You’d expect that both of them would play out normally for the most part, right? Well... Maxon Cortez and Jason McGuire had the same thoughts too. Yet, fate has different plans for them: Max ends up in an eerie location he doesn’t recognize and Jace gets transported to an entirely different world that works like a video game (sort of) by walking into a portal. As they travel along the lands, the two of them will encounter other individuals of many kinds, make friends new and old, gain powerful abilities, experience spectacular adventures, and obtain priceless treasures. However, Maxon and Jason will unknowingly become integral parts of a nefarious conspiracy that, if successful, will plunge both of their worlds into eternal chaos and darkness. So it’s up to them and their allies to thwart it. Side-Note: I’ll admit right off the bat that this story will be my first attempt at writing a LitRPG, so the in-game mechanics and terminology will probably look weird and be even nonsensical. To be an Unparalleled Lord of the Grand Firmament, unfettered from the restrictions of Heaven, countless people follow this path. Another to follow the Soul, becoming a Grand Spirit Sovereign, Nourishing the Soul with Yin and Yang and wielding the five elements on the fingertips of their own! To be an Incomparable Sage of the Everlasting Heavens, wielding the Laws of the Universe as their own, countless others follow this path. Yet since Ancient Times and bygone Era's, have there not been three paths? A Path which made the other two paths a lesser path?
