As Audrey looked around she saw many strangers she didn't know at all. She was outside somewhere and in front of her was a huge stage. Was she at some concert? The lights around them began to dim and a loud sound emerged from the huge amps all along the stage and the arena. Music began to play and lights shined on the stage. The crowd began to scream with excitement, everyone started pushing towards the front, begging to be closer to the band about to play. Two arms wrapped around Audrey and she looked behind her to see Klaus. "What's going on?" She asked with confusion. He motioned towards the stage with a smirk.
"Keep watching and find out," He teased, his smirk widening when she frowned and huffed at him. She looked at the stage again and though she could barely make out the faces, she immediately recognized the music. 'Breathe' by Pink Floyd began to play and she realized it was the actual band, not a different one just doing a cover of the song. Tears began to well in her eyes as immense happiness took over her.
"Klaus! I-This-," She stuttered in awe. His arms squeezed her and he placed a kiss on her cheek.
"I know this isn't real but I figured it would be almost as good," He chuckled.
"No this is amazing. Thank you so much," Audrey laughed through her tears. Klaus smiled and kissed her cheek. Before she knew it he was lifting her onto his shoulders so she could see better. She laughed wildly and steadied herself before looking at the stage again. Together the two sang along to every song the band played. Audrey never knew she could have so much fun in only a dream.
When her eyes fluttered open she saw Klaus was already awake staring at her. He smiled softly at her and leaned down to press a light kiss to her lips. When he pulled away she wore a huge smile. "You are the most amazing soulmate I could've ever asked for," she sighed with complete happiness.
"Did you expect any less?" Klaus chuckled causing her to snort.
"That was so real I actually felt like I was there," Audrey said in awe struck still. "I don't know how I can thank you,"
"I've got a few ideas, sweetheart," Klaus smirked as he leaned down to kiss her neck.
"Yeah? Mmm what are they?" She hummed in question but the grin on her face said that she already knew.
"Why don't I just show you," Klaus flirted kissing his way to her lips. Audrey moaned into the kiss and tightened her grip on him.
"Sounds absolutely lovely," She gasped. Before things could heat up Audrey's phone began to ring. Normally she would ignore it but she knew it was Jeremy and immediately pushed Klaus off of her to answer it. "Hello?"
"Hey, so we made it to the island a few hours ago and so far so good," Jeremy answered. "We're on the search for some cave that should hold Silas and the cure," Audrey sighed with relief but still felt uneasy.
"Well, I'm glad you made it there safe. I'm so worried Jer, it's killing me not being there with you all," Audrey expressed anxiously.
"I know and I love you for it," Jeremy chuckled. "We'll be fine, Audrey. Soon we'll all be home with the cure and we can finally put an end to this nightmare,"

"I hope so. I love you so much, Jeremy. Tell everyone I love them and I hope you all stay safe and well. Don't split up unless you absolutely need to," Audrey instructed making Jeremy laugh.
"Okay, mom," Jeremy teased playfully. "I love you too, I'll call you soon," After they hung up Audrey set her phone down and shut her eyes, groaning with frustration.
"My anxiety is going through the roof right now," Audrey admitted. Klaus glanced at her expecting her to be joking but he could sense the fear rolling off her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. "Before Kol was killed he told me something about Silas. He said that if they wake him he would unleash hell on earth. He was terrified, Klaus, that's why he kept going after Jeremy. He was scared of us getting the cure. You're brother didn't seem like the type to scare easy. That's why I'm freaking out. What if something happens to them? What if waking Silas really does bring hell on earth?"
Klaus sighed and pressed a comforting kiss to her head. "Kol was absolutely delirious. Silas is nothing but a myth,"
"What if he's not, Klaus?" She asked harshly, sitting up to turn and face him. "You didn't see the look in Kol's eyes as he explained Silas to Elena and I. He believed every word he said and so do I. I always thought Kol was mischievous but I don't think he'd lie about this. Especially since he went to such great lengths to prevent our search, even going so far that it got him killed," Klaus sat up as well and frowned at her.
