Anime: Vampire Knight
(Y/n)'s POV
My eyes slowly drifted to the blonde-haired vampire. I was soon lost in those vibrant blue eyes of his. It simply wasn't possible to ever pull away. I had found a light that would forever be there to guide me.
Aido turned his head to the side and flashed a small, gentle smile towards me. I felt a blush creep up to my cheeks as he winked at me before focusing back on the class.
I had only come to Cross Academy last year and he had already made me fall for him. Whether it was his carefree smile or cheerful nature, I couldn't tell.
As I went back to doing my questions, a light tap on my shoulder made me look up again. I turned around and came face to face with Rima. She passed me a chocolate pocky and asked me for an eraser.
"Here you go."
"Thanks (Y/n)," she replied.
I nibbled on the pocky while doing my work. While doing these dreaded questions, my focus wondered over to Aido again. He was like glue, I could never get him out of my thoughts.
I was jealous. I had always been quite quiet so it was a little difficult for me to bond with others. I watched as he happily talked to Cain, who seemed to listen only out of boredom.
"Thinking about Aido again?" asked Rima as she hopped down to sit next to me.
"*blush* Huh? N-no..."
"*smirks* Knew it."
"W-whatever."
"Ne, why don't you try to talk to him a bit more?"
"A-as if I can do that!"
"Come on, it's not that hard. Just follow my lead," she said then exclaimed, "Hey Aido!"
He stopped talking and looked our way. I accidentally made eye contact with him, causing my cheeks to blush deeply. I quickly looked away. Rima smirked, knowing what she had just done.

"(Y/n) would like to talk to you," she said to him.
"Huh?! What are you doing-"
"Oh yeah? I'll come over," Aido replied.
"No you will not! Get back to work!" yelled the teacher.
I sent a glare towards Rima, who simply mouthed an 'I helped you' back. A sigh escaped my lips as I tried to cool down my cheeks with my cold hands.
~After class~
I quickly walked out of the classroom, wanting to escape the prison of embarrassment as soon as class was dismissed. Ugh, Rima just had to say that to him...
But before I could take another step, someone grabbed onto my arm, making me turn around. Aido greeted me with a cheerful smile. I flashed a small smile back as I tried to walk away.
"Hey, Rima said you wanted to talk to me," he exclaimed while jogging up to my side.
"T-that was just a prank. I don't actually need to talk to you."
"*pouts* That's mean, (Y/n). I want to talk to you."
"W-what?"
"Come on."
He grabbed my hand, intertwining his fingers with mine. I could only let him drag me to the garden outside, where the bright moonlight shone down on the trees.
I immediately blushed once I noticed that he wasn't letting go of my hand even though we had already stopped walking. He turned around to face me.
"Hey (Y/n)?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you...like anyone?"
"*blush* W-what kind of a question is that?!"
"Oh, so you do. Who is it?"
"H-hey! I didn't even answer..."
"It's obvious from your reaction. So? Who?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Hmm, just because. I want to know."
"Then do you like anyone?"
"I sure do."

I immediately felt a little disheartened by the fact that he did. I knew that I wasn't the one he had fallen for. He never did talk to me much nor show much of an interest in interacting with me.
I had a feeling that it was Yuki. He always did try to get closer to her. But he didn't know that it had torn my heart apart every time. Every time, I wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out again.
"I-I...like you..."
My voice came out as a quiet whisper so I doubted he could hear me. But when he turned his head towards me in surprise, I knew that he had.
"Y-you can't be serious, right?"
"I-I am. Why would I lie about this?"
"I just...expected you to like someone else, like Kaname or something."
I would never like him. He killed my mother but of course, Aido didn't know that. Nobody expect Kaname did. He had killed my mother to save Yuki.
"Why do you like me?" he suddenly asked.
"...why are you asking me so many questions?"
"Huh? T-that's because I-I..."
"Listen, I'm glad that you actually wanted to talk to me but not like this. I don't want to believe the fact that you dragged me out here to tease me about liking you! So please, there are plenty of girls in the Day Class. I-I don't..."
"I'm...sorry."
"What?"
"I'm sorry. I just don't know how to act around you. Every time I look at you or at least try to get your attention, you always look away and seem to ignore me. I've been trying. Everyday, I try to get closer but I can't."
"I...never knew...I was just too nervous to face you..."
"...I tried to get closer to Yuki. I wanted to push my feelings aside, thinking that you hated me..."
"H-huh?..."
"(Y/n), I love you."
Before I could reply, he had lips on mine. He leaned into me, making me back against the tree. I hesitantly kissed back, shyly at first till he deepened the kiss. It was rough, as if he couldn't hold back any longer.
Soon, he pulled away and smiled. I immediately blushed and looked away. Suddenly, we heard a sound. Aido pulled me behind him.
"Who's there?" he asked.
"Congrats (Y/n), you got him to confess," exclaimed Rima."
"Huh? That's-"
"True. My plans always work."
I just rolled my eyes as she cracked a smile. Shiki was with her but he seemed too tired to bother with any of us. Aido simply looked between us in confusion.
"Oi Hanabusa, good job. Now you won't have to come complaining to me about your heartaches," said Cain.
"C-Cain!"
I giggled. It was a little strange to see Aido all flustered like that. But I was happy...happy that my feelings weren't one-sided and unrequited. He had mended my broken heart.
