Today was going to be a good day, Audrey could feel it. She was in a great mood and as she cooked breakfast, she sang and danced around. Klaus was secretly watching her from the dining room, finding her behavior entertaining. "Tell me when it kicks in," Audrey sang along with Ed Sheeran. That ginger was definitely a God when it came music. She was so caught up in her own little world she didn't even notice Klaus sneaking up behind her. His hands grabbed her waist and quickly turned her to face him. Shock and confusion spread across her face but once she saw it was Klaus she smiled. "Good morning!"

"Morning," He smirked. "I still haven't claimed my prize from the other night ya know," He leaned closer to her and brushed his lips against hers.

"Y-Yeah?" She stuttered out nervously. "Maybe we should fix that,"

"I wholeheartedly agree," Klaus smiled before smashing his lips against hers. This wasn't exactly how Audrey expected her morning to go but she wasn't complaining. Kissing Klaus was becoming easier than breathing. Their kiss was becoming more hungry by the second. Klaus lifted Audrey onto the counter and stepped between her legs. Klaus's lips trailed down to her neck where he felt her blood moving through her veins. Without him knowing, his fangs descended. Just imagining her sweet blood had his mouth watering.

"Klaus!" Audrey moaned loudly, drawing his attention away from her tempting blood. His lips went back up to her mouth where he dominated her in every way. Her hands tangled in his hair and she pulled him closer. Klaus grinded his hips into hers and smirked when she let out a small sigh of pleasure. He wanted to hear that sound for the rest of his immortal life.

"This is so not what I wanted to wake up to," Rebekah sneered as she walked into the kitchen. Klaus pulled back from Audrey and glared at his younger sister.

"Don't you have someone else to bother?" Klaus growled. Audrey giggled at him and leaned up to plant kisses along his jaw. She had no idea where the act of affection came from but it felt right.

"Is this how you two are going to be now? Making out everywhere?" Rebekah asked with a smirk. She knew she was getting on her brother's nerves.

"Yeah and we'll make sure we only do it when you're around if you don't leave us alone," Klaus threatened causing Rebekah to roll her eyes dramatically.

"Ugh fine," She sighed. "Oh! Don't forget to get Finn today!" She shouted as she exited the room. Audrey frowned with confusion.

"Why do you need to grab Finn?" Audrey asked.

"Damon and Stefan found white oak stakes and since me and my siblings are all still connected I need to find Finn before he gets us killed," Klaus explained. Audrey's heart completely fell out of her chest.

"Wh-What?" Audrey felt like her whole world was shattering. Why won't her friends just stop?

"I promise I'm going to fix this," Klaus assured her. Audrey was still trapped in her thoughts when she nodded her head. "Shit, I better get going. Love, by tonight all of this will be over with," He kissed her lips one more time before leaving. Audrey had finally snapped out of her shocked state and anger fumed within her. She didn't even bother getting dressed before jumping in her car and speeding to her house. As expected, the Salvatore duo were there. Audrey stormed into the house in an angry fit and she had fire in her eyes.

"Why are you trying to ruin my life and possibly end it?!" She screamed at her sister and two former friends. "Did it not process through your thick skulls that if Klaus goes so do I? Or is this all some sort of plot to save precious Elena from God only knows what? Well newsflash people, Klaus isn't going to harm any of you because of me! I swear, you three are the dumbest group of people I have ever met!"

"Aud-," Damon began.

"Shut up, I'm talking," She snapped viciously. "You," She growled pointing at her sister. "You have been making my life a living hell because you're not getting what you want. Stop acting like a spoiled little brat and grow the fuck up. I'm sick of everyone acting like nothing is ever your fault when everything's your fault! I never said this before but you're the reason everything bad happens in this God forsaken town! I never blamed you for it either because sisters don't do that, but you showed me we weren't sisters the minute you turned your back on me over one little thing I can't even control!" Audrey shouted angrily. "And Damon, stop catering to every need of hers. She's leading you on because she knows she can! And Stefan, stop fucking pouting! Like we get it, you went bat shit crazy, but no one even cares anymore because everyone in this town has a rebound rate of like 2 seconds! Now I'm done explaining myself to all of you because I shouldn't have to in the first place. You should have all been understanding of this but instead you weren't. Klaus is my soulmate. No matter how hard you try that's not going to change. Me and him are going to end up together whether you like it or not. So fucking deal with it," No one said a word as Audrey Gilbert stormed out of her house. Elena, Damon, and Stefan sat awestruck by their friend's outburst. And as much as all of them hated to admit it, they were wrong.

