So, I had contemporary class last night and we did a combination and our teacher, Mr. M had us do a hand flick that looks like you are shooting a basketball.
"The last hand flick is a nod to the (insert local basketball team here that is doing very well). For those of you who don't know, the (team) is a basketball team." Mr M said.
We laughed and it got me thinking and it is true, most dancers aren't too in with sports. However, I am extremely into sports and a corner of my room has my favorite team's gear. One of my dream jobs is even working as a journalist for my favorite team. Yet, there are a handful of dancers who don't know a lick about sports and then there are dancers who do know quite a bit and I guess there are some in between.
