"Detective Diaz!" A firm call came from Captain Jameson's office which startled Rosa.

"Yes sir?" She looked up from her computer quizzingly.

"I need to speak to you in my office," he replied and with that he had disappeared back into his office. Rosa clocked an eyebrow but sighed and turned off her computer. She entered her Captain's office and shut the door behind her.

"Are you alright Sir?" She asked while taking a seat and adjusted into a comfortable position.

"Yes I am doing very well thank you Rosa," he smiled. Captain Jameson had never been like Holt. He was more bubbly and lighthearted. He reminded Rosa of a more qualified Captain CJ.

"I have some news."

"Is it about the Spanish mafia? I'm needing some new leads asap!" Rosa sat back.

"In fact it is," her eyes widened. "But this isn't what you think it is. You see me the commissioner, Captain Holt and the FBI have been speaking about this for a couple of weeks now and we need you to go undercover."

"What's the catch here?"

"Do you remember when Detective Peralta went undercover in the mafia?" Rosa nodded. "Well you would be doing a similar thing. Gathering information and getting everyone in the same place so we can make a bust but you will also be trying to become their leader. If it isn't possible to get that high of a ranking in the time without being suspicious then it is okay but it would just ensure you are safe and will get all the information you need," Jameson babbled.

"Yes yes okay, what's the time length?" Rosa asked impatiently.

"Please don't freak out Diaz," she slowly nodded. "One to five years."

"FIVE YEARS!?!!?" Rosa sat up, mortified. "That's like.... FIVE YEARS!"

"Detective Diaz you do not have to take this undercover. It is dangerous and lengthy but on the other hand none of our other detectives have the skills we need and can speak Spanish. If this mission wasn't taken, there is a high possibility we will never bust them," He handed Rosa a file.

"How many main dealers are there to bust?"

"Fifteen. That's why it may take some time to get them all in one place without being exposed as a cop."

"I'll do it," Rosa agreed. She really did not want to this but she couldn't be selfish and let these people get away. "Yeah I'll do it."

"Thank you Rosa. You are really helping the NYPD here," he smiled. "You will be going by the name Pearla Ramírez. You are Spanish but can speak fluent English. We want you to be just like you are now. Tough, smart and scary as hell. Let them know who's boss."

Of course Rosa was not scary as hell, but Jameson didn't need to know that. He trusted her with this and by the sounds of it, so did Holt. Rosa trusted Holt and knew he wouldn't agree if he didn't deem her capable.

"You have 2 weeks," Jameson stood. "You will be leaving us in 2 weeks but the only people who will know you have gone are the cops in this precinct, your old precinct and any superior officers. You are not to tell any friends or family. It could jeopardise the investigation."

"I understand Sir," Rosa started to panic. She was sure to lose friends and get kicked out of the ballet studio. That didn't matter, it was for her job. She had to do this.

"Thank you Rosa. I don't think you will be able to focus much for the rest of the day so I'm formally asking you to go home and relax. Try and stay calm you are going to do amazing!" He held his thumbs up and she smiled.

"Thank you Captain," Rosa chirped, exiting the office. She head to her desk and packed away her stuff.

"Where are you going trouble?" Rosa looked up. It was Detective Evans, Coral. The blonde woman sat herself on the edge of Rosa's desk and swung her legs.

"Oh hey Coco! Captain has sent me home for the rest of the day," Rosa pulled out her helmet from under the desk and slung her bag over shoulder.

"You lucky thing! I just wanted to check you are okay as I just got an email about an emergency meeting we are having in 10 minutes. Subject Detective Rosa Diaz," Coral said the last part in a funny robot voice. A smile tugged at Rosa's lips.

"I'm fine don't worry. I'll talk to you tomorrow about it, I promise."

"Mkay," Coral jumped down. "Bye Rosa," waved and skipped back her desk. Coral reminded Rosa an awful lot of Amy and that made her feel somewhat at home.

"Bye Co," Rosa called from the elevator and pressed the ground floor button. This was going to be a long night.