"Audrey-," He began but she cut him off.
"No, I know you think I'm going mad too, but I've learned by now to always trust my gut," Audrey fired at him, huffing like a child. He wanted to roll his eyes at her but he could see she was completely serious.
"All right, let's say he is real. You honestly think I'd ever let anything happen to you?" Klaus questioned hoping it would ease her mind.
"It's not me I'm worried about. Right now my baby brother is on an island that supposedly holds Silas on it, along with Damon, Elena, Stefan, Rebekah, and Bonnie. If they have to wake him to get the cure then they're all screwed. If he's even half as powerful as Kol lead on than he's going to kill them all and there's nothing I can do about it," tears started to well in her big brown eyes. Klaus felt his chest tighten at seeing tears in her eyes. He wanted to see her smile again not cry. He lightly caressed her cheeks and raised her head to look at him. He wiped away her fallen tears with his thumbs and watched her sniffle sadly.
"As much as I hate that lot, I know they will be okay. Rebekah's bark is a lot meaner than her bite, especially since she'll be trying to stay on Stefan's good side, so I know she'll save whoever is in trouble. Damon and Stefan, though idiots, do seem to get themselves out of even the most peril of times. Bonnie is quite possibly one of the strongest witches I've come across, don't ever tell her I said that, and I know she'd do almost anything to keep your brother safe. As for Elena, I don't really care if she lives or not," Klaus explained getting a slight snort of his soulmate. She covered her mouth as she let out another giggle. "Ah, that's what I was waiting for. I love that smile and laugh,"

A light pink color tinged her cheeks and she smiled widely at him. "Thank you, you've managed to make me feel a little better,"
"How about I make you feel a lot better, sweetheart," Klaus flirted, planting his lips onto hers.

As Audrey sat up to pull a shirt on, Klaus sat up behind her, wrapping his hands around her waist to pull her close. He peppered kisses all along the back of her right shoulder causing an eruption of giggles to leave her mouth. "Stop! That tickles!" she laughed breathlessly. Klaus smiled and pulled back, he opened his mouth to reply but stopped when he noticed something he never did before. His fingers reached out and lightly traced a figure on the back of her shoulder. She arched her shoulders inward and laughed again. When she relaxed he stared at the mark. A crescent shape sat upon her skin but it was so faint it was nearly invisible. He had to squint his eyes to make out the whole shape, but he could see it was definitely a crescent. "Audrey, have you always had this birthmark?" Klaus questioned, softly tracing the mark again.
"Hmm? Oh yeah. I always forget it's even there, it's so faint," Audrey answered with a light laugh. Klaus frowned with confusion as he continued staring at the mark. She was right, it was faint. It had to be just one shade darker than her skin color. The thought made Klaus relax, his suspicions had to be wrong and this was just a coincidence. Audrey leaned forward and snagged Klaus's shirt off the floor, throwing it on herself quickly, before standing up. She turned to face him and gave him a smirk. "So I have been doing some thinking,"
"Oh yeah? And what have you been thinking about, beautiful?" Klaus charmed.
"Once everyone comes back home I'm sure Elena and I are still gonna have our differences, and I don't really want to deal with that anymore," Audrey explained vaguely. A wide bright smile began to spread across her face. "So what if I moved into the mansion? Fully,"
"I would absolutely love that," Klaus answered loving the way her eyes lit up. "Are you sure this is what you really want though? What about Jeremy?"
"I wouldn't be far away from him, besides I can come over whenever I want. I just don't think I can live here anymore, especially not after what happened with Kol," Audrey stated, sure of herself.
"If it's really what you want, then let's do it," Klaus smiled at her. She cheered and jumped with excitement.
"Yes! I'll call Caroline now and ask her to help me pack my things. The sooner I get them over to your place the better!" Audrey grabbed her phone and ran up to her bedroom, clicking Caroline's name immediately. Her best friend answered on the second ring.
