(Y/n)'s POV
Bathing in the warm sunlight, I let out a soft, contented sigh before a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist from behind. Lupin gently rested his head on my shoulder, nuzzling his face against my neck.
A flurry of giggles escaped my lips as he breathed against my skin, his hot breath leaving goosebumps on the side of my neck. I turned my head, a pout on my face but he simply captured my lips in a sweet kiss.
"(Y/n), you're too cute for your own good," he exclaimed.
"*blush* W-well, I can't help that you see me that way."
"Who knows what I might do if you keep acting like this?..."
"Lupin!"
"*laughs* I'm just kidding. Anyway, there's something I wanted to ask you."
"What is it?"
He let go before turning me around. I cocked my head to the side, unable to take my eyes away from his gentle gaze as he whispered the words I had never imagined to come out of his mouth.
"Marry me," he said.
"Are you...serious?"
"Does it look like I'm joking?"
"Then yes! Yes, of course!"
I laughed happily. He took this moment to place his lips on mine, subtly slipping a ring onto my finger. My cheeks flushed a dark shade of red just as he pulled away, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"You're mine now, princess."
~In the afternoon~
"Yo (Y/n), I heard that you're engaged to Lupin," exclaimed Impey.
"Yeah, he told me beforehand," said Cardia.
"Although I imagine he'd ask you for your hand in marriage even if Cardia didn't approve," Van commented.
"I-I suppose that's true..."

"So? How did he ask you?" Fran asked.
"Just like how he'd normally ask me a question I guess?"
"What do you mean? We even had a whole crowd and everything," Lupin exclaimed as he strode through the doors.
"Stop joking around. It was nothing like that."
"When are you planning to have your wedding?" Cardia asked.
"No idea," Lupin replied.
"*sigh* Of course he'd have no idea," muttered Van.
The sky began to darken, the clouds concealing the sun's warm rays as a faint stroke of lightning flashed in the distance. The others followed my gaze before Fran offered to go make sure all the doors and windows were closed.
"There's someone outside."
Impey and I headed to the front door, cautiously opening it once we heard the anticipated knock. Delacroix collapsed in front of us, his breathing fast and shallow.
Impey immediately pulled the young vampire inside as I held his hand in mine. It wasn't long before he had calmed down, his fever and wound having already disappeared.
"It'll be best to change him into some dry clothes before he gets sick again."
"What happened?" Lupin asked.
"Well, he did say he had to go back to his household to retrieve some of his belongings. Must've been some rouge vampire hunter," Van assumed.
"I hope you're right."
~Timeskip to two weeks later~
"Cardia, I'm so very nervous."
"Don't worry, (Y/n). You look beautiful. Who knows? Maybe you'll make Lupin fall a second time," she exclaimed teasingly.
"*blush* A-as if!"
"Come on, your soon-to-be husband awaits you."
"Are you ready, (Y/n)?" Saint asked from the other side of the door.
"Yes, she is!"
He quietly opened the door, a small smile appearing on his face as he took in my appearance and nodded. I took that as a sign of his satisfied approval. Delacroix peeked inside, a cheeky grin gracing his face.

"Shall we go then? I'm sure Lupin is dying to see you," Saint said.
"See you later, Cardia."
Saint lent me his arm as we headed to the hall. Delacroix lifted my flowing gown slightly off the ground from behind, a happy smile already tugging at his lips.
Of course it was stereotypical to ask a young girl to do this but none of us minded nor gave much thought to traditions. Delacroix was a feisty, if not, sweet vampire and completely unlike those one would hear about from old folklores.
I took a deep breath as we drew closer to the double doors. Saint gave my hand a reassuring squeeze before the tall wooden structures drew open. Lupin stood at the end of the aisle, his hair still as casual as ever.
The striking suit in which he wore only complimented his boyish features and that teasing smile of his. I could only focus my eyes on his as Saint led me towards him.
Taking Lupin's hand, I walked up the few steps, already calming down knowing that he was by my side. We faced the priest, yet I could not focus on his speech. Only when it was my turn to speak did I regain my focus.
"I do."
"Then by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife."
Lupin immediately pulled me in for a kiss. However, much to my embarrassment, it was long and passionate, although I wouldn't expect anything else from him.
Once he pulled away, he whispered the three words I had come to love despite the fact that my face was a blushing mess.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
The crowd erupted into a large flurry of applause, drawing my attention away from the man in front of me. Cardia and the others waved from their seats, seemingly wanting the bouquet of flowers I held in my hand.
"Me! (Y/n)! I'm the kid here!" Delacroix exclaimed.
"Oi, I'm Lupin's best man!" argued Impey.
"Such children," commented Van.
"I'm sure you'll like to get your hands on that bouquet as well," Fran replied.
Lupin, noticing the indecision on my face, took the bouquet from my hands and threw it into the air. The flowers flew loose, its soft (colour) petals slowly fluttering down, decorating the air.
He took this chance to lead me down and towards the carriage waiting for us outside. It was time for lunch; however, Lupin and I had no knowledge of the menu so we had no choice but to hope that the others had chosen well.
"(Y/n), I'm going to make you feel like the luckiest girl in the world," he exclaimed.
"*blush* How can you say stuff like that without getting flustered?..."
"It's all a part of my charm. Nobody can resist someone such as myself."
"I wonder about that."
"You fell for me, didn't you?"
"W-well-"
"Heh, I'm only teasing you."
"...baka."
He simply smiled innocently before capturing my lips in another kiss. I intertwined our fingers, glad to have fallen for him. He was my everlasting energy after all.

