Audrey was walking around town, feeling like she was floating on air. She was smiling and waving at people as she walked and it was strange. People who almost died don't walk around all giddily the next day. "Come to decide that the things that I tried were in my life just-," Audrey sighed and answered her phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, you need to get the The Grill. Like now," Elena stated in her panic-but-stern voice.
"What? Why?" Audrey asked, stopping her walk.
"Jeremy lost his job and I don't know," Elena sighed. "Just get here please," Audrey opened her mouth to reply but Elena had already hung up.
"Oh, thanks," Audrey grumbled. Her good mood immediately faltered. She was only a few blocks away from The Grill and decided to jog the rest of the way there. When she stepped through the doors she spotted Damon and Elena instantly. She walked over to them and took a seat at their table. "So, baby brother has been going back to his old ways?"
"Yeah, and I don't know what to do," Elena groaned, holding her head in her hands. "I've tried to get a hold of him but he won't pick up," Audrey rolled her eyes and whipped out her phone. She quickly dialed her brother's number and waited for him to answer. When it went straight to voicemail she grew annoyed.
"Jeremy Gilbert, if you do not answer my goddamn calls I will go to your room and destroy everything in there. Don't underestimate me either, baby brother," Audrey growled into her phone before hanging up. "God, I will literally kill him,"
"You are feisty when you're mad, baby bird," Damon smirked. Audrey glared at him though. "What?"
"Want to enlighten me on how I almost died last night!?" Audrey asked. "Or how when I got stabbed and I was bleeding out on the Lockwood's front porch, it was Klaus who saved me?!"
"What?" Elena asked shocked. Damon paled and scratched the back of his neck.
"Look, I had no idea that Mikael would use you to get to Klaus. It was only suppose to be Elena or A.K.A Katherine. If I would've known I would have saved you but I was a little busy trying to kill an immortal hybrid," Damon explained.
"Well, that immortal hybrid was the one to save my ass for the second time in like three months!" Audrey stated. Damon was staring at Audrey with a knowing look and it was beginning to weird her out. "What?"
"Do you like him or something?" Damon asked nonchalantly.
"And why would you ask that?" Audrey asked, trying to keep her cool.
"Because I've seen this happen before. Someone saves your life and you start to feel a bond for them," Damon explained. "You can't forget what he's done,"
"I know that Damon!" Audrey answered a little too defensively. "Look, I just...it's weird for me alright," No one talked for a while. Elena cleared her throat and decided it was best to change the subject.
"So, back to the Jeremy thing. He is spiraling. Ever since Bonnie broke up with him, he is moody, he is not really talking to anyone," Elena sighed.
"It's typical teenager," Damon replied, throwing another dart at the board.
"Who's seeing ghosts and has lost everyone that he cares about," Audrey added.
"Not everyone. He still had you two," Damon stated. He threw his last dart and walked to the board to retrieve them.

"You okay?" Elena suddenly asked.
"What makes you think I'm not okay?" Damon asked with a slight smirk.
"Well, you're daydrunk. It's not exactly your most attractive look," Elena pointed out. Damon cocked an eyebrow at her and smiled.
"Hmm-what is my most attractive look?" He asked, stepping closer to her.
"Ah, I'm not saying you have any attractive looks. I'm saying this is my least favorite one," Elena explained with a slight blush in her cheeks.
"I agree," Audrey chimed in. "Your most attractive look is probably your badass I'm gonna save you but kill some people while doing it look,"
Damon smirked and winked at his friend. "Noted. See if I can make any improvements," He said the last part to Elena.
"Don't mind me," A familiar, accented voice said. All eyes turned on Klaus as he stepped into the bar.
"Klaus," Audrey gasped. He winked subtly at her and it filled her body with a shock. She actually got shivers.
"You gonna do this in the Grill? In front of everyone? It's a little beneath you, don't you think?" Damon asked, stepping in front of the two girls. Klaus grew annoyed at this for some reason. If anyone was going to protect Audrey it would be him. He quickly snapped out of it as he thought that.
