《Sinful |Klaus Mikaelson||》After School Special

Tears rolled down Audrey's face as she sat beside Elena in the gym. Today they were having a memorial service for Mayor Lockwood. Liz, Caroline's mom stood before the students and sighed. "Carol Lockwood always said that togetherness, in times of tragedy, leads to healing. That one community is stronger than a thousand of its members. But how does a community stay strong after losing its leader? And Carol was so much more than just a mayor. She was....an open minded friend..., and a concerned mother, taken from us too soon by a terrible accident," Liz said solemnly. Tyler growled and stood up from his seat quickly.

"Screw this," He huffed before storming out of the gym. Elena, Bonnie, and Audrey glanced at Caroline who shook her head at them.

"Please join me in observing a minute of silence in her memory," Liz said to everyone. Everyone put their head down and stayed quiet. Elena looked to the side and caught a glimpse of Rebekah. She did a double take but no one was there. Had she imagined the blonde original?

"Are you okay?" Audrey asked her sister when she noticed how panicked she looked.

"I'll be right back," Elena muttered before getting up and leaving.

"Thank you very much. In the wake of this tragedy, the town has selected an interim mayor. Many of you already know him. Please welcome, Mr. Rudy Hopkins!" Liz welcomed. Everyone clapped as he joined Liz on stage. Audrey couldn't listen to any more of the bullshit so she stood up and left the gym. She walked slowly down the hall, her body dragging itself like dead weight. Lately she had felt drained and empty, as if she were a shell of her old self walking around. Memories of Klaus's bloody face flashed in her mind. The body of Mayor Lockwood laying in the fountain haunted her. How could he do it? She was innocent.

"Audrey!" A voice called out. Audrey stopped and turned to see April coming towards her.

"Oh hey April," She smiled softly.

"I saw you leave and wanted to come check on you. Today's been hard on me too," April said kindly.

"I'm doing okay, but thank you. I appreciate it," Audrey answered tiredly.

"That's good! Hey so I know about Elena being a vampire," April stated casually. Audrey's eyes widened and she took a step back.

"Wha-?" She began but a hand covering her mouth stopped her. A towel was placed over her nose and slowly her vision began to blur.

"I know all about how you two lied to me too," April said as Audrey faded out of consciousness. Rebekah held the human up as she passed out, she shot April a smirk before carrying Audrey into the library where Caroline and Elena waited.

"Audrey!" They shouted once they saw their knocked out friend.

"What did you do to her?!" Elena shouted at Rebekah.

"Relax she's fine," Rebekah snapped. She tore the necklace and bracelet off Audrey before dropping her on the ground. "All this time together and Nik still doesn't fully trust her, giving her bracelets and necklaces with vervain so she wont ingest any. All so he can still compel her if needed be," Rebekah rolled her eyes before nudging Audrey with her foot. "Wake up princess," She said sarcastically. Audrey began to slowly wake up, eyes widening when she realized what happened.

"Rebekah, what the hell?!" She shouted standing up weakly. Rebekah grabbed her shoulders and looked her in the eyes.

"You will answer all of my questions honestly. You will not leave this room and you will do everything I say," Rebekah compelled before pushing the human into her sister and best friend.

"What the hell is going on?" Audrey asked angrily.

"We're going to have some fun, darling," Rebekah sneered before walking to the door. "April keep an eye on them. None of you can leave this room," She slammed the door as she left. Audrey looked at her friends and cocked an eyebrow.

"Don't look at us, we have no idea what's going on either," Caroline huffed. Audrey opened her mouth to reply but Rebekah entering with Stefan stopped her.

"Stefan!" Elena gasped with shock. She took a step forward but Rebekah stopped her.

"Did I say you could move? Class is in session. You've all been compelled. You know the rules. Answer my questions honestly, no disobedience, no one leaves. April, my sweet, take notes. This is how you get answers in this town. Let's start with a little quiz. In the year 1114, my brother learned, thanks to yours truly, about a brotherhood of vampire hunters with tattoos that grew with each kill. And these tattoos revealed what? Elena?" Rebekah questioned as she walked around a small table in the library. She motioned for everyone to sit which they did.

"A map," Elena answered rolling her eyes with annoyance.

"Which led to..., Audrey?" Rebekah hummed as she moved around the table to Audrey.

"A cure for vampirism," Audrey answered forcefully.

"Perfect. We're all caught up. Stefan Salvatore, the last time we saw each other, you had a vampire hunter, but in order to decode the map, you needed the location of the hunter's sword, which you got out of me using some very dirty tricks assuming you found the sword, you must have found the cure, and yet you're all still vampires, which means something went wrong," Rebekah narrated moving to Stefan. When she heard writing she turned to see April actually taking notes. "What are you doing?"

