《It All Started With A Lie》{23}

We went back to sleep not long after that and then I woke up about 4 hours after that. I went to the bathroom and then went back to sleep. I had been taking short naps of 30-40 minutes till now and now I was finally up, I couldn't go back to sleep anymore because of the pain.

Ethan was taking a shower right now and I was dying.

"For the love of God," I winced, sitting up against the headboard. "Nope, that's just making it worse, okay," I huffed, lying back down. I lay on my side and curled myself up into a little ball and almost dozed off again, only coming to life when Ethan came out in just a towel. "Hi," I mumbled.

"Hi," he said, walking over to me. "Are you okay?" he asked.

"Wrong question," I grunted, turning onto the other side so I was facing him.

He nodded, "Can I do anything?" he asked.

"You can get dressed first," I chuckled.

"Okay," he smiled, tucking my hair behind my ear. "Can I kiss you?" he asked cautiously.

"Right question," I grinned.

He chuckled, leaning down and kissing me softly. He went and got dressed after that and came back, lying down beside me. "You should eat something," he said, glancing at the clock.

"I'm not that hungry," I replied.

"That doesn't matter, you haven't eaten anything, it's almost 11 and you've been up, on and off, since 4 in the morning," he said, standing up.

"I'm really not hungry, maybe a little later, please? But if you're going downstairs, can you please heat this up? 2 minutes in the microwave," I smiled, handing him the heating pad.

"Please? You don't have to say please," he chuckled, taking it from me. "And I'm bringing you something to eat," he smiled before he went downstairs.

I didn't know guys like him even existed, what the hell? I always thought he was an A-class douchebag who just took pleasure in annoying me and hated my guts. I guess I was wrong.

He came back upstairs moments later with a fruit bowl for me and my heating pad.

"You made this or you had this?" I asked, sitting up against the headboard.

"Excuse me? I made this," he chuckled, "It's not that hard to chop up fruits, and believe it or not, I can cook," he smirked, sitting beside me.

"Pasta doesn't count," I grinned.

"I'm not just talking about pasta," he retorted. I looked at him, not completely convinced. "How about I cook you dinner sometime, then you'll believe me?" he asked.

I stared at him, slowly nodding, "Then I'll believe you," I said.

"It'll be a date," he smirked.

"It'll be a date," I shrugged. We were just talking while he looked for something to watch, I finished my fruit bowl and glanced out the window, into my room. "I should head out, you know," I said, standing up.

"Why? Where? What happened?" he asked, his head snapping to me.

"Nothing happened," I laughed, "I should get back home, we've got school tomorrow anyway and I've been here almost 24 hours," I sighed.

"It's been nowhere near 24 hours, we got here late last night," he argued.

"It's been over 12 hours so close enough," I shrugged, grabbing my things.

"Olivia," he huffed.

"Ethan," I said mockingly.

"I love that you finally know my name," he grinned.

"Ditto," I said while grabbing my phone from his nightstand.

"Don't go, I'll drop you back there tonight, just spend the day here, what are you gonna do there?" he asked, scooting over and kneeling in front of me on the bed.

"I'm going to take a shower and lay in bed," I answered.

"You can do that here," he shrugged.

"I need my clothes," I reasoned.

"Then I'll go get them for you," he said, taking my keys from my hands and dangling them in my face.

"But I have to shower," I chuckled.

"There's a bathroom literally five steps away from you," he said, tilting his head to the side.

"But that's my room," I whined.

"This is mine," he shrugged.

"You shower in your room, let me shower in mine?" I laughed.

"What's mine is yours, honey," he smirked.

I shook my head, smiling. "I'll come back after I shower? Okay?" I asked.

"Can I come with you?" he beamed.

"No," I shook my head again, "I'll shower and then come back, okay, honey?" I chuckled.

He sighed in defeat, "Okay, honey." His shoulders slumped. "But give me a kiss before you go."

"I honestly feel like shit right now, kissing isn't really up there on my list," I sighed. When you're on your period and you're tolerating pain and you feel disgusting and like literal shit, you don't really feel like kissing someone. I don't, at least. I feel like I'll taint them with my... disgustingness.

"It's most certainly up there on mine," he shrugged, grabbing my waist and tugging, pulling me closer.

