So for our demo, we didn't exactly have your typical stage. As you can see above, it is a very large studio with seats for an audience. There is also a door in the far left corner that you can't see. It leads to another studio which we used as a backstage as sorts. In ballet there are two kinds of tutus, romantic (flows down) and classic. I had a classic tutu for the first time and trust me, I took good care of that tutu. Once you are in the tutu though, you are not allowed to sit down. So, by the end of the demo, I was ready to go home, sit in fount of the tv and relax. While I was waiting for my turn, I practiced my variation and chatted quietly with my ballet friends. It was rather fun. One of the things that did annoy me was that the guys went to a store and brought back a bunch of junk food, including Cheetos. Now if a girl would have brought Cheetos with her, she's get in trouble, but seeing as a guy did, they didn't get in trouble that I know of. Now, I get it and I don't find it unfair or anything actually. I'm personally against feminism. I fully understand it in the context of ballet. Ballet studios need guys and they sometimes will give them the special treatment and I am fine with it. It might seem unfair, but it's life and life is unfair, get used to it.