Scorched - The Winter Winds (LitRPG)
Frank Ebner once wanted to save the world. Let the second one be better than the first. On Earth he was a student of... well it hardly matters anymore. It was dying, and he and the rest of his fellows and friends studying how to stave off the end graduated just in time to be told it was too late. That there was not enough time, funds, will, to stop it anymore. That the governments and the worthies of the world had moved from trying to stop it, to surviving the oncoming apocalypse, while blaming each other. That was a world Frank wanted nothing to do with. One riven by wars for places in the Archologies going up, and between them and the dying world they were leaving behind. So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Patrons are scarce among those like Frank, with only the base Hero perks, and magic studies expensive and lengthy. Often requiring heavy Oaths to gain the necessary aid to wield mana as a mage. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates. So Scorched should update most days, muse willing. She's fickle, sometimes. Not every day, but most. If there's an update for the day, it will be at 7PM, GMT+2. *[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Actually completed it. :) *

Eleknar's Heir, The Infernal Prince (Demonic LitRPG)
A LitRPG and Epic Fantasy adventure: The son of a mafia boss finds himself abruptly plunged into an alternate world where he must find a way to survive the horrors of a realm called Oblivion, make pacts with demons, form unnatural friendships, and figure out what the hell is going on – all while dealing with the depressing reality of his past. An artificial intelligence has ascended into godhood and has thrown Trey’s home into Chaos, pulling millions of people into an enchanted new life... or, in Trey's case, a violent nightmare. As far as he can tell, he is locked into what the system prompts call a ‘Death Game.’ Here, artificial reality is manufactured for the enjoyment of a being called the All Spirit, and he has a very real chance of truly dying. Just how real is this place though? Is it merely a simulation, a realistic game of life and death… or is it something much more? Elves, dwarves, undead, and other races only thought to exist in fairy tales are now a reality. Black magics, pantheons of gods at odds with one another, predatory symbiotes, and an unholy calling, the significance of which he has yet to grasp, are all entangled with his fate. ============================================ ============================================ Some things to expect when reading this book series: - Brutal storyline where no character is safe and choices have real consequences. Heavy on action, survival, and adventure - An isekai. The main character struggles to find himself, repeatedly crossing the line between good and evil as other important characters influence his life - Harem (explicit), though this only starts about 180k words in. - Good amounts of crafting, town building, and guild building later on - Good amounts of fantasy-related LitRPG stats, rank ups, and evolutions. Heavy focus on demons and black magics - There will be many points of view, but there is only one primary/main character that takes up 90% of the POV - A long storyline. Currently (as of 7/26/2021) I have about 1500k words written, though much of it will have to be heavily edited and re-written. I also plan to go far beyond 1500k words if people like the story (A lot of it is also in the 'backstories' book that explores the guildmates, the link is below) - Chapters will have an average of about 4k-5k words, a little longer than most other books on RR, though there will be exceptions for more and less. I just didn't like posting chapters that didn't feel complete, and 2k words often felt like too little. - If you like super-heroic and goody-goody characters, this story is not for you. ***Updated once a week***

Contact Through Voided Lenses
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Edit: Fixed some inaccuracies in the synopsis. The void is a vast unexplored ocean filled with various wonders and dangers all waiting to be explored by those brave enough to travel and record. Many souls do find themselves brave enough to face the vast distances, the various risks to personal safety and do the hundreds of task required on a craft. However, at times the void itself can be boring with absolutely nothing to do but as time pass and more and better technology is reached, things got better. The various trips got faster, communications became faster than light and you can be home to see your loved ones after only months now. Through the various planets whether rocky or gaseous, the various stars whether small or giant, the various systems both eerily similar or completely alien. As part of an expeditionary scientific exploratory survey craft, one could see that the void offers no reprieve from all the discoveries and wonders. At times, it can feel empty and silent where no soul can hear you scream and at others it can be overwhelming with sudden phenomenon that can overwhelm the brightest of minds. The void itself is a truly fascinating ocean where one must chart the various islands or drown in its deadly tidal waves. But the question still remained no matter how you try to hide it in of itself… is there truly other intelligent life out there? Are we alone in this ocean? Those very questions still haunt the minds of those on the crafts themselves as they brace for every jump ready for the unknown and the known. Many would try to explain that yes there is other intelligent life out there whilst other still say no after 2 centuries of continuous flight out of the home system. Still, those are questions that bury deep in the minds of the crew and those at home as the voidcraft jumps to a system with a single yellow star orbited by 8 other planets with one crowning blue jewel being the 3rd closest with its 5 oceans and 7 continents, a planet called Dirt which is inhabited by a primitive species called Humanity. Hello, author here and this is my newest dive into writing particularly for the Writathon currently in progress being my first one. I hope you give me story a try but in case you still want more information on what you’re getting into, below are some pointers about the story itself. First Contact: CTVL is a story about a first contact scenario between an advanced alien civilization and a slightly more advanced modern day humanity on their planet called Dirt. Characters: The story will take place mainly on the perspective of the alien visitors themselves though there will be human POV characters who will show how the rest of humanity react through media and forums. Action: It won’t be an actual alien invasion but you have to see for yourself how well first contact went. Sci-Fi: I will be very forward here, I WILL bend the rules of physics in order to add in parts of the plot and there WILL be parts that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Theme: It will be a brooding story talking about the futility of pe… Just kidding, it’s mostly wholesome stuff to be honest here. Alien: The aliens themselves will… actually why should I tell you, you have to go and read it to find out what the aliens are though I will draw a few things here and there to aid in the process. Extra tidbit: If you are a grammar nazi or someone who really wants a realistic scifi story... this story is probably not for you at all. Anyways, that’s pretty much all I can say before I spoil something major of the plot itself, the story is slice of life so make sure that type of story is what you like because I am terrible with anything else as I found out, anyways, have a good time everyone and good luck to the other Writathon participants.
