Audrey was peacefully asleep when a bright light ruined that. She slowly opened her eyes to see her older sister pulling open her curtains. "Elena, it's too early," She groaned miserably. Elena chuckled before walking over to her younger sister's bed to pull off her covers.

"Audrey, it's 10 and you've been sleeping in too much," Elena laughed.

"That's because it's the summer now. You should know, today's your birthday," Elena's face immediately fell. She didn't want to celebrate her birthday when she was so worried for the man she loves.

"Yeah well, it doesn't feel like it," She sighed. Audrey sat up in her bed and looked at her sister. In a second she was up, embracing her tightly.

"Lena, I'm so sorry," Audrey still felt responsible for Klaus taking Stefan away. "If I hadn't persisted Stefan, he-,"

"Stop. You and I both know he would've gone no matter what," Elena sighed. "I just don't understand why Klaus took him away,"

"Who knows, Klaus is psychotic," Audrey mumbled rolling her eyes. Even thinking about the guy gave her chills and not the good ones either. "But let's not talk about that lunatic right now. Today is your birthday and even if you don't want to celebrate it we still are. Caroline and I have worked too hard planning this party for you to just ditch it," Elena only rolled her eyes and walked away. Audrey followed behind, but not before peaking her head into her younger brother's room to check on him. "Hey Sunshine!"

"Ya know, no one's called me that since mom and dad died," Jeremy smiled. Audrey smiled back and leaned against his door frame.

"God, I remember how it got started. We were all watching 'Remember the Titans' and you insisted you were going to be a quarterback like Sunshine," Audrey giggled at the memory.

"Yeah, then dad got everyone to start calling me that," There was a moment of silence between the siblings as they remembered their parents. "I miss them so much,"

"I know, me too," Audrey sighed. "They wouldn't want us to be so sad though. So, get ready for work and have a great day today baby brother!"

"Thank you big sister," Jeremy replied sarcastically. Audrey laughed and walked downstairs to see her sister talking with Alaric. When Alaric saw the younger sister he smiled softly.

"Audrey Gilbert has decided to finally grace us with her appearance!" Ric shouted happily. Audrey smirked and shoved Ric's head playfully.

"So have we heard anything new about Stefan?" She asked as she made a cup of a coffee. She was cautious when talking about Stefan for her sister's sake.

"There has been a string of deaths in Tennessee and they've all been ruled animal attacks," Elena explained.

"Makes sense. I could see Tennessee being a breeding ground for werewolves," Audrey laughed. She took a sip of her coffee and watched her sister carefully. "Well, we should go tell Damon the news," Elena nodded in agreement. "Alaric, you're welcome to join us,"

"Nah, I don't have the time or patience to deal with Damon right now," Alaric responded with a hint of distaste in his voice. Elena shared a look with her sister because they both knew the real reason.

"Okay!" Audrey said grabbing her sister's hand. "Let's go," The drive to the Salvatore's house was short but her sisters insistent tapping on the dashboard made it long. After parking the car and walking in they both went looking for their friend. "Sexy! Where are you?"

"Little bird!" The two sisters turned around to witness Damon standing behind them completely naked. Elena immediately covered her eyes but Audrey was too in shock to do anything but stare. Her face turned red as she glanced down at his private area. "Enjoying the view?"

"You heard us! You knew we were here!" Elena shouted grabbing her sister and turning them away from him.

"Yeah, you should learn to knock. What if I was...indecent," Damon snickered. Audrey was still in shock and Elena was beginning to wonder if he traumatized her sister. She quickly grabbed a towel and blindly threw it to Damon. When he was eventually decent they turned to look at him.

"Sheriff Forbes gave us another location to check," Elena said pulling out a note from her pocket. "Memphis," Damon took the note from her and examined it with little care.

"Oh another dead-end you mean," He said with sarcasm.

"You don't know that," Audrey replied, snapping out of her shocked state.

"You're right Audrey. This could be the one. After almost two months this could be the one clue that tells us that Stefan is alive and well and living in Graceland," Audrey rolled her eyes at his attitude and looked at her sister.

"Fine, we'll go by ourselves," Elena answered turning with her sister to walk away. Damon sped in front of them to block their path.

