《Sinful |Klaus Mikaelson||》Drowning

Audrey stared out at the wide lake before her. Memories of her and her family enjoying summers flashed in her head. She smiled sadly at the thought and sighed. A hand gently grasped her shoulder and she looked to see Jeremy standing beside her. "I know, it's weird being out here again," Jeremy said as if he could read her mind.
"Remember when dad bought us that paddle boat and it broke the minute we put it on the water," Audrey smiled. Jeremy chuckled and nodded his head.
"Remember when they took us out here around Halloween time and dad tried everything he could to scare mom but she wasn't phased by anything," Jeremy said causing Audrey to laugh.
"Oh my god! Literally nothing ever scared her, well until we told her you had run off somewhere and we couldn't find you. I swear I had never seen someone run so fast," Audrey giggled. "At least someone that isn't supernatural," The minute she said supernatural Jeremy tensed. She turned to face him and placed a hand on his cheek. "I know you're struggling with this Jeremy and I want to help,"
"I'm fine, I promise, Aud," Jeremy said. "Just you being here is enough," She smiled softly at him and embraced him in a hug. Jeremy held her tight and relished in the comfort that she brought him. A door closing caught his attention and he looked over to see Elena and Damon had arrived. "What are they doing here?" Jeremy growled.
Bonnie who had just walked out of the lake house spoke up, "I called them, they're here to help," Audrey pulled away from her brother and saw who he was talking about. Bonnie approached the siblings and grabbed Jeremy's hand. "Do you trust me?"
"Yeah. Yeah, I trust you," Jeremy said.
"Let's go inside," She smiled at the two. She guided Jeremy to the house with Audrey following. Jeremy kept looking back at Elena and Damon with disgust. Just as they approached the door, Shane stepped out.
"What the hell is Professor Shadypants doing here?" Damon questioned clearly upset.
"I invited him," Elena answered. Damon shot her a glare not liking the fact that she's willing to trust him. Once inside, Shane and Bonnie began to move around the furniture to perform the hypnosis. Jeremy was standing off to the side with Audrey next to him, still glancing outside to Elena and Damon. Audrey took his hand into hers and squeezed it hoping it'd get him to calm down.
"Okay, listen, we are ready to get started, but before we can do that, we need her," Shane said pointing outside at Elena. "In here,"
"This is your house now, Jer," Elena said softly. Jeremy walked to the open door with Audrey and stared at his sister. "You have to invite me in," Jeremy doesn't respond and just stared at her.
"Go ahead, Jeremy. Invite her in," Shane encouraged. Jeremy still hesitated, it wasn't until Audrey squeezed his hand again did he snap out of it.
"You can come in," Jeremy muttered. Elena stepped inside slowly and smiled softly up at Jeremy, lightly touching his arm before walking past him to set her bag down. Jeremy looked down at where she touched him and reached for the stake in his waistband. He moved away from Audrey and attempted to attack Elena. Elena was quick though and grabbed his wrist before he could get her. She twisted his arm around to his back and wrapped an arm around his neck putting him in a choke hold. He struggled but Elena was too strong for him.

"Jeremy! Stop!" Audrey shouted as she walked over to him. She grabbed his face in her hands and looked him in the eyes. "Look at me, deep breaths okay?" Jeremy began to calm as he looked at Audrey. "In and out," She said before demonstrating. Jeremy did as told and quickly began to calm down. Elena slowly released him but he didn't attempt to attack her again he just stared at Audrey and continued to take deep breaths in and out. Audrey placed her forehead against his and sighed. "Don't worry Jer, I got you," When he was completely calm Audrey guided him over to Shane and Bonnie and sat him in the chair they had ready for him. Once he sat down they strapped his wrists down to keep him from attacking Elena any further. Shane began the hypnosis immediately putting Jeremy in a trance.
"All Jeremy feels when he sees a vampire is a burning desire to kill them, even if consciously he doesn't want to. As in your case, it's his subconscious that's calling the shots," Shane said to Elena as she sat across from Jeremy with Bonnie.
"Persuasion helps reverse your subconscious thoughts," Bonnie added.