"You asked me to take notes," April answered innocently.

"I wasn't being literal, darling. But now that you mention it, a flow chart would be nice. Which means index cards and push pins. Go fetch," Rebekah ordered. April nodded and left the library quickly.

"You're wasting your time. We don't know anything," Stefan sighed with boredom.

"So you just gave up? I thought you'd do anything to save Elena. Even if it meant taking the cure yourself so you could grow old and die with her," Rebekah teased, Elena's eyes widened and she looked at Stefan with shock. "Why do you look so surprised? I'm missing something. What is it?"

"They broke up, okay? Now let us go," Caroline answered for the couple. Rebekah snickered at the new information.

"Well I'm confused. I thought Elena was your epic love, Stefan. I asked you what happened, and you have to tell me," Rebekah said making Stefan grit his teeth with anger.

"She slept with Damon," Stefan blurted out. Elena's eyes widened and she looked at Caroline with hurt, knowing the blonde.

"So, vampire Elena is a trollop who likes bad boys, which explains why Stefan reeks of alcohol. But what it doesn't explain is why sweet, loving, innocent Elena could be so heartless towards Stefan. How could she hurt you like that? Answer, please," Rebekah asked Stefan.

"She didn't know it at the time, but she was sired to Damon," Stefan answered with hurt.

"A sire bond. Fascinating. And what do you think about that, Elena?" Rebekah asked with a smirk.

"I think you're sad and bored and in desperate need of a hobby," Elena jabbed at the original.

"You're hiding something, fess up," Rebekah interrogated.

"I didn't sleep with Damon because of the sire bond. I slept with Damon because I'm in love with him," Elena answered confidently. Stefan, Caroline, and Audrey all looked at her in shock. Stefan felt more hurt than before.

"What does any of this have to do with the stupid cure?" Audrey asked angrily trying to lift the attention off her sister and her ex boyfriend.

"You're right. We got off the point. Stefan, how do I find the cure? Unless you'd rather talk about Damon and Elena all day," Rebekah mocked.

"There's a professor. He knows where the cure is," Stefan answered.

"Thank you. And uh, where do I find this Professor?" Rebekah asked again.

"Whitmore College," Audrey answered for Stefan. Rebekah looked over at the young human and smirked.

"Thank you, Audrey. I knew I could count on you," Rebekah smiled. She grabbed her phone out and quickly made a phone call, once she was off the phone she came back to the table. She looked at Audrey and smirked, leaning down to talk to her. "Are you still blindly in love with my bastard brother?" Audrey bit her tongue from answering. "Answer me,"

"Yes, but right now I'm not talking to him. I don't even want to look at him," Audrey growled out forcefully.

"Ooh trouble in paradise I see. What has Niklaus done now?" Rebekah questioned.

"He killed Tyler Lockwood's mom and I watched it happen," Audrey answered, her tone softening. Instead of anger, sorrow made its way to her heart. Everyone looked at her with surprise. They all had speculations that Klaus was the one who murdered Carol but no one knew for sure. "After my parents died, Carol did whatever it took to make sure Elena, Jeremy, and I felt at ease. She would bring over dinner almost every night and always check in on us. At first we thought it was smothering but than it felt nice to have someone there. I've lost almost everyone I've cared about and Klaus is responsible for most of their deaths. I thought if I loved him more than he's ever been loved before it would change him. I can't believe how stupid I've been. Klaus is never going to change and I don't know if I can blindly love him anymore," Tears rolled down her cheeks as she spoke her confession out. "I hate this stupid soulmate bond! It's like no matter how much I want to hate him I can't. Everything in my body screams at me to be with him but I know in my head that it's wrong!" She was crying now, finally releasing the thoughts she had trapped in her mind. Rebekah sympathized with her knowing full well what it's like to love her brother. He has a habit of continuously letting down the people who love him. She placed her hands on Audrey's shoulders and looked her in the eyes.

"I know what you're going through. I stayed by his side for a thousand years yet that wasn't enough. Nothing is ever enough for him, he's a selfish vindictive prick. I'm sorry that you understand now what its like to love my brother," Rebekah smiled sadly. "I don't want you here anymore, Audrey. Unlike the rest of this lot, I actually like you. So leave and don't come back," Audrey hesitated, not wanting to leave her friends and sister, but the compulsion forced her onto her feet. Her eyes met her friends who all gave her the same look. Get help. She grabbed her bag and headed for the door. "Oh and Audrey?" She stopped before she reached the door. "Make my brother pay for what he's done,"

"I fully intend to," Audrey smirked before exiting the room. She didn't stop walking until she reached outside. The moment she left the building the compulsion wore off. She tried to turn around and go back but she couldn't.

