe spoke excitedly.
"Yup." mom nodded. "And they have good cheerleaders. Lakeland High School is pretty big on football too. Every Halloween they play Kathleen High, the red devils, out on Lakeland's huge stadium by the Lakeland hospital, so I've heard Lottie."
"Yes! I'm totally trying out for the cheer team then." Lottie spoke.
"Why's it red devils?" Daisy asked. "Aren't all devils red?"
"Well I guess there's a school in a city that's right next to Lakeland named Winter Haven, and Winter Haven High School's mascot is the blue devil." mom answered. "I asked that question too."
"Oh." Daisy nodded.
"Well what's in it for Fiz and I?" I asked annoyed.
"You're going to shit yourselves when I tell you." mom spoke happily.
"Mom." Fizzy laughed.
"So Lakeland Senior High School has two parts. Well more like another high school inside of Lakeland High."
"What?" I asked confused.
"So besides Lakeland Senior High School, they have a special school that's built right into the school."
"And what about it?" I asked.
"The name of that high school is Lois Cowels Harrison Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, or better known as Harrison School for the Arts."
"What!" I said not realizing my voice went up a pitch.
"Yup." my mom nodded. "It's the only school in hours away that are for the performing arts. I heard Juilliard even goes there at the end of the year to look at all of Harrison's best seniors."
"Are you serious?" I asked shocked. "You're not messing with Fiz and I?"
"Nope, I'm serious." mom said. "You've got an audition this morning, and Fiz gets hers at the end of the day. You brought your writing journals right Fiz?" mom then asked.
"Of course." Fiz nodded still with a shocked expression. "I always bring them."
"Then if you guys get in, you'll be going to Harrison and everyone else will be at Lakeland. But I also heard that your core classes will be at Lakeland while your performing arts classes will take place at Harrison."
I just sat there with wide eyes.
God listened.
We eventually pulled up to Lakeland Senior/Harrison School of the Arts not to long after words.
Here goes nothing.
