⚠️TW: PTSD/ panic attacks⚠️

Olivia had left her purse at Rosa's so she decided to go back while she still had time. When she walked back up to the door, the lights were all off. She had been gone 10 minutes and Rosa was already asleep? *Lazy bones* She thought, pulling out the key to her bestfriend's house. When Olivia unlocked the door she called out.

"Rosa it's just me, I forgot my purse," no reply. She flicked the light on and her jaw fell open. There was glass all over the floor, the sofa pillows were everywhere.

"ROSA?!" Liv shouted.

"SAL! (get out)," She heard Rosa's voice shout from round the corner. Olivia hurried down the hall and looked round the bend in the wall. A shaking Rosa was curled up in the corner of the room.

"Rosa are you ok, what happened?" She reached out to grab her arm but Rosa hit her hand away.

"No te acerques a mi! ( don't come near me )," Rosa started shaking harder. This was an attack. Gina promised she would be here if this ever happened again. The shaking, the Spanish shouting, the anger, it was all too much to handle on her own.

"Ro you know I don't speak Spanish, what's going on?" Olivia was getting worried.

"Ppp-ptsddd-d atttttack," Rosa shook and stuttered.

"Omg Rosa I'm so sorry, is there anyone who knows what to do?" That question triggered a part of Rosa's anger. Thinking about Gina. Rosa got up and punched the wall.

"NO ROSA STOP!"

"SOLO DEJA LIV (just leave liv)," She shouted back.

"Rosa you need to calm down! Listen to me... who knows how to handle this?"

"GINA, GINA SABE CÓMO," Rosa put both hands in her curly mop and grabbed fists full.

Olivia didn't understand Spanish but she knew that Gina's name popped up. She ran to the living room and grabbed Rosa's phone. She saw that there was one bar of signal and took the chance.

"Siri call Gina," She said hurriedly. The phone began to ring and after about 40 seconds Gina answered.

"Rosa?" A tired voice came from the other end of the phone.

"No this is Rosa's friend, Olivia. Hi Gina I'm so sorry to bother you so late on," Liv started.

"Is everything ok?"

"No. I was having drinks with Rosa earlier and when I left I realised I left my purse so I went back. When I came back in all the light were off and I couldn't see her. I switched the lights on and found the house in a mess and Rosa in a corner shaking like a leaf. She's shouting Spanish and punching the walls!" Olivia explained.

"Oh god, I'll be there asap," Gina sounded extremely worried.

"Thank you Gina."

About half an hour later there was a knock at the door. Liv went and let Gina in.

"Where is she?" Gina threw her keys on the counter.

"The back room," Olivia said and Gina ran off. She followed behind.

When Gina turned into the back room shes saw Rosa punching the walls again.

"ROSA NO!" Gina shouted. The curly haired woman turned to look at her. Her eyes were terrified. Rosa groaned and turned back to the wall.

"SAL DE MI CASA (get out of my house)!" Rosa screamed.

"No, me quedo hasta que te calmes (No, I'm staying until you calm down)," Gina said in a more soothing voice.

"You know Spanish?" Liv asked.

"Yes I learnt it for these situations," Gina nodded.

"Impressive."

"no te preocupas por mi! (No you don't care about me)" Rosa slowed down the punches and started crying.

"Of course I care about you!" Gina shot back.

"si te importara no te habrías ido entonces (if you cared you wouldn't have left then)!"

"Well I'm here now," Gina eased nearer and grabbed Rosa's arm. She stopped punching and turned her head.

Gina answering Rosa in English was helping Olivia follow what was happening.

"I will always care about you. No matter who I'm with. Ever since the day it all ended I've felt like a part of me is missing. Rosa I know you. I know you don't want to be here punching the wall. You want to be upstairs sleeping," Gina moved her hand to find Rosa's, she held it tight. "Come on let's go to bed and we can talk in the morning." Rosa whimpered and nodded.

"You can go now Olivia, thank you for calling me," Gina turned around to look at the woman stood in the door way.

"Are you sure. Ro are you ok with that?" Olivia looked at her friend. She had gone pale and her eye bags were incredibly noticeable. Gina turned to look at Rosa. She had obviously told Olivia about Gina and Rosa so Olivia wasn't quick to leave them alone together.

"Y-y-yes," Rosa nodded weakly. Gina stroked Rosa's hair and cheek.

Olivia grabbed Gina's arm and pulled her away from Rosa for a minute.

"You help her tonight and then you back the fork off, understand?" She whispered in Gina's ear.

"You can't tell me what to do," Gina snapped.

"No but if you were smart you would listen to me. You have completely broken her and what's best for her is that you stay away and mind your own business."

"She's my friend Olivia," Gina stared at her.

"Was, she was your friend. I'm her best friend and I'm not letting her get hurt anymore than she already has, you hear me?" Gina nodded and Olivia let go. She turned around and strutted down the hallway and out of the house.

Gina turned back to Rosa and grabbed her hand.

"She's like scary Rosa wow-" Gina chuckled leading Rosa up-to the bathroom.

"Wow you really did you knuckles in, didn't you?!" Rosa laughed and nodded. She had no effort to kick Gina out so instead she just let her help her get undressed and ready for bed.

"Lift up," Gina said and Rosa lifted her arms up allowing Gina to pull her top off.

"Are these ones okay?" Gina asked holding up a pair of Rosa's pyjamas.

"Mhm," Rosa nodded and un did her bra. Her cheeks went pick when she remembered that her and Gina didn't live together anymore. She had a boyfriend. Gina obviously spotted this and laughed.

"Nothing I haven't seen before," Gina sat back down in front of the other woman and slid her arms into the pj top. Gina sat and buttoned Rosa's top for her. When she was done she looked up she made awkward eye contact with Rosa and then got up to get the pants.

"Can you do this or do you want me to?" Gina asked holding the shorts up.

"I'll do it," Rosa mumbled. Gina turned around until she heard Rosa slide into to bed.

"I'll be on the sofa," Gina looked at Rosa and headed for the door.

"No you won't," Rosa lifted up the covers as if to tell Gina to get in.

"You sure?"

"I wouldn't be offering if I wasn't," Gina laughed at her and climbed in next to the other woman. It felt wrong.

"You shouldn't be here, I'm going to really regret this tomorrow," Rosa buried her head in her hands.

"Yes but I promised that I would be there if anything like this ever happened, so that's what I'll do," Gina reached out for Rosa's hand. Rosa shook her head and Gina respected that.

"Good night Gina," Rosa said wiping a tear and lying down.

"Night Rosa," Gina lay down facing the opposite direction.

About 3:37am Gina felt her arm being lifted up. Suddenly, Rosa was curled up into her just like the old times.

"You okay?" Gina whispered, eyes still closed.

"Yes I just need sleep, like really need sleep," Rosa buried into Gina.

"Ok that's fine," Gina knew what to do. She stroked Rosa's hair until the woman's breathing steadied and she was asleep. Gina matched her pace of breathing with Rosa and within minutes, was flat out.