"Well well what do we have here?" A voice questioned. Audrey turned to see Kol approaching her with Shane. He seemed to be dragging the professor forcefully.

"Kol? Shane? Why are you here?" Audrey asked.

"Rebekah called, needed me to fetch her this lousy bloke," Kol said motioning towards Shane.

"Audrey please help me!" Shane insisted but Kol smacked him shutting him up.

"What's with you and your deranged family?!" Audrey shouted with frustration. "It's bad enough that I'm stuck with your psychotic brother for the rest of my life, but Rebekah has all my friends in there as hostages!"

"What can I say love, my family is a little crazy," Kol smirked. "Last time I was in town you seemed pretty happy to be with Nik. What did he finally show you that he cares for no one but himself?"

"I don't want to talk about it," Audrey sighed. Kol held his grin and stepped towards the young girl, while still holding Shane.

"You deserve better than Niklaus, love," Kol said. "I'm sorry my mother damned you to spend eternity with him, but if you ever grow tired of him I'll always be here to show you how a real man should treat a woman,"

"Thanks I'll keep that in mind," Audrey spat at him sarcastically before walking away. She wanted to rip her hair out from all the talk about Klaus. She just wanted to forget he even existed. Once she got to her car she whipped out her phone and called Damon.

"Little bird! Miss me already?" Damon said as he answered the phone.

"Actually, yes," Audrey sighed. "Oh Rebekah has Stefan, Elena, and Caroline hostage at the school by the way but I don't think she's going to do anything to them. She just wants answers on the cure,"

"And you're not freaking out? I don't know if you've noticed or not but Rebekah is batshit fucking crazy," Damon said with shock. "Who even undaggered her?!"

"April did I guess. Like I said she just wants answers to the cure, I'm staying outside of the school in case anything happens," Audrey replied. "I didn't call to talk about that though, I just needed to take my mind off everything,"

"How are you doing?" Damon asked.

"Terrible. All I can think about is Klaus and he's the last fucking person I want to think about," Audrey groaned throwing her head back against the seat.

"Well if it's any consideration, you're probably better off than he is right now," Damon said. "Actually, I know you're better off than him. I'm looking at him right now and he is definitely not a pretty picture," Audrey immediately shot up with panic.

"What?! Klaus is there?! Why?! Where's Jeremy?!" Audrey questioned quickly.

"Relax, Jeremy's fine. Klaus didn't trust me to take care of him so he popped in to annoy me," Damon answered calmly. Klaus shot a glare at him but said nothing.

"Well tell him to leave! I trust you with Jeremy but I don't trust him," Audrey growled furiously. Klaus rolled his eyes at this and sped forward to snatch Damon's phone out of his hands.

"Now I'm just hurt, love," Klaus said into the phone, causing Audrey to gasp. She hadn't heard his voice since the night he killed Carol Lockwood. Goosebumps raised all over her skin.

"Good. I hope you hurt for a long time," Audrey snapped. She was thankful she couldn't see him, it would only make it harder.

"Still upset with me I see," Klaus sighed.

"You killed Carol Lockwood, Klaus. She was completely innocent," Audrey said. "She was a friend to my family all of my life, so excuse me if I'm still mad at you for murdering her!"

"Sacrifices have to be made, love. I couldn't kill Tyler so I took his mother's life to call it even," Klaus replied as if she were supposed to accept it.

"You're unbelievable! Am I just supposed to be okay with the fact that you killed my friend's mom?! I've looked past everything you've done. I even looked past the fact that you killed my Aunt Jenna all because I love you. Is that not enough!?" Audrey questioned through tears. She quickly wiped them away and cursed herself for even crying.

"Audrey-," Klaus began.

"No, just leave Jeremy alone. You've done enough," Audrey said cutting him off. She hung up before he could say anything else and leaned back in her seat. Tears poured out of her eyes and before she knew it she was uncontrollably sobbing in her car. What had her life come to? She didn't know how long she cried for, not until Caroline had opened her door and embraced her in a tight hug. She didn't say anything, she just held her friend while she cried everything out. "I-I-I want to hate him-but I can't," Audrey hiccuped through sobs.

"Shhh, I know," Caroline cooed rubbing her back. "It's going to be okay, I promise," But even Caroline doubted her own words. She had no idea what Audrey was going through. All she knew was that she was going to stay by her friend's side no matter what happened.