"Think of it as kind of a conditioned response, right? See vampire, kill vampire. What I'm doing is creating kind of a middle step. It's like a detour, where his subconscious learns to recognize you as someone he loves, someone he wants to protect. And that gives him a choice. He can choose to take the detour instead of the conditioned response," Shane explained further. He sat beside Jeremy and Audrey at the table and looked at Elena. "Okay. Talk to him. He'll listen,"
"I'm not sure what to say," Elena admitted.
"You chose to do this here at your family's vacation house, right? So maybe just start by telling him why," Shane said.
Elena nodded before looking at Jeremy again, "Every holiday, we came here. This place was family. And when mom and dad died, Jenna made us come here and we thought it was an awful idea, but it was like they were here with us," Audrey smiled sadly at the memory. Jeremy opened his eyes as Elena talked. "They would have wanted us to stick together, Jer. To fight for each other, no matter what,"
"Jeremy, how do you feel about Elena right now?" Shane asked cautiously.
"She ruined our lives. She's not even my real sister. She's just the reason that everyone I've ever loved has died. She means nothing to me. I will kill her even if that means I die myself," Jeremy replied coldly. Elena was taken back and hurt by his outburst. Shane quickly knocked on the table bringing Jeremy out of his trance. He looked at Shane once he was back to himself. "Did it work?" He asked. Nobody replied they all just looked disappointed. Audrey looked at Elena and offered her a comforting smile but she looked away still hurt.

After deciding to take a break, Elena and Damon headed for the docks while Audrey sat on the porch swing. She grabbed out her phone and dialed Klaus's number. He answered after the first ring. "Hello my love, how is everything going?" Klaus answered in a surprisingly cheery tone.
"Horribly, it didn't work and I don't know if it will," She sighed. "Klaus what do we do if it doesn't work? How are we supposed to be a family again?"
"I do not have that answer for you, love and I'm sorry," He sighed back. "Although the bond of family always prevails. Just look at my family,"

"Rebekah and Kol hate you and Elijah doesn't even talk to you anymore," Audrey said. "So that example sucks,"
"Rebekah and Kol do not hate me. They may be angry with me but give it a hundred years or so and they'll be over it. As for Elijah, both of us don't keep in contact not just him," Klaus defended.
"Wow you really do suck at comforting," Audrey groaned shaking her head at her soulmate.
"If I were there with you I'd be better at it," Klaus chuckled. "Which reminds me, why can't I be out there with you again? I know that Professor is out there and I don't trust him,"
"The whole point of being out here is to get Jeremy to not want to kill Elena for being a vampire. The last thing we need is more vampires around him. Besides, I may not trust Shane either, but he is trying to help us and I have to be grateful for it,"
"I understand, love. I'll see you whenever you return," She could tell there was something else bothering him by the tone of his voice.
"What's wrong?" She asked before he could hang up.
"Nothing, why do you ask?" He questioned.
"Klaus, I know there's something bothering you. This soulmate bond makes it easy to read your emotions,"
"I think there's something going on with my hybrids," Klaus sighed. "Something's not right but I can't quite figure it out," Audrey tensed because she knew exactly what was going on. She struggled with a battle raging inside her head. A part of her begged her to tell him about the hybrids being unsired to him while the other side of her told her not to, for it would put all of them in danger including Tyler.
"I don't know, but don't you think you've had enough fun with them? They may be sired to you but they're still people," Audrey said nervously. "Nobody deserves to be a slave,"
"Now you sound just like, Stefan," Klaus grumbled.
"I'm just saying-," She began but he cut her off.
"And I'm just saying that it's my business so let me deal with them on my own terms," Klaus snapped growing frustrated. Audrey was taken back but she knew it was just him lashing out from being angry.
"Okay. Fine," She huffed.
"Love-,"
"I'll see you later, bye," She hung up before he could say anymore. If he wanted to be a brat, fine, she'd let him. As she glanced at her phone she saw messages from Caroline that slightly worried her.
We need to talk.
Call me when you get the chance!
It's urgent!
Audrey was about to call her when Damon walking onto the porch stopped her. "What's up?" She asked him when she saw the look on his face.
"Why are they wasting time trying to get him to attach to Elena?" Damon questioned obviously before heading into the house. Audrey quickly followed.
"You okay? Shane wants to try again," Bonnie asked Jeremy as he sat on the couch.