"Right, and let Klaus know you're tracking him. He thinks you're dead, let's keep it that way. And you, he has a weird thing for you and the last thing we need is for him to kidnap you as well," Damon knew that looking for the hybrid could only mean trouble.

"It's a new lead, Damon. We haven't had one in a while," Elena pleaded.

"Okay, I'll check it out. If I find anything I'll call you," Both sisters eyes widened.

"But-!" They said together, but he was already gone. They looked at each other and rolled their eyes. "What an ass!" After their encounter with Damon they decided to spend the rest of the day running around town doing whatever they felt like doing until it was time to return to the Salvatore house to set up for the party.

"Not that I don't love the company of Tyler Lockwood, but was it really necessary to bring him along?" Audrey groaned miserably. Elena and Caroline tried hiding their laughter as Tyler glared at the younger sister.

"I'm right here you know," He growled.

"Whoa there puppy calm down. I'm just joking," She laughed pinching his cheek. He rolled his eyes and walked away to set up streamers.

"Damon is rubbing off on you," Caroline laughed. "Which is kind of a bad thing considering what he did today,"

"I feel like I have to fight Damon every single time we get a lead on Stefan," Elena sighed as she put down napkins. Audrey chuckled and nodded, agreeing with her.

"Maybe he doesn't want to find him," Tyler suggested. All eyes turned to him while Caroline gasped with shock.

"Tyler!" She scolded.

"What? He's into you isn't he?" He asked looking at everyone. Elena blushed and looked away. Audrey raised her eyebrow at her sister.

"The only reason Stefan left with Klaus was so he could save Damon's life. I mean, trust me, Damon wants to find him," Elena explained turning away from Tyler to busy herself.

"But didn't you kiss him? Probably screwed with his head," Tyler huffed.

"Tyler! Wrong sister first off, and second off-," She smacked him to make her point. He frowned and looked at Audrey who was blushing madly. Elena turned to her sister too.

"What?" Her and Tyler said together. Audrey looked at Caroline with wide eyes while Caroline was mouthing sorry. She looked back at her sister and Tyler and scratched the back of her head.

"Well, you see...he was dying and I thought that he wasn't going to be saved. Besides, he had this thing about being my first kiss so I just did it to please him," She explained. Tyler frowned and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Audrey, I was your first kiss," He said in a duh tone.

"What? No you weren't! We've never kissed before Tyler," She insisted. He instantly got confused and tried remembering if what she was saying was true or not. He swore he kissed her before but now that he thought about it he wasn't sure.

"Okay...well, I missed a call from Bonnie so I'm going to call her back," Elena said walking out of the room. Audrey's phone began beeping as well and she looked down to see she missed a call from Damon. She walked outside to call him back.

"Lover, I was thinking of a new mission for myself," Damon said as he answered his phone. Audrey laughed lightly and rolled her eyes.

"If it's taking my virginity don't even bother saying it. It's not happening," She said knowing exactly how his brain works.

"Hey, you said the same thing about being your first kiss," He chuckled smirking at Alaric who sat in the car next to him.

"Awe, that was a pity kiss though. I'd never in my right mind kiss you for real," She teased playfully. "I mean you're hot and everything, but definitely not my type,"

"Please, I'm everyone's type," Damon scoffed.

"Okay, sure. So is there an actual reason for you calling me or was it to enlighten me on your newest conquest?" Damon smirked from her feisty attitude and chuckled.

"I called to ask if you hid my present for Elena," Damon stated with a bored sigh.

"You underestimate me young grasshopper. Don't worry babe, I've hid it well," Audrey laughed. "So when is your sexy ass planning to come home? We have a party to throw, remember?"

"Awe baby cakes do you miss me already?" Damon teased. "When I get back I'll ravage you on the-,"

"Okay enough dirty talk. Just please get here soon," Before he could say anything else Audrey hung the phone up. She could handle his flirty remarks to a point. Once he took them too far she was done. Her innocent ears could only take so much.

"Audrey, come on! People are going to be here soon," Caroline shouted from inside. Audrey walked back inside grabbing a bottle of bourbon from Damon's shelf as she passed it. If he wasn't going to be here soon she was going to get roaring drunk by herself.
