"Kol! Knock it off you crazy lunatic!" Audrey growled at the Original. "I don't even know why you're here! I know Klaus told you to leave Jeremy alone," Kol smirked and smacked Damon with the bat again.

"True, but he called me and told me that I have to protect you now," Kol chuckled. "Besides, I've wanted to get my revenge on this smug bastard ever since the night of the ball," Audrey was too shocked by his words to come up with something smart to spat back. Kol went to hit Damon again but Damon reacted quickly and grabbed the broken wooden bat, stabbing Kol in the chest with it. Kol with to the ground with a loud thud.

"Did you kill him?" Jeremy asked cautiously.

"No, but it'll give us a head start. Okay, come on," Damon groaned grabbing Elena. Jeremy grabbed Audrey and together all four of them fled from the park. As they drove to the motel outside of town Jeremy broke the silence.

"Why did Kol say that Klaus wanted him there to protect you?" Jeremy asked his sister. Audrey blinked and thought of a way to answer his question.

"Um...well you see, Klaus and I are sort of together," The moment she said it she wanted to facepalm.

"What?!" Jeremy screamed.

"When I was born, Esther, Klaus's mother, linked mine and Klaus's souls. I was literally created for the sole purpose of being with Klaus and changing him. I represent his humanity I guess," Audrey explained. "I know it sounds bad but there's nothing I can do about it,"

Jeremy was quiet for a moment before responding. "So, you have to be with him,"

"Basically," Audrey grumbled. "But right now I want nothing to do with him. He was using your life as leverage over our friends. Can you believe that? Not to mention he tried using our soulmate bond to justify it,"

"It's Klaus. What did you expect?" Damon questioned from the driver's seat.

"You didn't see the side of him that I saw. I really thought he would change," Audrey mumbled.

"Hopefully he does," Jeremy chimed in. "Do you realize how amazing it would be if Klaus left all of us alone because he's so in love with our sister?" Audrey smiled at her brother's enthusiasm. "We would finally be free,"

"I never thought of it like that," Elena sighed.

"Of course you didn't," Audrey stated, rolling her eyes. Though she said she forgave her sister, she still harbored some hurt feelings.

"It does solve the whole, if Klaus dies you die," Damon chuckled.

"It took you two this long to realize this?" Audrey asked. "Hats off to the two geniuses in the front!"

"Audrey," Elena huffed with defeat. "We already apologized," Audrey scoffed quietly and leaned back in her seat. Jeremy patted his sister's back and offered her a smile. Once all of them reached the hotel they rushed to unpack.

"For the record, she's the one who wanted to stay in a motel, not me," Damon said motioning towards Elena as they walked into the room.

"So, where are we?" Jeremy asked curiously.

"The corner of somewhere and nowhere. Kol won't be able to find us here," Damon answered with a sarcastic smile.

"I can't believe Kol was a vampire," Jeremy muttered, still in shock.

"Well, didn't you find it weird that you made a friend so fast? Have you met you?" Damon questioned earning a smack from Audrey.

"Not helping," The human girl growled out.

"Well this should work, right, Jer?" Elena asked, referring to the room.

"Yeah, doesn't really matter," Jeremy grumbled out.

"Alright, Whoopi, what do you need?" Damon asked as he closed the curtains. "Candles? Incense? Pottery wheel?"

"You know that's not how it works," Jeremy huffed with an eye roll.

"I know, I know," Damon sighed. "It's all about the push from the other side and the pull from this one,"

Jeremy nodded and scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Alright, you uh-you got a picture of her?" Jeremy asked awkwardly.

"Picture? What, a trip to Disneyland? Come on Rose, you're not gonna actually make us wait, are you? I know you're obsessed with me," Damon called out to no one. Audrey rolled her eyes at him and faked a gag of disgust.

"All right, uh- tell me something about her," Jeremy stated uncomfortably. Damon sat down on one of the beds and brought his hand to his chin like he was thinking hard.

"She spent her last day in paradise. Soaking in the sun and reminiscing about what it means to be human. And when death came, she didn't fear it," Damon explained, his eyes glinting at the sad memory.

"I was with her on her last day and she definitely wasn't in paradise," Elena pointed out.

"It was in the dream he gave her. She's here," Jeremy announced, genuinely shocked. Damon looked around even though he knew he wouldn't be able to see her.

"Is she lonely on the other side?" Audrey asked her brother cautiously. Rose smiled at the young human, she had always admired her. She even envied her at a time.

"No, I enjoy it. I was running so much when I was alive, now I have the freedom to do whatever I want," Rose answered.

"She says not to worry, she's happy," Jeremy said for Rose.

"Is she still hot?" Damon smirked. Rose smirked back at him, though he couldn't see it.

"Tell him he's still dripping with sex too," She giggled. Jeremy glared at the dead vampire so she sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine, tell him I miss him,"

"She missed you," Jeremy said to Damon.

"And tell him I'm rooting for him and Elena. I used to root for him and Audrey and I still do, but that poor girl is going to be stuck with Klaus for the rest of her life. He'd kill Damon if he tried anything on her," Rose explained with disappointment.

"She um-misses all of you," Jeremy stated instead.

"Unfortunately, I don't have any news on the siring front. Klaus didn't sire me. No Original did. It was Mary Porter," Rose sighed.

"She was sired by someone named Mary Porter," Jeremy said to the group.

"Uh, Scary Mary? Well, where is she Rose?" Damon questioned.

"I didn't keep track of her when I was alive, much less now. Tell him to sit tight, relax. I'll see what I can find," Rose said before disappearing. Jeremy relayed her message to everyone and leaned back on the couch with exhaustion. Today had already been a stressful day. Audrey left out a long sigh and felt her phone buzzing in her pocket. She pulled it out to see Elijah calling her. She answered his call with a confused expression.

