Gina Linetti loves to dance. It has always a dream of hers to be up on stage dancing for thousands of people, the rush of excitement and power you feel on stage was a feeling Gina longed for. The only paid performance she had gotten was from captain holt. Yes it was nice of him and all to pay her to perform but she craved bigger and better things and she knew just where to start...

"What are you up to tonight Gina?" Jake asked her while passing by leaving Holts office.

"I'm going to the theatre to see a ballet show! I feel like the only way to jump start my career is to go to shows of different styles. Take notes, see what the audience likes most, watch the dancers carefully to perfect every move."

"Okay right, I was expecting a Twitter war with Beyoncé, but some how you are doing something responsible but also extremely creepy, have fun" Jake smiled nervously while walking back to his desk.

"I would never fight with Beyoncé, NEVER are you mentally insane JAKE PERALTA, didn't think so." Gina stood up and yelled and everyone went silent. "I know you are all obsessed with me and like to look at me instead of doing your work but I find it creepy when you do it all at once, so stop get back to work." She said, weirded out by the vibe in the room.

Finally finding her seat, after searching up and down rows, Gina sat herself down and opened her phone to tweet about where she was. To her great disappointment there was no bars on her phone and next to where they should be read the dreaded words ...

'No service.'

"You have got be kidding, ugh!" She exclaimed locking her phone and looking up at the stage. It was magnificent. Ever detail of it made Gina feel all tingly inside. She could only imagine to feeling of dancing up there.

About 10 minutes passed when the lights dimmed for the show. Gina's upset about not being able to see the stage was short lived as it suddenly lit up. Vines creeping up the walls had little lights wound in which made it look like she was watching a fairytale unfold. Just like magic two spotlights shone onto the stage and illuminated two figures lay on the floor. They slowly rose to their feet and begun to dance. Every move as elegant as the last. It left Gina breathless, it was just beautiful. Like nothing she had ever seen before. The extensions on their arms and legs were impeccable. They were sharp with posture and so in time. This was hundreds times better than any Twitter war!

The last dance was about to start and Gina was

excited. This was what she had been waiting for. It was a solo, to be performed by the lead dancer of the studio. She had oddly not been on stage tonight yet which made this dance all the more special.

The lights dimmed once again and Gina sat up excitedly. When the spot light shone this time it became all the more real. The music started to play gently and the woman began to dance. Although this was a dancer from the same studio, it couldn't have felt more different. She moved her body like it was water. Gliding across the stage, the light chasing her at all times. It was about half way through the performance that Gina noticed something. She awoke into reality. She had thought the dancer looked quite familiar but she couldn't quite place it. Until she saw the tattoo that is. The tattoo of a rose on her back where the plunge in her dress was. Only one person she knew had that tattoo in that exact place.

"Rosa," Gina whispered almost inaudibly. She had her hair scraped back into a tight bun and was wearing a stunning tutu, but it was definitely her. That was the leather jacket wearing, motorcycle riding badass, Rosa diaz. A tiny gasp escaped Gina's lips as she continued to watch. At this point she couldn't tear her eyes away. The way she moved so effortlessly, so perfectly. She was breathing taking. It was hard to imagine Rosa in this light but here she was. Staring right at it. The thing she never thought she would have the privilege to see. The air seemed to have been ripped out of her lungs by the end. She was left, breathless. When the lights came back on and the murmers among the audience got louder, the dancers all filed onto the stage in an orderly fashion. The behind the walked a woman who also look so very familiar. That's when it hit her. It was Miss Miriam, she remembered her from that day Terry brought her in. Rosa must have gone back to the dance academy not long after that day. One by one each dancer was called until they got to her. It was her turn.

"Rosalita Diaz," Miss Miriam said with a smile. Rosa stepped forward and Miriam passed her the microphone.

"Hello everyone! Thank you for all the support from this show. I would just like to inform you about the charity buckets that are going to be on each door. So as you are leaving, if you have loose change it would be very much appreciated if you put that in. I hope you enjoyed the show, goodnight everyone." She smiled and waved. Her voice wasn't low and raspy anymore, it was higher and softer. A tear ran down Gina's cheek. Was Rosa playing pretend at work or here? Secretly she wish it was at work.

(4weeks later)

Ever since that night Gina had looked at Rosa differently. It was hard to imagine there was a soft soul in that tough scarier shell she portrayed but Gina knew it was there. She longed to see it again.

Little did Gina know Rosa knew she was there. When she was coming in when Rosa had been going to the bathroom and Rosa had seen her go into the theatre. For the past few weeks Gina had completely tried to avoid her and she wanted to put a stop to that. She sauntered up to Gina's desk. She saw Gina's widen at her phone nervously but she didn't look up.

"Supply closet F now!" Rosa demanded in her usual scary persona. Gina didn't want to go, it was obvious but even though she knew Rosa had a soft spot she was still terrified she would hurt her.

Gina walked in front of Rosa with her head down. She was nervous, really nervous. She didn't want to look Rosa in the eye in case she told her she was there that night. She stopped out side the door a looked back. Rosa nodded at the door as if to say *go on, go in.* When they were both in there, Gina opened her mouth to speak. No words came out.

"Gina why are you still looking at the floor, look at me!" Rosa said sternly. Gina looked up and met Rosa's eyes. The big brown orbs were deep, so deep. "I need to tell you something Gin."

"Look Rosa a few weeks ago-" No Gina stop it, don't tell her. But she couldn't help it "I was at-"

"My ballet show?" Rosa interrupted her.

"Yes I was...WAIT how do you know that?!"

"I saw you go in, I was on my way to the bathroom, I didn't want to make it awkward so I just left you to it but by the time the show ended and we call came out you were already gone." Gina just stared at her blankly.

"You were so different Rosa, it kind of.. kind of scared me to be honest." Rosa laughed, there it was again. That soft voice that melted Gina's heart, there it was.

"That's what I'm worried about, you saw that."

"Yes clear as day, I only have one question though."

"Ok?" Rosa smiled.

"Are you pretending here or there?"

Rosa sighed and looked down. She looked back up, "here." Gina's draw dropped. Rosa blushed. "I don't like to explain by yes. This isn't who I am. I'm sorry."

"Babes for what?" Gina asked.

"For lying," Rosa added.

"I don't know why you are lying but frankly I don't care, as long as you are happy that's ok. So you aren't secretive?"

"Nope not at all! I'm actually quite an out going person when you get to know me, I'm extremely shy with new people though." Gina was trying to take this all in. Her voice, her personality, how much of a chatter box the damn woman was.

"So when am I going to get to know Rosa, the real one?" Gina asked smirking.

"I know! How about you come round to mine after work tonight we can talk there," Rosa smiled snd opened the door. She turned to leave when Gina grabbed her wrist.

"One slight issue, I haven't the faintest clue where you live.." Gina said confused.

"Ah yes silly me," Rosa giggled and turned to her. "Give me your phone?" Gina hesitated. "Now!" For a second it was work Rosa again, she snapped at her deeply. Gina handed it over. "Thanks," Rosa laughed and her smile returned.

"Hey that's not fair, you tricked me!"

"Now that's the up side to having a sort of alter ego," Rosa laughed typing something into Gina's notes. "Here, swing by anytime. I live alone and don't go out on Fridays." Rosa smiled and walked out. Leaving Gina stood there star struck. She looked down at her phone and her moth fell open. She lives in the middle of no where! This was going to be a long, long drive.
