《Stuffed Animals (Ghostface x Reader)》4 - CONFESSION

You woke up the next morning, still curled up against Stu on the couch. Billy sat at your feet and Sidney slept on the other couch. Tatum was up in her room, Dewey in his.
Tatum's mother woke everyone up except you. Billy gently shook you awake, and it took a moment before you opened your eyes. Your head was pounding and your calf burned when you stretched it. As you sat up, the movement made your head hurt worse and you began to tear up.
"Do you think you're able to go to school today?" He asked, his voice low and soft like he was trying not to scare you.
"Yeah, I think so. Gotta show that ghost man who's boss, y'know?" You joked halfheartedly.
After showering, you borrowed some of Tatum's old clothes since you were bigger than her. You managed to find a nice sweater in a sea of crop and tank tops, and you found some slim-fitting jeans as well.
You felt like hell and moved slowly, trying to drink lots of water to ease the migraine.
Honestly you were hesitant to go to school. You didn't want to pass out in class or anything, and you knew the press would be there again.
"Fuck." You muttered as you pulled up to the school. You were right, there was even more press today. As soon as you stepped out of Stu's car they locked onto you like a pack of wild dogs.
"Y/n! What happened last night?"
"Y/n how did you survive?"
"How do you feel?"
"Are you scared of being attacked at school?"
"Do you fear for your life?"
My head fucking hurts and no, you thought to yourself. Billy hooked around you for support while Stu and Tatum fended off press.

You managed to get inside before one of them killed anyone. They were hesitant to leave you on your own, but you assured them you'd be okay, even if you weren't entirely sure.
Your day had very few bumps, until you heard Sidney cry out as she ran down the hall. "What the fuck...", you sighed to yourself.
You left class to go find Sidney, who had run all the way to the office where Sheriff Burke and Dewey had been speaking to the principal.
"Sid! Sidney, what's wrong?" You stopped her.
"H-He was in the bathroom! He tried to attack me!" She explained shakily, "I have to get Dewey before he disappears!"
You walked with her, knowing he was already gone but not wanting to say it.
"Dewey!" She cried as she burst into the office, "He was here! He was in the bathroom!"
"Whoah, Sid, hey, easy," He tried to calm her, "Are you sure it was him and not some kid trying to scare you?"
"Yes, I'm sure! Please, he's going to get away!"
They left to go check out the bathroom but were hesitant to enter. After waiting until they were certain it was empty they finally did. By then, he was already back in class and taking notes.
The rest of the day was fine for you, a couple of kids had run up to you in Ghostface masks trying to scare you. When you stared straight through the mask without flinching they seemed to decide not to try again.
When school let out, you met up with Billy. He didn't notice you at first because you walked quietly on the fronts of your feet, but after a few minutes you finally said "Hey Billy!"
"Y/n!" He stopped for a second, "I didn't hear you come up."

"Well I sure hope you pay more attention in the future. I'd hate to have to avenge your death or somethin'."
"Aw, how sweet of you, Y/n," He laughed, "I was beginning to think you didn't have a heart."
"I think it might be missing, Loomis. Mind if I steal yours?" You half-joked.
"Certainly seems like you're trying. Already won poor Stu's." He said.
You almost missed a step. "Do you really think he likes me?"
He turned to you like you'd just asked if the sun was a planet. "Yes, absolutely. Is your brain leaking?" He smiled, "I bet he'd toss Tatum away instantly if you just asked."
"I don't wanna be that person," You muttered, "I don't wanna be the reason she's upset."
"Y/n, I know Tatum has cheated on Stu and so does he." He stated in a matter-of-fact tone, "At this point they're just fucking."
You knew that part, but you were still surprised to just... hear it.
"Hell, if Sid didn't need me right now I'd- well, she does."
You kept walking, pretending you didn't know what that meant. Your chest thumped and you almost decided to go somewhere private right then. "It's good that you're there for her." You stopped yourself. You had a plan, and you needed to stick to it. This was good news, though. This was fantastic news.
"Do you like rabbits, Billy?" You asked.
"I suppose. Why?"
"I dunno. I like rabbits. I want one of those floppy-eared stuffed bunnies, y'know?" You hummed innocently. Billy didn't stop, didn't prod, but he knew.
"Actually, yeah, I love rabbits." He smiled.

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.

"EeEEellllleeeeeelllllleeeeeeuuuuuuu!" I, too, yelled a battle cry at the top of my lungs. I had no idea what Simon had just spouted but from Camilla's giggling, I could guess that Simon thought that spouting nonsense was his way of getting out of the earlier predicament. "I forbid death upon this day," Camilla said. "What?" I answered a bit at a loss. "Ancient Latin," she replied smugly, "He said 'I forbid death upon this day'." I laughed aloud "Then he is gonna be really disappointed in everyone here," Camilla did not reply and instead took a deep breath. I did the same, zoning out everything in my surroundings. The environment became a world of electrical pulses traveling across several networks. I perceived the world through my lightning and sped my heartbeat to inhuman levels. Then I took a step forward, everyone followed in tandem. Camilla the first, and then the others. Then I took a second step, and this time everyone followed simultaneously. Third step… Fourth step… Fifth step… Then light jogging… Speeding up… Running … Running faster…. Then suddenly, everyone disappeared into motes of light particles that re-constructed itself hundreds of feet above the horde, dozens of miles away from our initial position.
