(Y/n)'s POV
Pulling the safety back, I aimed two shots at the door's hinges. The metal bars of the cell door clattered to the ground, no doubt informing the guards of my escape.
Smirking as I heard their speedy footsteps travelling along the multiple hallways of Nanba Prison, I immediately began my great escapade. This prison couldn't contain me, no prison could.
Triggering the traps just as I passed, I glanced behind to see the guards all struggling to avoid them. Calculating multiple solutions in my mind, I concluded that the easiest way was to avoid contact with my capturers.
Even she couldn't restrict me. I was a wild beast, no one could tame me. Hearing the commands of the guards who had come as reinforcements, I quickly turned a corner.
Four other inmates mirrored my surprised reaction. Without a second's delay, I pushed the four to the wall as the guards ran past, barely missing us as we stood, still as a statue.
"Thanks," exclaimed the long-haired one.
"Save your gratitude for when we make it out of here."
"Oi, number 51! You're dead when I catch you!" yelled Hajime.
"Well, I don't plan on being caught, especially not by a bald gorilla!"
"What was that, you badass wannabe?!"
"Come on, you four, let's go before that old grandpa gets here!"
I aimed two bullets at the bald man but he dodged them with a rough yet elegant flexibility that I hadn't known he had. Activating all the traps hidden within the walls, I urged the four in front of me to run faster.
The final door stood only a few metres ahead, its numerous locks nothing but a mere nuisance that we had no choice but to get rid of. The dark-haired male immediately unlocked them all with an eerily god-like ability.

"Oh no you don't!"
I saw the glint of Hajime's pistol as he aimed and shot without any hesitation. The bullet was heading straight for me. Swiftly unhooking a dagger from the strap on my thigh, I sliced the bullet in half with my honed accuracy.
"Let's see you dodge this!"
Shooting ten bullets all at once, I had no chance to block them all. Praying that a miracle could save us, the dark-haired inmate's arms suddenly transformed into blades.
He formed a cross with his arms and blew the bullets away. I licked my lips, grinning as the adrenaline in my veins amplified my excitement. My sharp tooth shone in the light as I whistled in awe.
"You have some pretty cool skills."
"We could say the same for you," exclaimed number 69.
"I'm Nico."
"Uno, nice to meetcha."
"Jyugo."
"The name's Rock."
"I'm (Y/n)."
"You five made a grave mistake when you decided to escape," Hajime said dangerously, his body only a metre away from Jyugo's blades.
"Damn it!"
~Some time later~
The warden had summoned me, although I didn't suspect nor question her actions. It was inevitable, considering our dire relationship. Hajime shoved me inside but before he could leave, I kicked his ass for treating me like so.
"Damn kid," he exclaimed amongst a vast number of profanities as he left.
"(Y/n)," the warden greeted although the anger in her eyes harboured nothing but hatred for my existence.
"Hey Momoko, how's it been?"
"Don't call me by my name."
"You just called me by mine."
"A-anyway, I've called you here to discuss something with you."
"Right, about all my crimes. You suspected me of choosing the wrong future as soon as I was adopted into your family."

"Robbery, trespassing, acts of violence and threatening, a suspect for being the accomplice of a murderer..."
"What do you think? Impressive, huh?"
"I brought him," I heard Hajime say as he pushed Jyugo inside.
I pulled the boy up with my bound hands as he face planted onto the ground. Once again kicking Hajime's good-for-nothing ass, I smirked as he yelled angrily and stormed away.
Unable to hold back my laughter, I leaned back as my stomach tickled. My 'sister' seemed to be even less pleased with my bullying the bald man than my mocking laughter.
"What's he doing here?"
"Uh (Y/n), should you really be doing that? The warden looks like she'd be happy to rip your throat out..." Jyugo said quietly.
"Don't mind her tough act. She's nothing but a girl who's fallen in love with the biggest jerk of all time."
"W-what nonsense!"
"So? What's Jyugo doing here?"
"Young man, I heard from Hajime about your 'power'."
"Oi, you're not thinking about putting him in solitary confinement, are you?"
"Why do you care what I do with him?"
"He saved my life. I should return the favour."
"By saving your life, you mean slicing all those bullets and shielding you from Hajime's punch. What a gentleman."
"Shut it, sis."
"'Sis'?! The warden's your sister?!" Jyugo asked, completely surprised.
I simply grinned in reply to his question. Holding out my cuffed hands, he seemed to understand my gesture. The handcuffs broke as soon as he transformed his limbs and cut my restrictions off without so much as touching a hair on my skin.
"Bye sis, we have other business to do."
Taking Jyugo by the hand, I ran towards the window and jumped out. We landed on a platform outside. Many guards had already been ordered to capture us but neither Jyugo nor I planned to go back.
"Let's go get your friends."
"(Y-(Y/n), your hand," he said.
I looked down to see that his other blade had sliced the back of my hand.
"I-I'm sorry, I-"
"If you're so sorry then help me escape!"
I gasped as he picked me up bridal-style, and jumped onto the next platform. His legs grew unsteady as he stumbled and fell from exhaustion. Eh?!
"Come on, you weakling! Get up!"
I dragged the dark-haired male by his clothes as I ran, trying to pinpoint my location. My cell was only a few blocks away. If I could make it there, then I'd be able to figure out the rest.
"Jyugo, come on. Wake up!"
He rubbed his eyes, as guards surrounded us from every direction and blocked all our possible escape routes. We stood back to back as we faced them.
"Don't faint from exhaustion before this is over."
"Don't count on it, (Y/n)."
"Ha, what a joke. You ready?"
"On your mark."

A powerful magic that would bring forth a being from another world with the power to change the world forever. Teaching prayers and invocations that blessed humanities legions and began to push back the demons, founding of the "The Church of the Spoken Word" rose to power and a stalemate was reached. Two thousand years ago, that stalemate was broken by the second casting of "The Millenial Summoning," and the arrival of "The First Sorceress," who taught humanity the basics of magic and enchanting. With the power of the Sorceress, the mages, and the priests the tide turned and the Demonic hordes began to be shoved back, signaling hopes of a golden age for mankind. One thousand years ago, the hopes of final victory and a new dawn for mankind were dashed by traitors who slew the participants of the ritual and took their places, using the ritual to bring forth a godlike being from the demons home world, "The Demon King," for no human knew his name, erased millenia of growth reducing humanity to barely a fragment of its former glory.
