When Audrey woke up she was on a couch in a place that was unfamiliar. Elena was sitting beside her, biting her nails nervously. "Elena? Where are we?" Audrey asked as she sat up.

"Ah, hello Audrey," Pastor Young greeted. "Good to see you again,"

"What's going on?" Audrey asked him.

"Elena and I were just talking about how she used to want to be a writer. April still loves to write because of Elena," Pastor Young said casually.

"Why'd you bring us here?" Elena asked him.

"My deputies can watch out for us here. No vampires have been invited in. Look, girls, I know it sounds crazy, but years ago it was your parents who were advocating having an emergency plan like this. I never thought we'd have to actually use it," Pastor Young explained. Elena, hearing the soft ticking of a nearby clock, began to panic. Her senses were heightening. "Elena? Are you okay?"

"Where's Stefan?" Elena asked, ignoring his question.

"Where he can't hurt you. Either of you," Pastor Young turned back to the stove and began to cook something.

"He would never hurt us. You have no idea what you're talking about!" Elena argued.

"Well, I know wherever you go, Salvatore vampires seem to follow. You two hungry?" Pastor Young asked.

"No," Audrey muttered as Pastor Young pulled a tray from the fridge.

"So, we'll hold Stefan until Damon comes searching for you three. We'll use Rebekah to lure her siblings back into town. You'll give us the white oak stake and then we will exterminate the entire vampire race for good," He explained as he set a steak before the girls. Elena stared at it and began to breathe heavily. "Is something wrong Elena? Are you alright?" Audrey looked at her sister worriedly and saw that Elena was staring at the Pastor's neck.

"Yeah," She choked out. All of the sounds around her began to intensify and she was losing control. "No, I've got to get out of here!" She quickly stood up and ran out of the house. Audrey stood up too and began to follow her sister.

"Get them!" Pastor Young shouted from the porch. Elena was blinded by the sun and got distracted, leading an officer to hit her and knock her out.

"Elena!" Audrey screamed. One of the officers grabbed her and dragged her towards the house. "Elena!" The officer carrying Elena took her to the barn while the officer carrying Audrey brought her back to the house.

"What a shame. Your poor sister, a vampire," Pastor Young tsk'd. He looked at the other Gilbert and smiled. "Come, I'll show you our plan," Audrey was forced into a chair and held down.

"I won't help with whatever you're doing. Not when it involves killing my friends!" Audrey said angrily.

"Don't you see that vampires are evil?! Your aunt Jenna died by the hands of a vampire!" Pastor Young shouted trying to reason with her. "You almost died because of a vampire!"

"Would you kill April if she had somehow gotten turned?" Audrey questioned. "Would you kill your own daughter?" Pastor Young ignored her question and continued to cook his meal. "My best friend is a vampire and she doesn't drink from humans. She only drinks animal blood. Not all vampires are evil. Most can control their thirst,"

"Your parents would be so disappointed," Pastor Young growled shaking his head.

"My parents would still love us regardless of who we were!" Audrey said.

"Lies!" Pastor Young screamed. "Miranda and Grayson would kill you on the spot. Vampires deserve to die! They are the devil's children spawned straight from hell!" Audrey was taken back by his demeanor. She had never seen Pastor Young like this.

"Yoo-hoo! Anybody home? Big bad vampire out here!" Damon shouted from outside. Hearing his voice had Audrey's adrenaline pumping. She quickly elbowed the officer holding her down and sprinted for the door.

"DAMON!" She screamed when she stepped outside.

"Audrey!" He shouted back. She was about to make a break for it but she was grabbed before she could. Pastor Young held Audrey back as he looked at Damon. He saw that the Salvatore had Matt with him and Matt was bleeding profusely.

"Let him go! The boy's innocent," Pastor Young shouted.

"Well, that's the point. Give me Audrey, Elena, and Stefan and he's all yours," Damon argued back. "Come on, Pastor. You know I'll kill him. I want to kill him!"

"Go away! You're not invited and I'm not coming out!" Pastor Young yelled as he dragged Audrey back inside.