"I swear to God Caroline, it's like they want me dead," Audrey groaned as she stuffed her face with ice cream. "I mean, what part of soulmates do they not get?"

"They're all just stupid assholes. They all like to point out everyone's mistakes but not their own," Caroline answered with a sad sigh. "Give it another week and they'll be over it,"

"I'm not forgiving them until they all apologize to me and mean it," Audrey grumbled. "It's always been me to apologize and never them,"

"Right? Elena only apologizes if she absolutely has to," Caroline gave an eye roll. "So, how are you and lover boy?"

"Jesus, I can't even explain what's going on between us," Audrey laughed. "We're getting more comfortable with each other now. Last night, after I punched Damon, he took me back to his house and healed me and said this thing about me basically being a good person and I don't know, it was really sweet. I'm bringing out a side of him no one thought they'd ever see," Audrey was scarlet red by now and Caroline smiled at her.

"Awe! That's so cute!" She squealed. "Team Klaudrey for life,"

"Oh my god, shut up," Audrey giggled. "I think I'm going to take a long drive today and forget about everything. Maybe even call Jer,"

"That sounds like a splendid idea. Then when you get home tonight, take a long hot bath," Caroline suggested. "Ugh, a bath sounds so freaking nice right now,"

"A hot bath with those bath salts and music playing," Audrey added. Caroline groaned with pleasure just thinking about it.

"Hey, maybe Casanova can join you and make it extra steamy," Caroline winked. Audrey shoved her friend and tried to hide her blush. "Oh, I forgot. Your virgin ears are too innocent to hear that," Audrey sank in her chair and huffed. After about another hour of talking to her friend, Audrey eventually left. She planned on driving for at least a hour, maybe even two. She really just needed to relax. When she was an hour outside of Mystic Falls she pulled out her phone and called her little brother.

"Hello?" Jeremy's deep voice answered.

"Jer! How's it going baby bro?" Audrey asked excitedly. She heard her brother chuckle on the other end and her heart immediately fluttered. Jeremy has always been Audrey's biggest weak spot.

"I'm doing good. It's really nice out here, Aud. You'd love it," Jeremy sighed. Audrey's throat tightened and water gathered in her eyes.

"I'm sure I would, Jer. Maybe I'll take a spontaneous road trip and come visit you. I need a getaway," Audrey laughed breathlessly. "It's so good to hear your voice. I miss you like crazy,"

"I miss you too," Jeremy mumbled. Audrey heard a sniffle and knew her baby brother was crying.

"Jer, don't cry! If you cry I'll cry," Too late. She already was.

"I didn't know how much I missed you until now," Jeremy choked out.

"I'm coming to see you as soon as I can, I promise Jeremy," Audrey whimpered. She resented Elena so much for sending Jeremy away. "We can stay up all night watching superhero movies and playing Call of Duty,"

"Please," Jeremy scoffed while letting out another sniffle. "I'd kick your ass all night long,"

"You wish baby brother," Audrey laughed. "I totally schooled you last time we played,"

"It was beginners luck!" He protested. The mood was finally lightening up. They sat in silence for a few moments and just as Audrey was going to say something he phone began beeping. She was getting another call. She saw it was Caroline and ignored the call. She would call her friend back later.

"So, how is school?" Audrey asked with a slightly chuckle.

"School sucks as usual," Jeremy groaned. "There's these assholes in my chemistry class that always-," He was cut off by beeping. Caroline was again trying to contact Audrey. "Is someone else trying to call you?"