"Hey! Any news from Jeremy?" Caroline asked.
"Yeah he said they made it to the island and are on the hunt for some cave that holds Silas in it," Audrey answered. "He said everyone was doing fine and that he'd try to keep me updated, but that's not why I called you,"
"That's great, I'm glad everyone is okay!" Caroline said before letting out a small laugh. "What's up then, babe?"
"I've decided that I'm moving in with Klaus," Audrey stated bluntly. "I need help moving my stuff to his place so I was hoping you might be available to help me,"
"Of course I'll help you, Audrey! Wow, you're moving in with him? That's a big step," Caroline said with slight shock.
"Yeah, but I really think I'm ready for this. Besides, I can't be here when Elena comes back home. I don't think I can look at her without getting pissed off all over again," Audrey sighed running a hand through her hair.
"Okay, fair point. I'll be over in like 5 minutes," Caroline said happily, before hanging up. Audrey threw her phone on her bed and pulled on a pair of shorts. After putting her messy brown waves in a bun she went into Alaric's old room where empty boxes were still laid on the floor. After he died they never finished cleaning out his stuff, it got too hard to look at them. She grabbed as many boxes as she could and brought them into her room. Just as she was starting to put things into them she heard a car door shut. Audrey smiled and ran downstairs just as Caroline was walking in. The blonde looked at her best friend with a smirk. "I've brought reinforcements," she said right as Matt stepped up behind her.
"Matty!" Audrey cheered opening her arms to give him a tight hug. "Thank you so much for helping us!"
"Well, it's not like I had much of a choice. You know how demanding Caroline can be," Matt joked causing the blonde to huff with disbelief.
"Oh I know," Audrey laughed pulling away from him. She heard someone clear their throat and turned to see Klaus watching them closely. She rolled her eyes at him and turned back to her friends. "Okay, thankfully, a lot of my clothes are already at Klaus's so we won't have that much to move,"
"So what spurred this on?" Matt questioned as the trio began to walk upstairs to Audrey's room.
"Elena going behind my back to kill my boyfriends brother," Audrey said. "If she had come to me first I would have went to Klaus and we could have figured out a way to handle Kol without killing him. She decided to be selfish because she only cares about getting that cure,"
"I mean wasn't Kol trying to kill Jeremy though?" Matt asked obliviously.
"Yeah but he wasn't invited in our house. We could have kept Jeremy safe in here until we handled Kol," Audrey answered stepping into her room. "She didn't think this through at all, nor did she care to. I know Klaus has done a lot of terrible things but he's still my soulmate. He's my family now too and it breaks my heart that he had to watch his brother get murdered right before him by my own siblings,"
"Yeah that is a little messed up," Matt admitted scratching the back of his head.
"Exactly! Which is why I can't live here anymore, not while she's still here at least," Audrey grumbled opening a box to put the items off her vanity in it. Matt shook his head playfully at the younger Gilbert and went to her dresser to start packing her clothes. The first drawer he opened happened to be her underwear drawer and with a teasing laugh he held up a pair of her more revealing panties.
"Ooooh look what I found!" He teased causing both girls to erupt with laughter. Audrey jumped forward and snatched them from him quickly, and swatted at him playfully.
"Careful those look expensive," Caroline teased joining in on the fun. Audrey giggled and threw the panties in a box.
"They were actually. Matt you can start with my vanity, I'll get my dresser," Audrey laughed trading him places. It took only a hour for them to pack all of her things and move them into the back of Matt's truck. As Matt carried out the last box, Audrey and Caroline stood in the doorway of her empty bedroom examining it. The only things left were her bare furniture.
"Your room looks so strange empty," Caroline commented. "We have so many good memories here,"
"Remember when you had your first kiss with Tristan Fell in 5th grade, and called an entire friend meeting here just to tell us about it?" Audrey laughed causing Caroline to join her.
