《Sinful |Klaus Mikaelson||》Homecoming

Everyone gathered in the living room at the Salvatore's house so they could come up with a plan. "Let's say that Mikael followed Elena here. He tried to grab her, so he could use her as bait," Stefan suggested.
"And you what? Vervained him?" Elena asked.
"No, we vervained him! This guy is an Original. To make it realistic," Damon answered.
"Okay, fine. We vervained him, and in the process discovered that he had a dagger," Stefan sighed, clearly bored.
"Which he planned to us on Rebekah, but instead...," Elena trailed off.
"We drove it through his heart," Stefan continued for her.
"And what happens when he asks to see Mikael's body?" Audrey questioned the group.
"Good point! You my brother, have been compelled to do what Klaus says. So the idea is to lure him back here and kill him...last thing we need is you getting tripped up and tongue-tied," Damon pointed out.
"Well, don't look at me. I'm just in charge of getting him back here," Stefan scoffed, raising his hands in surrender.
"Klaus is smart. If we tell him that Mikael is dead, he'll want proof," Elena stated.
"Than I shall be dead," Mikael said as he stepped into the room. Audrey's nerves grew and she bit her nails in panic.
"Maybe, we should think this through more," She suggested innocently. Mikael turned to the human girl and cocked his head at her in confusion.
"Do you sympathize with Niklaus?" He asked in disgust.
"N-no! I just-we should-," She stuttered. Mikael was getting her flustered. "I just think we need a solid plan!"
"This is a solid plan, Audrey," Elena stated.
"Don't tell me you think you owe him anything," Damon groaned. "He saved your life once, and it was for his pleasure. You shouldn't care about him," Audrey looked down at her feet and sighed.
"Niklaus saved your life?" Mikael asked in disbelief. Audrey nodded. "He has no remorse for anything," Mikael began to think of an explanation. When the thought of Klaus actually caring for someone crossed his mind, he smirked to himself. He could use this to his advantage.
"It's whatever, let's get back to the plan," Audrey said, diverting everyone off the subject.
"So, what if he wants to see you in person?" Elena asked Mikael.
"Well that means our plan is working. Klaus will absolutely want to see my body. You lure him here, and I will kill him," The Original explained.
"With what? Those daggers won't work on him," Stefan stated as he raised an eyebrow in wonder.
"Well, I'm in possession of a stake fashioned from the wood of the ancient white oak tree. The one that left these ashes when it burned," Mikael said. He pulled out a bottle of white oak ashes from his pocket to show everyone his proof.
"Where is it?" Stefan questioned. Mikael started dipping one of his daggers into the ashes and held it up.
"Not here. The knowing of it's location is my insurance policy," He smirked.
"Against what?" Stefan asked.
"You leaving this in my heart. You see, a vampire can't dagger an Original without dying. So...it falls to you," Mikael said as he handed the stake to Audrey. Her eyes widened but she took the stake from his hands.

"Why me?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Just do it," He snapped. Audrey placed the dagger against Mikael's chest and slowly pushed it in. When he dropped dead on the ground, everyone gasped. It wasn't until one hour passed that Damon removed the stake.
"Call Klaus," Damon scowled at Stefan. The younger Salvatore rolled his eyes as he walked away to do as told. As Stefan walked back in the room he was on the phone.
"Your father is dead," He said into the phone. "Oh, my mistake. Not your actual father and not dead. Daggered. What do you want me to do with the body?" Audrey tuned out the extent of Stefan's conversation, mainly because she didn't want to think about Klaus. When Rebekah walked into the room, Stefan handed her his phone.
"Hello Nik," She greeted her older brother.
"Rebekah, love. What's this I hear about Mikael's tragic run in with a dagger?" Klaus asked his little sister.
"It's true. He's finally out of our lives for good. I miss you. I'm miserable here," Rebekah lied smoothly.
"I'll be home soon," Klaus sighed in relief.
"Good. I can't wait to see you, brother," As Rebekah hung up the phone she felt guilt rise within her chest. "He bought it. He's coming home,"
"Now was that easy or what?" Damon chuckled. Elena rolled her eyes at him before exiting the room. He followed after her along with Stefan. Audrey was left with Rebekah and Mikael's body.
"You okay, Beks?" Audrey asked her friend.
"Hmm? Yes," Rebekah replied. Really, she wasn't. Klaus may have killed their mother, but she still felt like she was betraying him. Audrey gave the blonde a hug for comfort before going after her sister. As she listened to Damon and Elena scheme she couldn't help but feel nervous for tonight. Klaus was really coming back here. It'd be the first time she'd seen him since the night at the school. The night he saved her. She cursed herself for the unwanted butterflies erupting through her whole body.

Caroline was chatting away as her and Audrey hung up streamers for tonight's dance. Audrey wasn't listening to a word she said though. Her mind was still focused on the brute of a hybrid who was on his way to Mystic Falls. "Audrey? Are you even listening to me?" Caroline asked.
"Care, you've been going on about Tyler for the past 20 minutes," Audrey replied with a sigh. "You know he's not my favorite subject,"
"I know, but I just can't believe him! I knew he was sired but he's completely brain washed!" Caroline exclaimed as she threw her hands up in the air. "They better kill Klaus tonight, because I can't handle my boyfriend being someone he's not anymore!" There it was. The mention of killing Klaus again. Audrey's conflicting heart was tearing itself apart. She wanted to be on the same page as everyone else, but she just couldn't. It wasn't in her nature to hold so much hate. Sure, she'd be angry at someone but never long enough to harbor actual hate. It never made sense to her on why she was such a forgiving person.
"Well, hopefully after tonight it will all be over," Audrey was trying to put up a front so Caroline couldn't see through her.

