It was the first official night that Gina was staying at her new house (Rosa's place). She felt nervous, really nervous. Gina had stayed at the precinct late just so that she could avoid going home. What if she was making a mistake with what Jake was asking of her? Should she just quit? But her job... her mind was clouded with thoughts and she couldn't clear it. When Gina pulled up the drive her heart beat quickened. Rosa was strong, she'd get over it. Right?

She opened the car door, grabbed her keys and bag and headed to the front door. All the lights were off and from the looks of it Arlo wasn't sat on the sofa like he always is. What was going on? She unlocked the door. Gina fumbled around and finally found the light switch, she flicked it on and put her bag down on the counter. Where the hell were Rosa and Arlo at? She kicked her boots off and searched the ground floor, nothing. When she got to the top of the stairs, Gina spotted the soft glow of Rosa's bedroom light peeking through the crack in the door. She padded down the corridor and pushed the door open. Even though she was faking everything the feeling she got when she opened the door and the sight of Rosa sat up in bed, glasses on, hair in a messy bun, reading a book with Arlo curled up on the rug was revealed, her heart melted and it felt so real. Rosa looked up and over to the door. She look so sweet and innocent. Her eyes were sparkly and there were little stray short curls that fell onto her forehead. It made Gina feel safe.

"Hey," Rosa almost whispered and moved a curl that was tickling her head.

"You look very comfortable," Gina smiled and walked over to the wardrobe. All Gina's stuff was still in boxes downstairs and they could stay like that until tomorrow. For now, Rosa's clothes will have to do. Rosa looked back down at her book as Gina started to get changed. She took her jeans and top off and then started looking for something to wear. She chose Rosa's pink Malibu hoodie and slid it on. When she turned round Rosa quickly looked down at her book, she totally wasn't watching Gina get changed...

"What you reading?" Gina asked crawling across the bed and planting herself next to Rosa.

"It's called 'Everything everything '," Rosa said showing Gina the cover. It was white and the bottom half was covered in wildlife.

"I fancy a bedtime story, read it out loud," Gina said.

"Nooooo I'm shy!" Rosa whined. Gina shuffled and sat in Rosa's lap. She grabbed the other woman's face.

"Come on its only me, you know you want to," Gina smiled doing a weird little wiggle.

"But-" Rosa started and was cut of when Gina kissed her again. The second time. Rosa felt bad because she was just doing this for a stupid dare but little did she know Gina was just messing with her mind completely.

"How about now?" Gina teased after pulling away.

"Ok, but only because it's you," Rosa gave in and Gina got off Rosa and got under the bed covers with Rosa. She lay down and lay her head on Rosa's legs. Rosa started to read. Her voice flowed through the words so soothingly. There was nothing about this woman that Gina didn't care about. But she needed her job, like really needed her job. This was going to be hard but Gina didn't care what happened. As she has said before, Rosa would get over it. Gina immediately stopped overthinking when she felt a hand tangle in her hair. Rosa was just fluently reading while unconsciously playing with Gina's hair. Her freshly done nails felt really good on Gina's scalp. Gina relaxed and closed her eyes. The combination of Rosa's voice speaking softly and her hair being stroked and twisted was enough to send her straight to sleep.

After awhile Rosa noticed Gina had fallen asleep and closed the book. It was late and she should probably get some sleep as well. Rosa lay down in the corner of the bed and curled up. She tried to sleep but all she could think about what Jake, Gina, and this stupid dare. She didn't want to do it. Rosa was falling in love with Gina and there was nothing she could do about it. A tear ran down her cheek and she sniffled. Unfortunately for Rosa, Gina was an extremely light sleeper. She heard that Rosa was crying and moved. She rolled onto the her other side so she was facing Rosa, although her back was to her. Gina didn't say anything, but instead reached out and grabbed Rosa's hand. She held it tight and felt Rosa squeeze back. She took that as a thank you sign.