"Oh my god! Yes! I put on one of your costume tiaras and pranced around like a princess all night gloating about it," Caroline snickered. "I'll never forget your mom making us the most delicious cookies ever,"
"Wow, her s'mores cookies were to die for," Audrey agreed. "I'm gonna miss this place, but it's not like I'll never come back. I mean, I only live 5 blocks away now,"
"Yeah, true," Caroline hummed. "I can't believe you're the youngest in our friend group and the first to move out,"
"Funny how that works right?" Audrey giggled. Caroline nodded and stepped out of the room, heading for the stairs. When she saw Audrey staying back she cocked an eyebrow at her. "I'm right behind you. I just need to grab a couple more things," Caroline nodded again and walked away. Audrey grabbed one more box and made her way into her parents old room. She went to the closet and smiled when she saw there were still clothes from her parents left. She grabbed one of her dad's zip ups and her mom's favorite shirt and walked out of the room. She ventured down to the living room and grabbed a photo of her whole family and a photo of her and her siblings with Alaric. She smiled at the pictures before setting them in the box.
"Got everything?" Klaus questioned softly. Audrey looked up at him and nodded.
"Yup! Now were just gonna drive it over to your place. Is the door locked?" Audrey asked stepping towards him.
Klaus shook his head. "No It shouldn't be. I came over here in a rush,"
"Can you believe we're gonna be living together?" Audrey asked cheerfully.
"Yes, I'm more excited about getting you all to myself now," Klaus smirked leaning down to capture her lips in a sweet kiss.
"Audrey!" Caroline yelled from outside. The couple pulled away from each other and Audrey rolled her eyes.
"She's so dramatic sometimes," She said walking to the front door.
"No, not Caroline. Impossible," Klaus said sarcastically. Audrey laughed and shook her head at him as she walked out of her house. She brought the box in her hands to the back of Matt's truck and set it in there with the rest before climbing into the backseat. Right as she got in the truck Caroline turned around to face her best friend.
"I heard your little comment," She huffed.
"Awe Care, you know I still love you," Audrey smiled. Caroline flipped her off and faced the front again while Matt laughed loudly at the situation. Once they pulled up to Klaus's mansion they began to unload the truck. "Leave everything in the foyer, I don't know where Klaus is gonna want me to put all of this,"
"You know, now that you live here, we are so utilizing this place for girls nights," Caroline stated looking around to observe the mansion.
"Well of course! You should see the entertainment room. He's practically got his own movie theater!" Audrey exclaimed.
"I always pictured myself living in a place like this someday," Caroline sighed in a dreamlike haze.
"It is rather extravagant isn't it?" Audrey said.
"You should definitely have a housewarming party. I'll bring the tequila," Matt suggested with a smile.
"Ooh I second this!" Caroline cheered.
"I'll run it by Klaus and see what he says," Audrey chuckled. "I'm sure I could convince him to agree,"
"Put on those panties I saw earlier and I'm sure he'd do anything you want," Matt said with a laugh when he saw her cheeks turn bright red.
"He does have a point," Caroline agreed.
"Okay enough talk about my panties, I need to get back to my soulmate," Audrey said trying to act like she wasn't flustered.
-
When Audrey stepped back inside the Gilbert house it was dark outside. Caroline and Matt convinced her to grab dinner with them before taking her back to Klaus. "Klaus?" She called out shutting the door behind her. He appeared in the entrance of the living room, looking relieved to see her. "Sorry it took so long, I grabbed a bite to eat with Caroline and Matt,"
"It's fine, I was just getting a little worried," Klaus admitted, his eyes widening after he realized what he said.
"Awe really?! That's kind of sweet!" Audrey exclaimed walking into the living room to wrap her arms around him. He brought her close and pressed his nose against her hair. "I love you so much," She hummed happily.
"I love you too," Klaus replied kissing the top of her head. They held each other peacefully until Audrey's phone interrupted them. She stepped away from Klaus immediately and pulled out her phone to see Damon calling her.
"Hello?" She answered.
