Anime: Fairy Tail
(Y/n)'s POV
"Hey, you're the new member, right?"
I finished gulping down the glass of beer before looking up at the pink-haired dragon slayer who had interrupted my precious drinking time.
"Yeah, so what?"
"I heard you joined yesterday. My name's Natsu."
"I'm (Y/n)."
"What's your magic? Want to join our team?"
"Reflector and no."
"Why not?"
"I work alone."
I ordered another glass. Mira placed one in front of me with a smile. I thanked her and took a big gulp of the beer. This was nice. I wish I had joined a guild earlier.
"So why did you join?" asked a blonde girl.
"Just for the jobs. It's hard to find one when you're a freelance mage up for hire."
"Hey (Y/n), fight me," Natsu exclaimed, a challenge in his eyes.
"No."
"With all that drinking, you'll get drunk," said Erza, a.k.a. Titania.
"That's none of your business. I'm a pretty strong drinker."
"Oh? I challenge you to a drinking contest then," a brown-haired girl exclaimed while downing a barrel of beer.
I stood up, facing her with a stoic expression. She raised an eyebrow but I just gave her a half-hearted grin and shook my head. She seemed to blank out for a few seconds before shrugging and walking away.
"Hey, where are you going?" asked Gray, the one who had introduced me to this guild.
"I'm gonna look around the city. Don't bother me."
I walked outside without waiting for his reply but instead, heard a flirtatious whistle. I ignored it, thinking that it was just some stupid drunkard.
To my right. I distorted the path in which his arm was moving, pushing him up against the wall of the guild. He smirked and licked his lips. I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"Who the hell are you?"
"Loke but you might know me as Leo the lion, one of the 12 golden gates."
"Oh, that one. The arrogant playboy."
I released him but immediately regretted my decision. He took a few steps forward and lifted my chin up with two fingers. I stared at him with a bored look on my face.
"Your shoelaces are undone," he exclaimed.
"And?"
"Why don't you tie them up so that you don't fall for me?"
I internally gagged at his cringe-worthy pick-up line. What a jerk. I flipped him over my body and onto his back. He lay there, the smirk still plastered on his face.
"Nice view," he commented.
"I have shorts on, dumbass."
"You know, you have really nice legs."
"Loke, how did you get out?!" the blonde girl from before asked.
"Yo Lucy," he said.
"(Y/n), he didn't try anything weird, did he?"
"Other than flirting, I'd say no."
"*sigh* He just never stops..."
"You're a celestial mage? I suggest you keep this one under control. I don't need an idiot following me around."
Suddenly, my hands were held behind my back. Loke's warm breath tickled my neck as he sent a flurry of light kisses down, reaching my collarbone.
I held in an angry moan and ripped my arms out of his grasp. Lucy was no help, staring wide-eyed at the male behind me with a blush on her cheeks even though nothing had happened to her.
"L-Loke! Stop with that! Forced closure!"
He disappeared but not before blowing a kiss towards me. I aimed a punch for his head, only to hit into an empty space. My heart was beating ferociously from anger and slight excitement.

"He's usually not so...clingy," Lucy exclaimed, sympathy etched onto her face.
"I think it's mating season," Natsu cut in.
"What? Mating season? For a celestial spirit?"
"Well, he's a lion, isn't he? And I always feel weird when I'm around Lucy, like-"
"There's no need to go through the details!" Lucy yelled.
"So what? Now he's attracted to...me? *sigh* What now? I don't wanna date a playboy..."
"Don't give up hope yet. Maybe he's actually serious about this relationship," Lucy said optimistically.
"I doubt it. The second he gets a chance, he'll cheat on me."
"Loke may be a massive playboy but he's also a loyal comrade. If he's serious about you, I doubt he'll leave you," Gray explained while coming outside.
"Well, I don't like him. I mean, I just met him!"
"That's why blind dates exist, sweetheart."
I jumped, accidentally slamming my fist into Loke's face. He stumbled a few steps back, covering his nose with one hand. Omg, did I just give him a nosebleed? Tch, serves him right.
"Are you alright?" Gray asked.
"Yeah," Loke replied.
"Sorry, you gave me a fright, coming out of the blue like that."
"I guess I deserve it."
"Damn right you do."
~Some time later~
I sat under the cherry blossom tree, watching people walk past. The sun had fallen, casting the sky in shades of midnight blue. I let the breeze ruffle my hair, enjoying the cool atmosphere.
A sneeze escaped my mouth. Was it getting chilly already? Despite knowing this, I continued to watch the city from the hill. This was much more preferable than seeing that jerk at the guild.
I startled, surprised that a warm coat was being placed over my shoulders. I turned my head to see Loke sitting down beside me. He grinned before leaning back on his arms.
"Like the view?" he asked.
"What are you doing here?"
"Am I not allowed to visit a friend?"
"Friend? We're strangers. I don't know you."
"Come on, don't be like that. Listen, I'm sorry about before. I didn't know it would annoy you so much."
"You should've stopped. I don't know if I'll want to become your friend."
"I'm sorry, okay? I don't know what came over me..."
"Yep, says the biggest playboy of the century."
"I mean it!"
He didn't seem like he was joking nor trying to irritate me. I watched him as he stared at the city below. His expression was peaceful yet conflicted. With a sigh, I stood up and held out my hand. He stared at me in confusion.
"Are you going to keep me waiting forever?"
"*smiles* No ma'am."
I cracked a smile and pulled him up. We headed down towards the stores. This time, he wasn't flirting nor trying to win over my heart. We were walking hand-in-hand like friends on a day out.
"You know, you're not so bad like this."
"I was never bad to begin with," he replied.
"Whatever. I'm just going to let you know that if you flirt even once with me, we're done. No friends, no comrades, just acquaintances."
"I'll try my best but I need to let you know something too."
"What?"
"Gray said something about mating season and he thinks I want you to be my partner."