"Ethan," I clicked my tongue.

"Olivia," he said, clicking his tongue mockingly.

"It's one kiss," he said, tilting his head to one side, looking at me innocently.

"It's one kiss! When I look like... this!" I whisper-yelled.

"When you look like this? What are you talking about? You look pretty," he shrugged, eyeing me up and down.

"You're not funny," I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not trying to be," he frowned in confusion.

"Really? Because I-"

"You're talking too much," he said before grabbing the back of my neck and slamming his lips down on mine.

I stumbled forward, my knees hitting his bed which steadied me while my body froze involuntarily but my lips moved in sync with his. Also involuntarily. It was instinctive. He tugged a little more at my waist and I dropped the heating pad on the bed, placing my hand on his chest, ready to push him off but my body didn't want to listen to my brain. I don't blame it, honestly, my brain is on the way to turning into mush right now anyway. I can't focus right. At all.

Jesus, pull away, you're losing your mind.

He hasn't kissed me like that before, can you blame me?

No, but pull away, you're losing brain cells.

"Ethan," I mumbled against his lips.

"You talk way too much," he said a little breathlessly, resting his forehead against mine.

"I have to go," I said, clearing my throat.

"Okay, come back later?" he said, pulling away to look at me.

"Uh," my fingers traced my lips, "Yeah, later," I chuckled, picking up my things and heading for the door.

He led me out and even walked me to my door. "Kiss?" he asked, smirking.

"No," I laughed, "Your one kiss turned into something else, can't do that right here," I shook my head while unlocking my door.

"Why? Will your neighbors see?" he rolled his eyes.

"My neighbor isn't the best," I said, playing along with his game.

"Why? I happen to think he's amazing," he scoffed.

I turned to him, setting me things down on the table behind the door. I stepped closer, going on my toes and leaning forward by his ear. "He's the devil," I whispered. I looked back at him, seeing his eyebrows shoot up in surprise.

"The devil?" he smirked.

"Mm-hmm," I nodded.

"I guess we better watch out then," he smiled.

"We better," I chuckled.

"Be back in...?"

"An hour."

"An hour?" His eyes widened.

"Yes, sir. Have fun," I kissed his cheek before heading inside. I heard him sigh as I closed the door behind me and caught him entering his house from my kitchen window. I went upstairs and grabbed my clothes, heading straight for the shower.

Once I was refreshed and feeling a little better, I finger-combed my hair before throwing it into a braid and then grabbing my phone, keys, and the heating pad, heading back over to Ethan's house.

Once I stepped out of mine, I saw a car driving this way. I didn't give it much thought and continued walking to Ethan's, stopping when the car stopped right beside me. I was confused and slightly worried so I continued walking.

"Olivia!" I turned around and saw Justin's head sticking out the window. I frowned, even more, confused than earlier, and stayed rooted to my spot. "Have you got a minute?" he asked, driving up to me.

"For you?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at him.

"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you," he said, his eyes moving up and down my body.

"Um, about?" I asked, cracking my knuckles out of anxiousness.

"Can you get in the car? Maybe we can grab coffee?" he asked.

I stared at him in extreme confusion. "Uh..." I trailed off. "Haven't you got a minute?" he asked.

"For you? No," I shook my head, turning back around to get to Ethan's as quickly as possible and I must say, this distance between our houses has never felt so big.

"Olivia!"

"Don't listen, keep walking," I told myself.

"Olivia, wait!" he said, driving by me. I speed walked to Ethan's house, ringing the doorbell about ten times. "Olivia!" Justin yelled before I heard the car door slam shut. I froze, my eyes wide as I turned around.

"Olivia?"

I frowned in confusion, turning back around, seeing Ethan standing in the doorway. "Oh, thank god," I let out a sigh of relief, hugging him tightly.

"Um..." he mumbled in confusion, hugging me back regardless. "Oh," he sighed. I pulled away and looked at him, seeing the way he looked at Justin, pure annoyance written across his face. "Do you remember what you told me one time?" Ethan asked.

"What?" I questioned.

"How great it would be if I fought with him?"

"Ethan," I said warningly.

"I'm really thinking about that right now."