"Survey says. Ehh. Professor Shane has been dipping into the magical herbs a little too much; if he thinks using a vampire to suppress the need to kill another one is gonna work on a Hunter. It's like dangling a cheeseburger in front of someone on a master cleanse. Just find someone else to attach your warm and fuzzy feelings to," Damon suggested glancing at Bonnie the entire time he spoke. "Gee I wonder who that could be,"
"You," Jeremy smiled at her.
"But what about, Audrey?" Bonnie asked growing flustered.
"I could work I mean Jer and I always know how to calm each other down but what if I can't always be with him. You two seem to always be together besides I trust you, Bonnie!" Audrey smiled. Bonnie looked at Jeremy who was smiling at her.
"Well, this isn't awkward at all. I'll be anywhere else," Damon said sarcastically before turning around to exit. Audrey smiled at her brother and friend before following Damon.
"Wow look at you coming up with smart ideas," Audrey teased as she caught up with Damon. He glanced over at her and shot her a smirk. "I'm so proud of you babe,"
"What can I say? I'm more than just a pretty face," Damon said before picking up the axe Jeremy was using to chop wood earlier. Audrey gave him a confused look but followed him as he walked towards Elena and Professor Shane. "If your hypno herbs work, we should be singing "Kumbaya" around the fire by dinner," Damon stated coming to a stop. "So now tell me why I'm not killing you?" Elena's eyes widened as she took a step towards Damon.
"Damon," Audrey warned.
"I'm serious. Why are you after the vampire cure?" Damon asked skeptically.
"I didn't say I was looking for the cure, but I can tell you where to find it," Shane answered.
"Klaus's sword will tell us where to find it," Damon said.
"The sword will lead you there, sure but so can I," Shane replied.
"What? How?" Audrey asked him shocked.
"Cause I've already been there," Elena, Damon, and Audrey all shared a look of shock.
-
Once it got dark out everyone migrated inside. Audrey sat on the couch with Elena and Damon while Bonnie and Jeremy sat in the kitchen, finishing the drawing of the tattoo Jeremy saw on himself and Connor.
"It's a rock," Damon stated obviously.
"It's not just any rock," Shane insisted.
"Hmm, so this silly little wives tale that you told at the occult exhibit?" Damon asked as he stood up from the couch and walked around to grab the nearest bottle of alcohol.
"Right, long story short. Once upon a time, there was a witch named Silas who loved a girl, who wanted to be with her forever, so he and his best friend, another witch, made an immortality spell and then Silas's best friend witch got jealous and killed Silas's girl before he had the chance to make her immortal. Well, cursed to an eternity without his one true love, Silas finds a way to reverse the immortality spell and then before he has the chance to take it, his former friend, buries him underground, leaving him and the cure to rot," Shane explained quickly.
"So it's a cure for immortality?" Elena questioned.
"Human blood is the life force of an immortal. No more immortality, no more need to feed on blood. You dig up Silas and you've got your cure," Shane said. Damon and Elena stared at him with shock, Audrey was skeptical. Something didn't seem right about all of this. Before she could say anything Jeremy had signaled that he was finished drawing. Everyone made their way over to the table. "This is the mark of the Brotherhood of the Five," He points to the mark that would be on Jeremy's hand. "And up the arm, you have the murder of a girl by a witch. The symbols in the vine are your map, which obviously, you no longer need. When this mark is complete, it will contain the spell we need to dig up Silas,"
"And where'd you say he was buried again? Oh I forgot, you didn't," Damon said with a sarcastic smile.
"You've threatened to kill me, what, like three times already this week?" Shane asked Damon who in turn smirked.
"Yeah, sounds about right," He nodded.
"The location is how I'm gonna survive your bad moods," Shane replied.
"And what's in it for you? If not the cure, then what?" Audrey questioned the Professor.
"I'm in this for Silas, all right? Up until this point he's only been a myth," Shane answered.
"So write a thesis," Damon scoffed.
"Would you rather be the guy who writes about Noah's Ark or the one who sails it down the Hudson River?" Shane questioned. He folded Jeremy's drawing up before handing it to Damon who had his palm open for it.
"I'm not buying it," Damon stated.
"You don't have to buy anything," Shane said before turning to look at Audrey and Elena. "You just have to believe that I can fix your brother. And when that Hunter's mark is complete, I'm gonna take you to the cure," Before anything else can be said Shane exits the room. Audrey still had an unsettling feeling in her stomach and walked outside to get some air. Damon noticing her behavior quickly followed. Once they reached a safe distance from the house she turned to look at him.