"Yeah, hopefully," Caroline muttered as she angrily hung up the last streamer. When the gym was completely decorated the two girls headed for Caroline's house to get ready. "I'm going to make you look so hot that everyone will either want to be with you or be you," Caroline smirked at her friend. Audrey rolled her eyes but began to strip down so she could get into her dress. Caroline was doing her hair when she finally said something.
"Elena thinks I'm crazy," Audrey mumbled. "So does Damon actually,"
"I do too, but I understand you better. I mean, I hate Rebekah as much as they do but I also love you," Caroline explained, curling her friends hair. "You know how Elena is. She thinks that just because she's the oldest then she should make all the decisions. Damon, is Damon. He's a controlling ass," Audrey giggled at that and agreed.
"Very true," She giggled. Caroline smiled at Audrey in the mirror as she curled the last strand of hair. After hair was makeup but that took less than 20 minutes. When she was finally finished Caroline turned her friend around so she could examine herself in the mirror. Audrey looked stunning. She looked like she belonged on a catwalk in Milan. When Caroline was done getting ready she looked equally beautiful.
"God, if Tyler doesn't dance with me tonight I think I might lose it," Caroline sighed as her and her friend walked to her car. Audrey tried to pay attention to the overzealous blonde beside her, but simply couldn't. When would Klaus arrive? Would she see him before Mikael got to him? All of these thoughts filled her head as they rode to the dance. When they arrived at the school they were both shocked to see fire trucks everywhere. The minute Caroline parked her car she jumped out to see what the problem was. Audrey was walking up just as Caroline was shouting at the firemen.
"What happened?" Audrey asked.
"The gym flooded," Tyler answered as he sauntered up to the two girls.
"What?" Caroline asked.
"Dance is cancelled," Tyler shrugged, not really caring.
"Excuse me? What are we supposed to do now?!" Caroline shouted in frustration. Tyler smirked and shook his head.
"We could have it at my house," He suggested. "My mom's gone and it's better than nothing," Caroline thought it over before eventually agreeing to the plan. She walked off to notify Caroline while Audrey stayed back with Tyler. When she noticed Tyler's unwavering gaze she got nervous.
"What?" She asked him.
"You look hot tonight," He commented, but his usual smirk was nowhere on his face.
"Oh...uh thanks?" She questioned with confusion. He shook his head and walked away. Audrey watched him as he walked away and wondered what his attitude was for.

Caroline, Bonnie, and Audrey all walked into Tyler's house in shock. A raging party was happening yet Tyler had only suggested moving Homecoming to his house less than an hour ago. "How did he plan a better party than me so fast? What? Is that a band outside?" Caroline asked furiously.
"Who are all these people?" Bonnie asked as she looked around. Audrey looked around too and saw no one she recognized.
"This is weird! Where is Tyler?" Caroline questioned as she walked away. Audrey walked away to find a drink but somehow she managed to venture outside where people were dancing to the band. Suddenly, the music stopped and a familiar figure walked across stage. Audrey's breath hitched just from the sight of him.
"Good evening everyone! I wanna thank you for being here with me to celebrate! It's been a long time coming!" Klaus cheered to the crowd. The crowd cheered back and he walked off stage. Audrey thought she would blend in but she was stupid to think so. "I would say I'm surprised to see you here but I figured you wouldn't be able to stay away, love," Just hearing his voice had goosebumps rising all over her skin. She prayed and prayed she wouldn't do something embarrassing as she turned to meet him. "You even dressed for the occasion," He commented, his eyes trailing down her body. "Stunning,"
"Niklaus," She greeted stiffly. Her heart was beating rapidly from how close he was standing. His scent was flowing into her nose and it nearly made her tremble. If only she knew she had the same exact effect on him.
"We're using the full name now? What have I done this time?" He smirked playfully. She stared at him before speaking, mainly because he was poisoning her mind. He looked incredibly handsome in his suit.
"Um...nothing," She answered lamely. Klaus cocked his head at her. She wasn't the same spit fiery girl he left behind. He stepped closer to her and noticed the way her breathing turned erratic. It wasn't because she was scared of him though. "Can I...can we talk?"
"About?" He questioned, lifting a curled strand of hair from her shoulder. She closed her eyes and tried to control her breathing but nothing was working. Why was this happening to her?
"You saved my life," She blurted out. Klaus stiffened. "Why?" Audrey had the upper hand now. She had just brought up the one thing Klaus was trying to forget. While he had been hunting werewolves to turn into hybrid's the human never left his mind. "You could've left me to bleed to death or let Stefan kill me but you didn't. Why?"
"Why does it matter?" Klaus asked, taking a step back from her.
"Because....Because you're Klaus! You're the big bad hybrid that everyone fears, yet you saved me! And now all I can think about is how you saved my life and how you did this thing for me, but for what reason?! Klaus, you haven't left my mind since you left and It's been tearing me apart!" It was out. Audrey's confession was out. She was shocked at her outburst but she was even more shocked at Klaus's softened expression. Instead of waiting for an answer she turned around and walked away.
