Amy looked up from her desk as Charles approached her.

"Morning Charles, how may I help you?" She asked greeting him with a warm smile.

"I think we both know why I'm here Amy," he said sitting in the perp chair next to the woman's desk. "I couldn't sleep last night. I didn't want to text her because I thought it would be awkward but WHAT?!"

"Look Charles, Rosa isn't who we thought she was. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it but however she decides to come to the precinct today I think she would most appreciate it if she's not bombarded with questions first thing on a Monday morning. Especially with the fact it's her first day back here in like 9 months or something!"

"11 actually. But yes I get what you mean. I'm just very confused," he sighed. "Like I'm sure you know a whole lot more than me because I've only seen her Instagram page. She told me awhile back that she used Instagram to promote her handmade jewellery and her brunch friends suggested it to her and that immediately set alarms off in my head that something wasn't what it seemed."

"It's her choice weather she tells you what I know. It's not my place to say," Amy replied. "All I will tell you is she's one of the biggest softies I've ever met!"

"Now that's what blows my mind! Normally her voice legitimacy fits her so well but I find it so weird looking at those pictures knowing what she sounds like. It's kind of funny," Charles laughed under his breath, leaning back in the chair.

"Well it would be funny if that's what she sounded like... but it's not," Amy smirked.

"No! I don't believe you," Charles gasped sitting back up.

"Remember when she chugged that cold medicine and went insane?" He nodded. "That's more like how she speaks. It's higher and softer. My mind was boggled!"

"My tiny head can't process all this whattttt!!" They both laughed before Jake wandered over and set his bags down at his desk. Late, again.

"What're you two laughing about?"

"Charles' tiny head about to explode," Amy continued to laugh at Boyle's expression.

"Oh no! What did you tell him?" Jake asked genuinely concerned.

"We were talking about Rosa. You know what I told you last night?" Amy said turning to his husband.

"The voice thing?" He asked sitting on the edge of his desk.

"Yes! How? What? I'm literally going to pass out!" Charles said. Jake started laughing. Bless him he was so confused. As the three continued to laugh the elevator pinged and out walked a familiar face.

"Rosa! Hey girl," Charles stood and rushed over to her. He stood stopped in his tracks to take in the sight before him. She was wearing a light green pant suit over a white tank top. The gold chain draped around her neck matched her watch perfectly. His eyes moved upwards and were met with softer expression than he was used to. Her eyes more welcoming, her eyebrows more relaxed and most importantly a smile plastered on. Rosa's hair was plaited loosely in two pigtails with stray curls left out. The last thing he noticed was the glasses. The frame of the glasses were clear, they brought the look together. "God you look amazing!"

"Aw thanks Charles. It's lovely to see you by the way," She smiled and held her arms out for a hug. He stared for a minute after hearing the voice. His mind was going to explode. He could feel it. He snapped back to reality and hugged the woman.

"Sorry. Little bit star struck over here," he laughed as they pulled away.

"It's fine. I get it, Ames was the same last night," she laughed, brushing a piece of hair out of her eyes.

"Charles are you okay? Who thi-" Terry said sitting at his desk after being in the breakdown. He stopped his sentence when Rosa turned around to face him. The lieutenant's eyes widened and he was silenced.

"Hey lieut!" Rosa waved.

"I- wh- wai- what?!" He said, language garbled.

" I should probably explain. Does everyone have a minute to speak in the briefing room?" They all nodded and Amy rushed off to tell the Captain about the meeting.

As they all filed into the briefing, Rosa looked around. No sign of Gina anywhere. Charles spotted her looking around.

"She's in babylon," he whispered in the taller woman's ear.

"What?"

"Gina. She goes in there every morning, doesn't come out until about lunch time."

"Why?" Rosa looked down the bullpen at the stairs.

"Haven't a clue," Charles replied. He went into the briefing room pulling Rosa with him. She shut the door and turned to the squad who were sitting down and getting comfortable.

"Ok first. Hey guys, I've missed you all so much!"

"We missed you too Detective," Holt replied flatly.

"Okay so now I should probably explain. So this all started when I was about 17 and I came up with a plan to piss my parents off..."

//

About 30 minutes of explanation and questions later and the briefing was over. The squad still didn't quite get it but that's because details were left out. Details only one person knew out. A certain red head who was no where to be seen.

"I'm proud of you," Terry said as he left the briefing room.

"Thanks Terry," Rosa smiled.

"Yep I'm never gonna get used to that!" He said pointing at her smile. They both laughed and exited the room.

"Hey Rosa can I talk to you?" Jake tapped her shoulder.

"I'd rather not Jake," Rosa said turning to face him. She really wasn't ready to talk to him yet and especially on her visit to the precinct. "I need to go do what I came here for and not chit chat."

"Wow you may be a softie but you are still the same person work wise," Jake laughed awkwardly before walking off to his desk. Rosa sighed and went off to find Boyle.
