《Sinful |Klaus Mikaelson||》Soulmates Or...Whatever

"Uh, if everyone could gather, please," Elijah announced, capturing everyone's attention. Audrey looked up to see all of the Mikaelson's lined up on the grand staircase. "Welcome, thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance," Elijah went on. "Tonight's pick is a centuries old waltz, so if all of you could please find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom," Everyone started to move towards the ballroom. Audrey was staggering behind everyone when Stefan approached her.
"Care to dance?" He asked sincerely. She cocked an eyebrow at him.
"You tried to kill me," Audrey answered. Stefan smirked and was ready to reply to her, but got cut off.
"Audrey, love," Klaus stated as he sauntered over to the duo. She turned to face him and blushed immediately. "You did say you'd save me a dance," Even though he said this quietly, Stefan still heard the hybrid. Audrey's blush worsened and she nodded at him. Klaus held out his arm for her which she took hesitantly. He led Audrey into the ballroom and lined up with the other couples. As the music began, so did the dance.
"You can't say things to me in front of Stefan or Damon or anyone else, okay? Until we find out everything I'm not telling anyone, and neither will you," Audrey stated as they moved to the music.
"I like a woman who is demanding," Klaus flirted, knowing it'd get on her nerves. Audrey blushed and looked away from him. "Did I tell you how ravishing you look tonight? Or that your dance moves are spectacular?"
"No, and thank you. I have been in Miss Mystic Falls since I was 14," Audrey chuckled. "I've never won, but we always had to take ballroom dance lessons,"
"How did the most stunning girl in all of Mystic Falls not win?" Klaus asked as he twirled her in his arms.
"Okay, seriously? Stop with the ass kissing," Audrey answered. "It's annoying and slightly creepy," Klaus only smirked before twirling her into Matt Donovan's arms.
"Audrey Elizabeth, you look amazing tonight," Matt complimented as the young girl landed in his arms. She smiled up at her friend and shook her head.
"Matthew James, you're the most handsome man in the ballroom," Audrey responded. "Don't tell Damon I told you that," She winked playfully. He laughed and danced with her.
"So why are you here with Klaus?" Matt asked as they spun around the ballroom.
"Well actually, I came here with Damon," Audrey replied. Matt gave her a pointed look so she rolled her eyes at him and sighed dramatically. "It's a long, very long, complicated story. Why are you here with Rebekah?"
"She asked, so I said yes," Matt answered with a small shrug.
"Of course you would. You're too much of a gentlemen," Audrey giggled at her friend. Matt smiled down at her and dipped her as the song ended. When he pulled her back up they were still close.

"Why did we never get together?" Matt asked curiously.
"Because you were in love with my sister and then my best friend," Audrey smirked. "Besides, we got a taste of each other already, remember?" Matt laughed and nodded at the drunken memory. Audrey laughed with him but when her eyes trailed over to Klaus, her laughter died. He was looking at her passionately and it made her stomach flip. Audrey quickly excused herself from her friend and left to find something to drink. Her throat was suddenly parched. On her quest to find a beverage Audrey ran into Rebekah and Kol.
"My, my, you're stunning," Kol charmed as Audrey walked up to him. He grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips.
"Oh my god, stop being disgusting," Rebekah sneered to her older brother. "Auds, how are you this evening?" Rebekah smiled as she brought her friend into a hug, kissing her cheeks.
"I'm wonderful, thanks for asking," Audrey giggled to her friend. When she looked at Kol again she saw him with the same mischievous look Klaus gets. "You must be the little brother, right?" Kol's face dropped to a frown.
"My name is Kol," He growled defensively. Audrey smirked at the younger brother and glanced at Rebekah to see she was doing the same. "Now I can see why mother made you Niklaus's soulmate," Everything in Audrey's body froze. Now it was Kol's turn to smirk. "Oh, I forgot. You're suppose to resent him for the things he's done to you, yet you can't. You hate yourself for loving him," Audrey was still in shock and for a moment she thought her heart stopped. "Trust me, you're the not the first person to feel that way," Kol's eyes trailed to Rebekah who was looking down. Audrey finally snapped out of it and blinked her tears back. She looked at the two Mikaelson siblings one last time before racing out of the room. When she reached the outside it was as if she could breathe again. She was faced with the reality of the situation tonight and it was like her whole world was crashing on her. A soft neighing sound startled her and when she turned to see horses she calmed herself.
"You like horses?" A familiar voice asked. Audrey's body set fire when he got close to her and she knew it would always be like this.
"I'm not talking to you," She grumbled. Klaus chuckled at her.
"Why? What have I done now?" Klaus questioned playfully.
"Your family keeps bringing up that we're soulmates!" Audrey shouted. "And I'm not ready to accept that! Or maybe I am, I don't know! All I know is that a couple days ago my world got flipped upside down and I had to roll over and accept it!" Audrey sighed with frustration. Klaus smirked at her because even though she was freaking out she was still stunning to him. "Why do you look so smug?!"