"I don't know what you are talking about. I just came down to my local pub to grab a drink with a mate," Klaus answered, faking innocence. A new guy walked into the pub and Elena recognized him as the guy who had been following her earlier today. "Get a round in, would you Tony?" Klaus smiles as he sees the amused look on Audrey's face.
"I'm surprised you stuck around town long enough for happy hour," Damon stated sarcastically.
"My sister seems to be missing. Need to sort that out," Klaus replied, matching Damon's attitude.
"Cute blonde bombshell, psycho. Shouldn't be too hard to find," Damon smiled.
"Truth is I've grown to rather like your little town. Think I might fancy a home here," As he said this, Klaus's eyes found Audrey's. Damon noticed this and growled at him. "Oh I imagine you're wondering how does this affect you. The answer is, not in the slightest. As long as I get what I want and everyone behaves themselves you can go on living your little lives however you choose. You have my word," Klaus even winked for effect. Audrey was beat red by this point.
"What more could you possibly want?" Elena asked with confusion and anger.
"Well for starters, you can tell me where I might find Stefan," Klaus said picking up a dart.
"Stefan skipped town the second he saved your ass," Damon answered bitterly.
"Well you see that's a shame," Klaus sighed sarcastically. He threw the dart and hit the bulls-eye. "Your brother stole from me. I need him found so I can take back what's mine,"
"That sounds like a Klaus and Stefan problem," Elena grumbled with frustration. Klaus frowned and stepped closer to her, but Damon was quick to stop him.
"Ha. Well this is me broadening the scope, sweetheart," Klaus smirked. His eyes went over to Audrey once more, before he left. Her heart was beating wildly and she was completely flushed. His effect on her was becoming stronger the more they saw each other.

Elena and Alaric are preparing dinner together, while Audrey was lounging on the couch. "So, you're ready?" Alaric asked Elena.

"Vampires, hybrids, and originals. No problem," She answered with a fake smile. "My rebellious brother. I'm worried," Audrey laughed and agreed with her.
"Proof that you're still human," Alaric said. Elena smiled at him just as the front door was opening. In walked Jeremy and he headed straight to the fridge, ignoring everyone.
"Excuse me!" Audrey shouted at her little brother. He glanced back at her and rolled his eyes.
"Just in time! We're cooking," Elena cheered happily.
"Sorry, just passing through," Jeremy muttered.
"The hell you are!" Audrey growled, sitting up on the couch.
"Well, I thought we would all stay in, have a mean together like a typical, atypical family," Alaric suggested, shooting Audrey a look.
"Why?" Jeremy asked with a bit of an attitude.
"Maybe because you got fired and you didn't tell anyone," Elena shot back at him with a fake calm voice.
"Ahh-look can we do this later? I made plans with Tyler. He's right outside," Jeremy sighed with boredom. .
"Wait! When did you start hanging out with Tyler Lockwood?" Alaric asked, just as Jeremy was walking back to the door.
"I don't know. Does it matter?" Jeremy asked.
"Yeah, Jeremy! It does matter. He was sired by Klaus and he's dangerous!" Audrey shouted at her little brother.
"He can still hear you. He is right outside. Besides you of all people are gonna lecture me on who I can and can't hang out with?" Jeremy asked his sister in a tone he's never used before on her.
"What is with the attitude?" Elena asked her brother.
"Whatever, this is lame. Tyler is waiting," Jeremy groaned heading for the door, but Audrey jumped up and blocked him.
"Oh, no no! You're not going anywhere, especially not with Tyler freaking Lockwood," She stated angrily. Jeremy looked at Alaric for help but he shook his head.
"I'm with her on this, Jer. Sorry," Alaric sighed.
"All right, fine. You want me to stay in? Let's all stay in then!" Jeremy said sarcastically. "Yo, Tyler! Come on in!" And on cue, Tyler stepped inside. The moment he walked through the door Audrey got into his face.