"Yeah, but it's just Caroline," Audrey answered pressing ignore on the call. "Anyways, go on,"

"Oh yeah, so these guys always try to show off and what not and the other day they were tossing around a football so I grabbed it and threw it back hitting one of them in the face. It was definitely worth a detention," Jeremy explained enthusiastically.

"I should be mad about you getting a detention but I'm not!" Audrey laughed. "Nice one baby bro-oh my god, Caroline!" Audrey groaned seeing that her friend was calling her again. "Hey Jer, I'm going to answer her call. I'll call you back in a minute,"

"Okay," Jeremy chuckled. Audrey smiled and answered Caroline's call.

"Why the hell weren't you answering your phone?!" Caroline shouted worriedly.

"Sorry! I was on the phone with Jeremy!" Audrey explained. "Why, what's wrong?"

"Klaus is threatening Jeremy's life. He has Kol watching him in Colorado and says he'll have him kill Jer if Bonnie doesn't unlink Klaus and all of his siblings," Caroline explained quickly.

"No. That doesn't make sense! Why would he do this?" Audrey asked with disbelief. "He's probably just bluffing,"

"I'm sorry Aud, but he showed Bonnie a picture of Jeremy in Denver," Caroline sighed.

"No, he's lying! I'll call Jeremy right now and ask if he's seen Kol," Audrey stated. "I'll call you back in a second," Before Caroline could protest, Audrey hung up and dialed her brother's phone number.

"That was quick," He laughed when he answered his phone. "What did Care want?"

"Oh uh nothing important," Audrey rushed out. "So have you made any new friends?"

"Yeah! Actually, this new guy just moved here and he's pretty cool," Jeremy explained. "His name is Kol," And just like that, Audrey's heart shattered.

"K-Kol?" She stuttered out.

"Yeah. He showed me how to steal alcohol," Jeremy chuckled. "Wait-shit just kidding," Audrey didn't care about what he said though, all she could think about was the fact that her soulmate is using her brother as leverage. She quickly did a u-turn and began speeding back to Mystic Falls.

"Jer, I gotta go deal with something really quick. I'll call you tomorrow. I love you so much, okay?" She smiled slightly when she heard her brother's sigh of happiness.

"Alright. I love you too," The moment she hung up her phone she threw it on the passenger seat. Audrey Gilbert was a woman on a mission. A mission to kill her soulmate.

-

Klaus watched with amusement as he burned the stakes Stefan left him. Not only did he have Bonnie undo his mother's spell but he also destroyed the weapons that could kill him and the rest of his family. He has just thrown the last stake into the fire when his stunning soulmate waltzed through the door. "Hello love!" Instead of greeting him back, Audrey glared furiously at him. Once she was standing in front of him she pointed a finger into his chest.

"How dare you!" She screamed. "You're having Kol watch over my brother and threatening to kill him?!" Klaus's face instantly paled.

"No! It's-uh it's not like that!" Klaus lied but Audrey easily saw right through him.

"I trusted you! I defended you to everyone and lost friends over it! You promised me you wouldn't hurt anyone that I cared about, but obviously that was a lie," By now she was crying, and honestly she was getting tired of constantly doing that. "How could you do this, Klaus?!"

"Audrey, I-," Klaus tried to reason but she shook her head and cut him off.

"I never should've believed you," She cried. "All this time you had me fooled because of our bond. You even had me falling for you!" Klaus swallowed hard. He was in deep shit. Audrey let out a sarcastic laugh through her tears. "I guess this is what I deserve for ever thinking that we could actually work," Klaus watched as she turned and walked away. Every fiber of his being screamed at him to go after her but he was glued to his spot. When she slammed the front door shut he jumped but still made no movement to rush after his broken mate. Why wasn't he trying to fix things? Because he doesn't fix things, he destroys them.

"You did the one thing I told you not to do, Niklaus," Elijah's voice tskd. "You self destructed" Klaus ignored his brother but he couldn't ignore the stinging in his eyes. He had never cried over a girl before, but Audrey wasn't just some girl. "You're not even going after her? I thought you were noble, brother," Klaus clenched his teeth and looked at Elijah through his angry tears. "You don't deserve her," Those words haunted him to his core. He didn't deserve her and he never will.
