《It All Started With A Lie》{35}

"God, where is your mother?" Cher groaned as we all sat in the kitchen for dinner.
"I don't know, they should have been back by now," I said while my phone dinged on the counter beside where Ethan sat. "Can you check?" I asked while washing my hands.
He grinned, grabbing my phone and reading from the screen. "It's your mom. They're not coming home tonight. They're staying with a friend, the meeting took too long," he said, putting my phone back down.
"Great," Cher and I muttered in sync. "Just us youngsters then," Cher shrugged. Ethan and I looked at each other before looking at her. "Don't you dare make me feel old," she scoffed.
"Okay," we laughed in sync. I gave out the food that we ordered in, which was Chinese and then we all sat around, eating and talking. After dinner, we all winded up, and then Ethan and I went to my room, Cher went into the guest room.
"I love her but my god, she talks so much, it's tiring," I sighed, closing the door and turning to my bed, only to crash into him. His hands flew to my waist as he pulled me closer, smirking down at me. "Hello, there," I chuckled, putting my arms around his neck.
"Hi," he mumbled, "I haven't gotten you to myself all day," he sighed.
"What about it?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at him.
"Your aunt had you all to herself," he rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, a pain in the ass she is, offering to help me sneak off to see you and everything," I scoffed.
"How annoying," he said sarcastically.
"So annoying, she's smart enough not to interrupt us," I grinned.
"At last," he chuckled before kissing me.
I rested one hand and the base of his neck, my lips moving in sync with his. "You know what's gonna suck," I mumbled against his lips while taking a step forward.
He took one back and a few more after that which caused his legs to hit the bed and he sat down. "What?" he asked against my lips. He started lying back so I took that as my cue to straddle him, still not breaking the kiss.
"When we won't even be able to see each other on Monday, let alone speak or kiss," I said, pulling away and looking down at him.

"You're ruining the mood," he mumbled, "And anyway, it's just for one day, we'll be fine," he nodded reassuringly. I eyed him for a minute.
How is he so okay with it?
"I think. I hope. Oh shit, we're not gonna make it, are we?" he asked knowingly.
"No, it's highly unlikely," I laughed. "We have to do it though," I shrugged, pulling my hair to one side so it wasn't hitting his face or hiding mine. He sighed, staring at me. I nodded slowly. He shook his head in response. I nodded again and he shook his head again. "We have to," I whispered.
"God, don't say it again and again," he mumbled, "I'm trying not to think of it."
I leaned down, kissing him again, pulling back after a minute. "Maybe that can help," I grinned.
"No, I think you better try again," he smirked, pulling me back down. We kissed for a while. It started getting intense. Like really intense. A part of me thought we were going all the way tonight, but then he stopped me. "I don't want to do this with your aunt in the house," he chuckled.
"Is anyone there at yours?"
"Uh, yeah. Both my parents," he scoffed. I closed my eyes, letting out a sigh. "Someone's eager," he taunted.
"That was you about 2 minutes ago when I started kissing your neck," I retorted. I lay beside him, both of us staring at my ceiling. "Why did Daniel say we can't even sneak around on Monday?" I questioned.
"He said someone on the team might tell Justin."
"Half the team hates Justin," I pointed out.
"Yeah, but the other half doesn't. It's just better not to take any chances," he sighed, rubbing his eyes.
"Sleepy?" I asked, looking at him.
"No, just tired," he answered.
"Too tired to kiss me?" I smiled.
"Never too tired to kiss you," he smirked, kissing me. Not too long. Not too short. It was just perfect. A perfect kiss for the perfect moment. "I hope you understand how much I love you. I hope you don't underestimate it because you said it first. I was going to tell you. You just beat me to it," he said, staring down at me.
"I don't underestimate it," I said, "I know you love me," I nodded.

"Yeah, but do you know how much? Cause I don't think you get it," he chuckled.
"Tell me how much," I smiled. He grinned at me. "Even better, show me how much," I smirked.
"I really wish I could do that right now, but you know it's not a good idea with your aunt at home, especially since her room is next door," he said. I groaned into my pillow. "You know we've been going out for a really long time now, it's gonna be 2 months in two weeks," he said.
"We haven't been together for 2 months," I chuckled, shaking my head.
"Yes, we have," he argued, "Backtrack in your mind, do the math." I did the math and sure enough, it's almost 2 months.
"Wow," I mumbled.
"Yeah," he smiled.
I stared at him, he stared at me. "Ethan, I really just want to do it," I huffed, hiding my face in my pillow. I sound like a horny teenager.
You are a horny teenager.
I love him, it's not just me being horny.
Fair enough, I'll give you that.
"Patience is key," he sang.
"I don't need the key," I said, remembering when he said the same thing to me. "I'll be quiet," I whispered.
"No, you won't," he shook his head.
"You're that confident?" I cocked a brow at him.
He nodded, "I'm that confident. Let Cher leave, find a day that your house is empty, keep no plans, you can have me wherever you want," he smirked.
"You want me to wait that long?" I groaned.
"Can you wait for me?" he asked.
I stared at his eyes. "Of course, I can wait for you," I sighed in defeat, "Okay then. Tick tock, hopefully, time flies."
"No, hopefully, it doesn't, so the three days you have with Cher, are as long as they can be. You haven't seen her in years, you should hang with her while you can," he said while running his fingers through my hair.
"And you?" I asked.
"You have me for eternity," he winked.
"Eternity is a very long time, Mr. Archer," I laughed.
"Eternity is all we've got, babe," he said, kissing the top of my head. "Eternity is too short," he whispered, "It's too short for all I want with you."
I looked up at him, "What do you want with me?" I asked out of curiosity.
"I want you in all the ways I can get, in all the places I can get," he chuckled, "I want you in all the good and all the bad, I want a family with you, I want kids with you, I want a house with you, I want to see the world with you, I want you as my wife," he sighed, looking down at me, "I want to see you walking down the aisle. To me."
"You think we'll get married?" I whispered.
"I hope. I can't see myself with anyone else," he replied.
"And where does college fit in?" I questioned.
He shrugged, "I don't know, I really don't know. Hopefully, we make it. Cause, I don't know what I would do if we didn't." We fell into silence. "We could do what my parents did," he said.
"And what's that?" I asked.
"They started dating in junior year and then before college, they both broke up, mutually. Just so that they weren't holding each other back. If they were meant to be, they'd find their way back, and they did."
"It sounds painful. To be without that person for 4 whole years," I mumbled.
"It doesn't have to be 4 years. It could be cut short. If we do long distance. See each other every so often, make time, facetime every single day. It's hard work but it's worth it, right?" he asked.
I nodded, "Right. It's worth it for you. Someone else? Not so much," I scoffed.
He chuckled, holding me tighter. "Maybe we'll make it, Olive," he whispered.
"Maybe we will."
We both dozed off pretty quickly after that and when I woke up the next morning, he was already up, staring at me. "What?" I mumbled, rubbing my eyes open.
"You were dreaming about me," he grinned.
"No, I wasn't," I chortled.
"Yeah, you were. You said my name," he teased.
"Well, if I was dreaming about you, I don't remember," I said truthfully.
"Well, I dreamed about you," he shrugged, rolling over and turning his back to me.
"You did?" I asked, playing big spoon, resting my chin on his shoulder.
He grinned, spinning back around to face me. "Yes," he smiled, flashing me his dimple.
"What was the dream?"
"It was you," he said slowly, "Naked."
Oh.
"In-"
"Olivia! Ethan! I made breakfast, get down here!" Cher yelled.
We both groaned in sync. "Tell me later, don't forget it," I said before kissing him.
"I couldn't even if I tried," he winked.
