I wake up enthusiastically, today's my first day of work I talked to my Aunt and Uncle and they both blessed me good luck.

I choose my brown colored Blazer with blue denim and a white top underneath, I applied a little bit of makeup I really don't want to look like an makeup plastered women on my very first day and truthfully I don't like doing makeup I like being natural, I tied my hair into a high ponytail, wearing my watch I grab my bag to leave.

Betty whistles at me "looking good man"

"You could also wear something sexier so your boss will be impressed by your curves" she wobbles her eyebrows,

"I think you are reading too much of CEO romance, I'm getting late bye love you" I give her a hug and leaves my apartment.

I reach at my office 5mins early miracle it is for me as I usually get late doesn't matter how much I try, I get into elevator pressing the last floor, I took a deep breath to calm myself down, I'm little nervous, as it I'll be the first time when I'm gonna face my boss, I really hope him to be as polite and decent man as Erik.

The door opens, I step out of it and founds a very pretty looking girl standing, she have an beautiful and sweet round face with a small nose, pouty lips and hazel eyes, after seeing me her eyes widened a bit or maybe it just seemed to me, she gave me a smile.

"Hello you must be Keira" She shakes hand with me,

"I'm Mary Christie nice to meet you, Erik told me you'll be joining today so I'm here to tell you about everything" She says with a smile.

"Great" I answer her, She asks me to follow her, She opens a door,

I step inside it was very pretty, spacious with a desk in middle having my chair, a window behind it which was filling the room with light, there were two big shelves for files, I was feeling very excited as well as happy after seeing my room, It was better then I expected.

"It's just perfect" the words came out of my mouth, then I noticed the room was having another door "What about that door? "

"Oh.. I was about to tell you this door lets to Mr. Adams's office" She unlocks the door to led us inside the office.

On entering in that cabin my mouth drop open in awe, I have never saw any office like this before, it was amazing everything from the floor to walls, everything was flawless, the room was dominated with White and Grey color,

It was like that every furniture in the room was speaking that they cost a lot, and the chair in the middle in front of a huge window from which you could see the whole city, the chair was showing the power in itself.

"Well Mr. Adams like perfection you see" she told me with a smile on her face bringing me back to senses.

"It's amazing" we came out of his room and Mary starts to tell me my works,

"Well your first work is to make coffee for him"

Listening to this I was a bit shocked as I was not expecting it but I was not much bothered as I'm good at making it.

"Then you have to take care of his schedule, his meetings, you have to keep him posted about the company projects, then if there's a meeting you have to prepare the meeting room, you have to attend all his calls and you have to take care of his hotels bookings, his flights timings for abroad meetings, and you also have to book restaurants for meetings some times, apart from these sometimes you have to deal with his personal stuff like, his appointment with his doctor for monthly checkups and.. "

I was staring at her in shock that I have to do so many works and seeing my expression she starts to laugh

"I'm sorry I didn't meant to scare you from your job, I know I'm supposed to be helping you rather then scaring you"

"Here you go" she brings out an box of phone "This is your phone so you'll be able to work properly as it already has all the numbers of important peoples".

I took the phone in my hand and I was about to jump in happiness it was iPhone 14. Oh my God I think these are perks of being an assistant of an billionaire.

"No you are doing good, it just.. I was.."

She interrupted me "I understand don't worry" she brings our her phone and maybe text someone.

After few seconds a guy came in "Good Morning ladies"

"Ah.. Jack this is Keira" Mary introduced us and he eyed me from top to bottom and I kinda didn't like his stare, Jack was a good looking guy tall tan and all but again I'm really not interested.

"Keira he is Jack your assistant" she announce,

And for another time I was shocked as I was really not expecting that an assistant is gonna have an assistant.

"As the work it is very much so you need a one, and Jack will help you he will also tell you anything you wanna know right Jack" she turns to him.

"Yes Mary" he says with a smile on his face.

"Good Morning" Erik enters in room,

Mary runs to him giving him a light kiss "Hey love".

So they are a thing well that's so cute they both look so good together.

"I hope my beautiful girl told you everything" he looks at Mary adorably.

So they are together, they do make a great couple.

"Good, Mary we should leave you know we have meeting to catch" He said,

"Oh I literally forgot about it let's go, All the best for your new job Keira I'm sure you'll do great" she gives me hug, when she let go off me maybe her eyes were wet, I think I'm just seeing it, she leaves the room quickly.

"All the very best I believe that you'll take care of everything" Erik said with an serious face and leaves.

Now I was standing with Jack alone who was staring at me, I sigh in relief

He opens his mouth to say something "When they told me that my senior will be joining me shortly I wasn't expecting something like you".

Listening to him I stare at him "What do you mean?"

"Don't be mad I'm just saying something as beautiful as you I'm sure now I'm gonna enjoy working here finally" he emphasize on word finally and continues "I mean I was like very bored from seeing that Mr. Ruthless" he mocks, he walks towards me and takes out his hand from his pocket for hand shake "I'm Jack and you are Keira Peers it's nice to meet yah".

After thinking a bit I smiled a bit "Nice to meet you too".

I reach my apartment at six, today there was not much work expect attending calls and arranging meetings with them, even Jack helped me also I think he is not that bad as I thought him to be it's just his flirtatious comments and his stare annoys me out a bit.

We settle down to eat dinner we ordered pizza to celebrate my first day if work and then I was ready to answer all the questions of Miss. Betty.

"How was your first day babes?"

"I hope you didn't find some bitchy girl"

"Not yet, I met Mary and she was really very sweet" I took a bit in my pizza,

"How was your boss though I know he is sexy but how he looks in general"

"I didn't see him he is off on business trip" I could see a disappointment on her face but as usual it lasts for less than a second.

"Did you find any other handsome guy or that guy who took your interview"

"Yeah Erik is Mary's fiance Jack is not my type, and I was there to work not to look for handsome guys" I raise my eyebrow to tease her,

"I was asking about it so I could ask them out as I know you are close for relationships currently" she smirks,

"His name is Jack actually the work is too much to be handled by one so we are two"

"I just don't understand what is your type exactly"

I let out a sigh "Someone who'll understand me like no one else, someone who'll never leave me , someone who'll walk with me on every step of life, someone who'll love me truly".