"I don't trust him, Damon. Something's not right," Audrey said running a hand through her hair. "I don't know what it is but I have this feeling in my gut not to trust him,"
"You and I are on the same page, little bird," Damon sighed. "It doesn't add up. Why go through all of this trouble to help us find a cure? And just to see if that Silas guy is real or not?"
"There has to be more to it and I'm not sure we're gonna like the consequences," Audrey huffed. She looked back at the house and felt the feeling in her stomach worsen. A wave of nausea hit her and she reached out to grip Damon's jacket sleeve for support. Damon quickly grabbed her waist to keep her up.
"Whoa, are you okay?" He asked worriedly.
"Yeah, I just felt sick for a moment. I'm good now," She lied mustering up her best smile. Damon didn't buy it and instead pressed his hand to her forehead. She didn't feel warm, which was a good sign. "See I told you I was all right,"
"You worry me sometimes, babe," Damon said with a frown. Audrey smiled genuinely this time, the feeling of sickness was slowly washing away. She cupped his right cheek gently, and reached up to kiss his left cheek. The kiss was so soft he almost didn't feel it.
"Thank you, Damon. For everything you do and for always having my back," She pulled away to look at his face.
"I don't deserve a lot of things in my life, Audrey. Your kindness is one of them, but I'm grateful every day that you show me it. You make me a better person," It was true. Damon never understood why through all of his bullshit, Audrey was the only one to never give up on him. He didn't deserve to have her in his life but he thanked God she was.
"You make yourself a better person, Damon. I just simply help time to time, but every good deed you've done you did it on your own. Sure I might've swayed your decision a time or two but in the end it was you making the choice. You are a good person, you were just lost for a while," Audrey stated strongly. Damon almost felt the rush of tears but he quickly stopped them. Instead he embraced his best friend tightly. He never had a friend like Audrey before and to him she was family. The little sister he never had but secretly always wanted.
-
Audrey was sitting beside the fireplace looking through old picture books when her phone began vibrating. She grabbed it out and saw that she had at least 20 messages from Caroline and about 15 missed calls. She read the messages first and what she read had her whole chest caving in.
AUDREY CALL ME NOW!!
I know you're spending time with Jeremy helping him but I need your help too!
The hybrids are planning their attack against Klaus tonight. I've tried stopping them but they won't listen. The only thing I've managed to do is convince them to put his essence in Rebekah's body until they can all flee. Please get back here now!
I don't know if they're gonna be able to pull it off
Please Aud I can't lose Tyler
Audrey immediately called Caroline back but her phone was off. She felt the sickness from earlier return. She was up in a second running around the lake house to gather all of her things. She was running through the kitchen when Damon stopped her. Once he saw the wild look in her eyes he knew something was terribly wrong.
"What happened?" He asked drawing the attention of everyone else.
"Caroline told me that the hybrids were planning their attack against Klaus. She's worried they won't pull it off and Klaus is going to kill them all including Tyler. I need to get back to Mystic Falls to stop him!" Audrey rushed out with panic. "I'm the only one he'll listen to, Damon. I-I need to leave!"
"Okay, okay," Damon cooed hoping to calm her down. "Everything's going to be okay,"
"I need to go!" She shouted pushing out of his arms. "Jeremy I'm sorry I can't stay,"
"Don't worry, Audrey. I understand," Jeremy smiled softly. He walked over to her and hugged her impossibly tight. "I love you,"

The year is 1959, and for its very first time, Welton Academy Boarding School is now accepting female students. Violet Ross is not only one of those girls, but the only girl in the graduating class. She feels as though she must face her fears entirely alone, until she comes across a quirky group of boys. Also known as The Dead Poets. Violet soon finds herself becoming rather close with one in particular..."I'm not entirely sure I even knew what constituted 'love,' until I had met him. Now the mere thought of him made me ache to be with him, to look at him, to touch him. I couldn't quite put my feelings into words. Even as I try, few seem to suffice. An entire sea of ink could not adequately describe my feelings towards him. It was almost as if all the stars in the sky were condensed into a single, twinkling one. The only words I felt could convey some of what I felt for him, easily fell from my lips. ' I love you, too.'"
