When a ballet teacher is marking a combination it is all in their head and from a non-dancer perspective, it may just look sometimes like they're a mad person. In some sense, ballet teachers are a little mad, but in the best possible way. They remind me of a little kid who have had a couple of years of ballet.

The one problem with them is that when they are marking something, you can never tell what the combination is. It's like you being in Spanish one and you are listening to a couple of native Spanish speakers talk you may get every ten words and you can grasp the general concept but other than that, you are completely confused. I have to admit though, it is very amusing.