"Why are you freaking out? What happened?" Klaus asked. Audrey crossed her arms over her chest and silently cursed him for knowing her better than she thought. "I could force it out of you, yanno," He chuckled at her. She narrowed her eyes at him, attempting to intimidate him but it didn't work. Eventually, she gave up.
"Kol said something and it bothered me," Audrey sighed. Klaus's face immediately hardened at the mention of his little brother. Of course he'd be up to something.
"What did he say?" Klaus asked, stopping himself from growling it out.
"He said...that I should resent you and that I hate myself for loving you," Audrey admitted. "It just got to me," It took everything in Klaus to not go back inside and kill his younger brother.
"Kol is an idiot and you shouldn't listen to anything he says," Klaus grumbled. "Believe me, he will do anything to get a rise out of anyone. It's like his main goal in life," Audrey glanced at Klaus and cracked a smile. She went back to looking at the horses so Klaus joined her. "You know, horses are the opposite of people. They're loyal. My father hunted me for a thousand years and the closest he ever came was the day he killed my favorite horse. He severed its neck with a sword as a warning,"
"No offense, but your dad was a dick," Audrey joked. Klaus laughed and nodded in agreement. "Homecoming night when he took me hostage, I caught a glimpse into your life. I don't know what it would be like to have a father like that, and I'm sorry you did,"
"It's fine," Klaus smiled. Audrey smiled back at him.

Audrey was sipping from her drink when a clinking sound caught her attention. She looked up to see Esther beginning a toast. "Good evening. Ladies and gentlemen. Waiters are coming around with champagne. I invite you all to join me in raising a glass. It provides me with no greater joy than to see my family back together as one. I'd like to thank you all for being part of this spectacular evening. Cheers!" After everyone got a glass they raised them up with the witch.
"Cheers!" The room yelled. Audrey chugged down both her drinks and searched the room for her soulmate. When she found him he was coming towards her.
"Your mom knows how to throw a party," Audrey said playfully as Klaus approached her. He ignored her remark and took her hand.
"Come on, I want to show you something," Klaus said, pulling her away before she even had the chance to reply. Audrey laughed as Klaus dragged her down hallways until they reached a room. A big painting hung on the wall while sketches were piled in front of it. Audrey was amazed.
"Oh my god," She breathed out as she stepped forward. When she moved she became hyper aware of the fact that they were holding hands. Audrey quickly pulled her hand away and tried to hide her blush. "What is all of this?"
"One of my passions," Klaus answered while staring at her.
"Oh. Impressive. I take it the curators at the Louvre aren't on vervain?" Audrey teased.
"Yeah, well that's their problem," Klaus chuckled, playing along with her.
"What about this? Where'd you steal this from?" Audrey asked as she held up her bracelet.
"Well, that's a long story. But rest assured it was a worn by a princess almost as beautiful as you," Klaus answered with a smirk. Audrey blushed again but rolled her eyes too. As she looked back at the sketches she noticed some were half drawn.
"Whoa, did you draw these?" Audrey asked as she held up one of the drawings.
"Yeah, um... actually one of my landscapes is hanging at the Hermitage, not that anyone would notice. Have you been?" Klaus asked, stepping forward to stand beside her.
"I've never really been anywhere," Audrey admitted, still admiring his art.
"I'll take you. Wherever you want. Rome, Paris, Tokyo," Klaus laughed which made Audrey laugh.
"Oh wow!" She exclaimed. She was still looking through his sketches when one jumped out at her. "Klaus," She breathed out as she pulled out the sketch. It was of her. She was in mid laugh and her head was thrown back. Everything was exact, right down to her dimples.
"I guess you've become my muse," Klaus chuckled softly. Audrey didn't know what to do, because this was incredibly romantic to her. She set the drawing down slowly and turned to face her soulmate. Everything was leading up to this. The undisclosed desires were finally breaking free. She knew that it was the bond pulling her to him but that was the last thing on her mind when she stepped forward and grabbed his neck, bringing him down to her. Their lips met and it was as if the room exploded around them. Heat flared between the two of them, to the point where they thought they were boiling. When they unwillingly pulled away it was as if neither of them could catch their breath. They stared at each other in shock but it subsided when they realized that they both just had the most unbelievable kiss.
"This is wrong," Audrey panted. "But holy crap does it feel good," Klaus didn't get to reply because she pulled him in for another earth shattering kiss. All of their problems faded away as they got lost in each other.
