The next day Remus was gone, and Cassiopeia has to return to her everyday routine. Her classes weren't boring, but for some reason they were extremely difficult. Harry was lagging behind, and he hated disappointing her.

"Cass, I just don't understand the importance of Orion and Draco. I don't even like Draco!" He was getting frustrated, but her patience was admirable and her smile never faltered. Harry enjoyed spending time with Cassiopeia, specially when she talked about the past.

That same day, he was called by Dumbledore. He went up to the gargoyle and said "lemon drops" which made the entrance to his office visible. "Harry, I'm afraid I have some bad news. I wanted to say this before I told your godmother because frankly, she scares me just a little bit" Harry made a confused look "but, Cassiopeia has been nothing but kind" Dumbledore chuckled slightly "oh, but I truly hope you never see that young Black angry, she truly has her sister's temper" Harry motioned him to continue talking "this year, I'm afraid, you won't be staying at her house" Harry scrunched up his nose in confusion. "Why?" He asked a little annoyed. "You see, the minister of magic, has decided that living with a werewolf is not particularly a safe environment for such a young wizard, so I have to be the bearer of bad news and inform you that you'll be staying at your aunt's house."

Harry's world stopped for a second. He felt as if someone had given him millions of galleons and then instantly taken them away. He was angry and sad and he had to tell Cassiopeia. He finally had a proper family and that old man took it away. "You best leave, we are going to announce the winners shortly." Harry left without saying good bye and decided to tell Cassiopeia about it later.

"Snivellous" Cassiopeia greeted. "Black, fancy encountering an extremely annoying wizard at this time of the day" he retorted smirking.

"Come on Snape, don't be such a downer. Tell me, why have you been taking care of Harry? Is it because a certain person from the past?"

That statement hit a nerve. There was something in Cassiopeia that still reminded him of his young self. She had the same essence, she was still witty and immature, and he still found her attractive.

"For you" he said waiting for her reaction. "I'm flattered" she said sarcastically "we both know that's impossible" she added. He nodded and looked down "I'll never get the girl" he said, the mood shifting to a serious tone and Cassiopeia sympathizing with him.

"Listen Sev, you had your time, but you blew it. You hung around the wrong sort of crowd and said things to both of us that weren't right. Even if that happens a long time ago, people don't change that easily and the mark you have won't go away any time soon."

Severus nodded and hugged the witch. "Don't tell anyone about this" he said. She nodded and smiled slightly at him, leaving for the dinner where Dumbledore would announce the winners.
