THANK YOU GUYS FOR 40K WHAA—

Your POV
Enola, Tewkesbury, and I walk into the seemingly quiet household.
Enola and I follow his lead, as it is his house after all. "What's happened?" he asks us.
"They know we're here." Enola answers as they come to the foyer.
We walk to a table with a vase, when the sound of a gun cocking echoes around us. "Down!" I yell, bringing both of them down with me.
The vase of the table shatters as the bullet hits it. "Run!" Enola shouts, Tewkesbury and I hurrying after her as she breaks.
We pound on the door we came from but to no avail, "It's locked!" Tewkesbury cries.
"We hadn't noticed!" I shout as another gunshot nears us and we press out back to the wall.
Another bullet flies past us making Enola scream. The man in the brown bowler hat stalks closer and Enola yells again, "Down!"
I grab Tewkesbury's hand as run down the hall, various shots coming at us, Enola gasping every time.
It goes quiet for a moment before a bullet hits the statue hiding us making Enola duck and Tewkesbury gasps and holds onto my hand tighter.
Another shot is fired and Tewkesbury pulls us to a crouch.
It goes quiet as the man has to reload and I grab a fallen chunk of the statue and I throw it across the room, the man shooting repeatedly at the noise.
"Stay here." Enola mutters to the two of us as she army rolls to the other side of the hall.
I look back to Tewkesbury and our eyes travel down to our entwined hands and I clear my throat and he lets go, both of us avoiding eye contact as heat rises to our cheeks.
I turn back to the commotion to see the man come around the corner and he shoots at the armor making both of us jump.
I see Enola pick up a piece and we use the same distraction which gives me enough time to roll over to her.
The man walks closer after a few shots, a smirk on his features.
I look nervously over to the Viscount, as the man has his sights on him. Enola and I look to each other and nod.

As the man comes into our view and aims the gun at him, Enola runs out and jumps on his back and I lift the gun up so the shot narrowly avoids him.
He swings the gun around and nails me in the side before Enola grabs ahold of the gun and starts to choke him as he bangs her back against the wall and throws her to the ground.
He kicks her on the side and hits her face with the end of his gun, knocking her out.
I stand and quickly walk over to him, doing a sweep kick, making him fall flat on his back.
He scrambled to his feet and starts to fight me, but my mediocre skills at jiu jitsu fail me and he quickly gain the upper hand.
He kicks my ankle and I fall on my bottom, and I back away as he points his gun at me.
Until a familiar mop of brown hair crashes into him and throws his gun as far as he can.
The man turns and grabs a fistful of Tewkesbury's hair before nailing him in the face. I watch in horror as he quickly ties Tewkesbury into a chokehold.
"Get away from him." I cry. "Get away from him!" I yell, my strength returning as I stand and tear the man away from Tewkesbury.
He gets into a fighting stance and we begin our deadly dance, him advancing quickly on me. He takes a big swing and I duck quickly. He grabs my arms and forces me down before a flurry of black fabric curls around his ankle, pulling him down. His head lands on an odd piece of furniture making a nasty noise.
Tewkesbury gets up weakly and he crawls over to me as he pulls me into a hug as a few silent tears of relief drip down my face as I bury it in him chest.
The man grunts in pain and Enola inches towards him as I peek out and look over my shoulder. "Who do you work for?" She growls angrily. "WHO DO YOU WORK FOR?" She screams when he doesn't respond.
(sCooPs aHoY. i wOrK fOr sCoOps aHoY!)
"England." He says calmly with a sickening smile as he draws his last breath.

I inhale deeply and my eyes go up to meet Tewkesbury's and I run my hands over his clothing, smoothing it out.
A faint tapping noise is heard down the hall and the three of us turn our attention to the woman dressed in dark colors walking down the hall.
"Grandmother?" Tewkesbury croaks, his voice wavering.
"Yes. I'm afraid so." Tewkesbury scrambles to his feet, helping me up as well and I go over to help Enola up. "It seems if you want a job done, you have to do it yourself."
I step forward but Tewkesbury put his hand out, stopping me. "No, Y/n."
— 3rd POV —
(aka me taking a break then coming back and writing in 3rd person because i'm a dumbass and too lazy to change it.)
His grandmother slowly reaches down for the rifle on the ground as Enola comes to Y/n's side, her brain ticking.
"Wheres my mother?"
"In London." She answers simply. "With your uncle. Looking for you. They never understood." She says, walking closer to the trio. "I'm so sorry my darling." Y/n shakes her head but Enola holds her back. "The further of the country is at stake."
She raises the gun and points it to Tewkesbury's chest, "NO!" Y/n screams as Enola cries as she shoots the weapon.
Tewkesbury gets sent flying back at the force of the bullet, the two girls with tears running down their cheeks.
Y/n screams as Enola runs at the grandmother, not going to let another one of her friends suffer the same fate. His grandmother shoots again, but the gun clicks.
Empty.
"It's done." She says almost sadly. "It's done."
Enola takes the gun slowly from her and Y/n gasps. "Tewkesbury!" She cries and runs to the fallen Viscount.
Enola holds the grandmother back as she watches with watery eyes.
Y/n falls at his side and puts her hands on his chest. "Tewkesbury!" She sobs. "No!"
Her hands move up to the sides of his face, and her legs on either side of him begging for him to wake up. "Wake up. Come on." She says, running her thumb over his cheek. "No...no!" She lays her head on his chest as sobs rack her body, clinging to the boy she'd brown so fond of.
One hand stays on his cheek as one hand moves to his open palm, locking their hands together.
She closes her eyes and Enola looks down, his grandmother putting a hand on her shoulder only to have Enola smack it away.
Y/n's hand on his cheek brushes lightly over the skin, her other hand not wanting to leave his.
Then slowly, his fingers wrap around hers, making her head shoot up and off his chest.
Enola's eyes widen as she sees the small movement.
Y/n gasps and sits up, Tewkesbury's eyes fluttering open. He grunts and sits up slowly, Y/n helping up up.
His grandmother gasps in shock making Enola smirk through her tears.
Tewkesbury smiles at the girl in his arms. "I'm not entirely and idiot you know." He says quietly, unbuttoning his shirt to reveal a breastplate from one of the armors.
Y/n's hands trace over the bullet hole, shock and happiness overwhelming her.
His hand reaches up and moves the hair out of her face as she smiles and sniffles, looking into the hazel eyes she yearned to see everyday. His hand rests on her cheek and he looks over her features. "You were made to fight."
She smiles and his gaze flickers down and back up before he presses his lips to hers, Y/n's eyes fluttering closed and her hands resting on his chest.
Enola has to refrain herself from squealing and jumping up and down as she sees the two kiss.
He brushes the tears that fell down her cheeks as he kissed her, finally pulling away and he rests his forehead against hers. She hugs him as tightly as she can, her fingers tangling with the baby hairs on the back of his back and he rests his head on her shoulder and Enola sends him a cheeky wink.
They don't let go of each other until the authorities arrive, not willing to let the other get away.

Earth Ravaged: The Alliance Chronicles Book 1
Originally published on Amazon in 2013, now published here as a serial for the free enjoyment of all. Book 3 to come later this year. This one could also stand a complete re-write with the knowledge and skill I've developed in the interim, and I may do so once I have pushed out chapters for the third book in the series. In the not too distant future, a group of seven people will set out on a mission of exploration to a nearby star system. Their destination is the Tau Ceti system, one of ten planned destinations as part of a new privately-funded space programme, involving many countries across the Earth. However, old problems still exist, and while they make their successful launch, they have no idea what begins to take place at home, what they will face on their journey, and who decides to pay Earth a visit while they are gone.