"Elijah?" Audrey asked.

"So you answer my brother's phone calls but not mine. I must say love, I'm hurt," Klaus sneered on the other end.

"Why am I not surprised?" Audrey groaned. "If you think you've been forgiven yet, you have a very rude awakening coming,"

"I know I'm not forgiven yet love, I just needed to hear your voice," Klaus admitted, much to Audrey's surprise. "I've been going mad without you,"

"Well, you'll just have to suck it up," Audrey growled. "Threatening my little brother's life was crossing the line, Niklaus,"

"Is it strange that I find you saying my full name to be a big turn on?" Klaus questioned hoping it'd defuse her mood.

"I'm hanging up," Audrey stated with seriousness.

"No! Wait!" Klaus begged. Audrey sighed and stayed on the phone. "I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry for being an asshole. I tend to push people away when they get too close to me,"

"Well work on it, hybrid boy! Because I'm not spending the rest of eternity with you if you're constantly pulling shit like this. Now that we're soulmates, we have to act like it. You need to start treating my friends and family better, and I'll tell them to do the same," Audrey lectured. Klaus remained quiet because he simply had no words to say. "I really want to work on this Klaus, but it can't be one sided. You have to try too,"

"Okay," It was a simple reply but the way he said it held much more emotion. Audrey could tell that she really had got to him. "But just so we're clear. I'm not stopping until they stop,"

"Fine. Fair enough," Audrey groaned out with frustration.

"When are you coming back?" Klaus desperately wanted to know. He had plans of wooing his soulmate until it was impossible for her to be mad at him.

"I don't know," Audrey replied. "Why?"

"No reason," Klaus answered quickly. "I've got to go deal with something. I'll call you later, alright love?"

"Alright," Audrey hummed. When they hung up she couldn't help the small smile making it's way onto her lips. Damon, Elena, and Jeremy all stared at her in shock. Damon heard all of it while Elena and Jeremy only heard Audrey's side. "What?"

"Trouble in paradise?" Damon asked with a raised brow.

"Shut up," Audrey moaned, throwing a pillow at her friend. Damon smirked and opened his mouth to respond but his phone going off cut him off. He quickly stood up when he saw who it was and made his way outside to answer it.

"So is Klaus trying to win you back?" Jeremy teased his sister.

"Yes, and sadly it's working," Audrey sighed. "This damn soulmate bond makes it hard to stay mad at him,"

"What else do you feel?" Elena abruptly asked. "I mean through the soulmate bond,"

"Whenever I'm around him, I feel whole. Every time he touches me it's like a million jolts of electricity run through my body. And when we're apart all I want to do is be with him. It's sick really. It's almost like we're becoming infatuated with each other," Audrey laughed at herself, shaking her head.

"Do you...do you love him?" Elena questioned hesitantly.

"Not yet, but I think I'm starting to," Audrey answered truthfully. "Don't tell him that though. His ego is already big enough,"

Later that night everyone had laid down to rest. Jeremy and Audrey shared one bed, while Elena and Damon shared the other. Audrey had been drifting in and out of sleep, but when Jeremy jolted awake she was up like a lightening bolt. "What is it?"

"Rose is back and she scared the shit out of me," Jeremy mumbled with annoyance. He looked over at the bed that Damon and Elena were suppose to be in, but neither of them were there. "Where are they?"

"Probably outside or something," Audrey yawned. "Come on, let's go find them," The two siblings got out of bed begrudgingly and stepped two feet out the motel door to see their sister making out with the sarcastic vampire. "I'm way too tired for this," Audrey mumbled, causing Elena and Damon to jump away from each other.

"Oh my god, Jeremy. Audrey, I...," The older Gilbert trailed off, not knowing what to say.

"Rose found Mary. She lives in Kansas," Jeremy spat out.

"Okay then. Let's go," Damon muttered, pushing past the two siblings and into the hotel room. It was dead silent as all three Gilbert's stared at each other.

"Well this is awkward, isn't it?" An accented voice snickered. Everyone jumped as Klaus made his appearance known.

"Holy crap you freaking stalker!" Audrey shouted, her heart still pounding in her chest. "You scared the shit out of me!"

"I'm sorry my love," Klaus smirked. "I only wanted to surprise you,"

"Klaus, I was going to be back in Mystic Falls by tomorrow. You couldn't wait until then?" Audrey sassed as her soulmate walked over to the trio. Jeremy and Elena both took a step back from Klaus, while Audrey stayed put with her hands firmly on her hips.

"Nope. I was convinced that I was going to die if I was not with you for another moment," Klaus sighed sarcastically. Audrey smirked and felt her heart flutter as he stopped right in front of her. He reached out and cupped the side of her face. "I've missed you,"

"It hasn't even been two days," Audrey whispered in a trance. Klaus's hypnotic blue eyes were captivating her like they always did.

"It felt a lot longer," Klaus said softly. "Come back with me? I want to prove how much you mean to me, Audrey," She was so lost in his eyes that she didn't even notice her head nodding yes. Klaus smiled triumphantly and swept his mate off her feet. Once she was situated in his arms he noticed the black short shorts and black camisole she wore to sleep in. His eyes couldn't help but take in her delectable body.

"You guys don't mind right?" Audrey asked her siblings.

"N-No," Elena stuttered out, still scared of the hybrid in front of her. "Y-You guys go ahead,"

"Gladly," Klaus mumbled, not bothering to hide his disgust for the doppelgänger. Before, Audrey could even say goodbye to her siblings, Klaus had ran off. She curled into his chest while he ran at the speed of light. She knew she should still be seething at him, but it felt right to be in his arms again. That was something she could never deny.