"Want to explain to me why you're suddenly interested in my baby brother, you no brain minion?" She asked. Tyler frowned and cocked an eyebrow at Jeremy. "Don't look at him. Now answer me Tyler, because I'm not an idiot and I know Klaus is putting you up to something,"
"Whoa, Audrey. Lay off," Jeremy said defensively as he pulled his sister away from the hybrid. She growled at the hybrid and narrowed her eyes menacingly.
"I'm watching you, hybrid," She spat as she struggled in her brother's arms. Tyler swallowed hard and looked at Jeremy. Audrey pried herself out of her brother's arms and gave Tyler one last look before walking over to her sister. She stormed out of the room and angrily pulled out her phone. She had gotten Klaus's number one night after she stole Tyler's phone from him. The phone rang twice before he picked up.
"Miss me already, love?" Klaus asked, firing up Audrey's nerves.
"I'm not even going to ask how you already have my number, but look. Keep your stupid minions away from my family," Audrey growled sternly.
"Why should I take orders from you?" Klaus asked playfully. "Unless, this is some kind of flirting, which if it is, it's kind of hot,"
"Don't be gross," Audrey blushed. "Um-just...okay I know you're pissed about god knows what, but I had no part in this. So, can you just do this thing for me and leave my family out of this?"
"Well, even if you had no foot in this plan, your sister did," Klaus sighed. "Love, you have my word that you will not be harmed in any way," Audrey breathed out in relief. "I can't promise the same for your family,"
"Wait what?" Audrey asked. "Klaus-!" She was cut off by him hanging up the phone. "Asshole!" She shouted. She walked back into the living room to see Jeremy hanging up the phone.
"What was that about?" Elena asked him. He had a blank look of his face but shook his head.
"It was nothing," Jeremy answered.
"I got to go. Umm, thanks for the food offer, but," Tyler trailed off awkwardly.
"Next time," Alaric finished for him. Tyler nods and gets up to leave. "That was illuminating," Alaric chuckled as him and Elena turned around to finish cooking. Audrey nodded, and walked over to them.
"So, Tyler Lockwood is a lunatic who has access to our house," Audrey mumbled. "Great,"
"I mean this whole sire bond thing is...wild. I don't even think Tyler is fully aware of what little reason lies behind what he's saying. It's this weird cult logic," Ric sighed, shaking his head.
"Well, great, that's a wonderful influence for you, Jer..," Elena began but trailed off as she turned around to see her brother was gone. "Jeremy?" Both Audrey and Ric turned to see no Jeremy, but his ring was left on his plate.
"That's his ring," Audrey pointed out. Elena picks it up to examine it.
"Where did he go?" Elena asked. All three of them looked at each other before bolting for the door. They all walked outside to see Jeremy standing in the middle of the road.
"Jeremy!? What is he doing?" Audrey asked. Suddenly, a car comes whipping around the corner at an intense speed. It was heading right for Jeremy so everyone acted quick. "Oh my god, Jeremy!"
"Jeremy move!" He ignored everyone's calls and stays put. Alaric ran over to him and pushed him out of the way just as the car got to them. So instead, it was Alaric flying into the air and landing with a sickening crack. The car slowed and the driver rolled down the window.
"There I go again. Bumping into people," Tony, the hybrid, said to Elena, before speeding away. Both Elena and Audrey ran to Ric and turned him over to check him. He was dead but thankfully he was wearing his ring. Jeremy get up and runs over to them too.
"He's going to be alright. Are you alright?" Audrey asked, standing up to check her little brother.
"I don't understand," Jeremy said, ignoring his older sister as he stared down at Ric.
"Who was that on the phone earlier?" Elena questioned.
"It was Klaus!" Jeremy answered, still shaken up. Audrey and Elena shared a look.
"You were compelled, Jeremy! We've gotta get him inside-help me!" Elena shouted, attempting to lift Ric's body by herself. Audrey and Jeremy helped her and carried Ric's body back inside their house. Audrey was so mad that Klaus would do this, but then again he did say her family wasn't safe. Only she was.