"Damon! Help me!" She screamed as she struggled against the Pastor. Damon was about to run after her but was shot in the chest and fell to the ground. Pastor Young pulled Audrey back inside the house and threw her on a chair. The cop she elbowed was up now and held her down with more force.

"Don't you see! I'm trying to help you!" Pastor Young said as he tied her down to the chair.

"I don't want to be helped! I'm fine the way I am! Please stop this and let me go!" She shouted beginning to tear up now. "Please. I haven't even done anything,"

"You've sympathized with vampires," Pastor Young spat. "You even fell in love with the worst one of them all," Audrey's eyes widened. "Alaric informed us on everything. Tell me, how are you alive? Is it because, Klaus isn't really dead?"

"Of course he's dead! He'd be here right now if he wasn't," Audrey said. Pastor Young shook his head and grabbed a knife. "What are you doing?"

"I need all of the vampires to be dead. If you're the link to killing Klaus, then you need to die. I'm sorry Audrey. I truly am," Pastor Young said with fake sincere.

"No. No!" Audrey shouted squirming in her seat. "No! Don't do this!"

"Shh..it'll be over soon," Pastor Young insisted. He brought the knife up to her throat but before he could do anything, the door burst open.

"Drop the knife!" Matt shouted as he pointed his gun at Pastor Young. The officer in the room immediately raised his gun but Matt killed him before he could shoot. "Drop it now!" Pastor Young slowly dropped the knife and stepped back from Audrey. Matt stormed into the house and made sure to keep his gun on the Pastor as he untied Audrey. "Come on Audrey, we're going," Matt helped Audrey up and walked them to the front door. As they stepped out she saw Damon waiting for her. She made an instant sprint for him and jumped into his arms the moment she got to him.

"Hey little bird," Damon chuckled.

"I'm so glad you're here," Audrey sighed. Damon squeezed her tightly and buried his face into her hair.

"I'm glad I'm here too," He whispered.

"Really, love? I'm actually a little jealous," A voice called out. Audrey's whole body stiffened with shock. Damon was shocked too but held it together better. Slowly, she let Damon go and turned around. Klaus stood before them in all of his glory. He looked perfectly untouched.

"Klaus?" Audrey asked with disbelief. "You're...you're really here?"

"Yes, love," Klaus smirked. "I'm really here," Audrey took one unsure step towards him before running for him. She jumped into his arms passionately, crying as she did so. Klaus lifted her into his arms and held her too him tightly. The moment they touched, the familiar sparks erupted between them. His smell was engulfing her and she felt like she was on cloud nine.

"I can't believe you're alive," Audrey cried, burying her face into his neck. Klaus kissed her head as a reply and looked at Damon.

"I'm taking her with me," He called out.

"Alright. Hey, thanks for showing up last minute by the way!" Damon said.

"Shut up," Klaus replied before speeding back to his mansion. As he stepped into his room he walked over to his bed and carefully sat down with Audrey still in his arms. "Love?"

"I've been going crazy," Audrey sniffled. She pulled away slowly and wiped away her tears. "I thought you died,"

"I know, darling. I'm so sorry for making you worry," Klaus apologized. He cupped her face and smiled softly. "I told you I had a plan B,"

"I hate you so much for putting me through this," Audrey laughed through her sniffling. "But I'm so happy you're alive,"

"Me too," Klaus said. Audrey smiled before kissing him softly. She almost forgot how good it felt to kiss Klaus. When she pulled back her breathing was a little erratic and as their eyes met she felt the familiar flame spark between them. When their lips met again, it was more heated then before. Klaus pulled her closer and kissed her until her breath was gone. Like always, they got lost in each other. Klaus trailed his hands up and down Audrey's waist, slightly lifting her shirt. When she didn't show signs of resisting him, he gently pulled her shirt over her head. Audrey tugged on his hair and moved her body against his sensually. In a flash, Klaus had her on her back. He pulled back from her to take off his shirt and it was then she let the words slip.

"I love you," She whispered.
