Faith stepped inside the Salvatore house with Klaus close behind her and watched as Caroline drank from an unfinished plastic cup with alcohol. "If you wanted to go wasted, the Mystic Grill is only a few seconds away with your vampire speed. Maybe I could introduce you to my dealer back in the day."
"What are the two of you doing here?" Caroline asked, not looking at them as she continued to clean up the house.
"Not gushing for starters," Klaus said, "but I do suggest doing it somewhere more sanitary?"
Faith smirked and sat down at the arm of a couch in the room. Caroline turned to look at them with a blank look before taking a cup and drinking the rest of the alcohol in it. "Well, you showed us," Klaus smirked.
"Shouldn't you be out chasing Tyler to the ends of the earth? Or are there still some hopes and dreams you wanna crush around here?"
"Depends," Klaus said. "Do you happen to know where young Brutus is?"
"I know where he's not; with me," Caroline answered. "And he gave Matt the deed to the house, so he's gone for good."
"Tyler made it his life mission to kill me," Klaus narrowed his eyes on the blonde. "And who knows what he would've done to Faith? But I'm sure he told you what he's done to her before."
Faith grabbed his hand in case he spontaneously decided to kill the blonde. Stefan had asked them to come and they couldn't just come in and start killing someone inside the house. Maybe when they were outside, they could.
"He changed," Caroline defended. "Now if you don't mind, I'd like to go back to spiraling, so go away."
"Actually, I asked them to be here," Stefan entered the room causing them to look at him. "We need their help. I think Silas is in Mystic Falls."

"So some blood goes missing from a few hospitals," Klaus shrugged as he served himself bourbon. "What about Elena? Don't vampires with their humanity off tend to overindulge in human blood or were you just the exception?"
He motioned Faith to take the glass cup, but she only shook her head that she didn't want it. He furrowed his eyebrows for a second before grinning, mockingly at Stefan.
"It's not Elena," Stefan reassured.
"Well, let's say for a moment that it was Silas," Klaus said as he sat down next to Faith. "I'm struggling to see how this affects me."

"Look," Stefan began. "Silas wants to die and be reunited with his one true love, but he's supernatural, so if he takes the cure and dies, he gets stuck on the other side."
"How Shakespearean," Klaus smiled.
"But if he destroys the other side altogether, he can take the cure, die, and pass on," Stefan continued. "But in destroying it, every dead supernatural being will return to our side."
"That means every werewolf, every witch, every vampire," Caroline spoke up. "I wonder how many of those you personally killed. And let's not forget Faith's sociopathic mother? Care yet?"
Faith frowned at the mention of her mother and the couple glanced at each other. Faith rolled her eyes, "fine. How do we stop him?"
"Bonnie said Silas needs to complete three massacres to do the spell. Before professor Shane died, he convinced the pastor to blow up the council," Stefan explained. "Next, he had you kill your hybrids and now he only needs one more massacre. So if he's here, that's what he's doing. We need to find him."

Stefan entered Shane's office with Caroline, Faith, and Klaus following close after him. "What are we even looking for?" Caroline asked.
"Well, if Shane really was working with Silas, chances are he was helping him plan his next move," Stefan explained as they began to search the office.
"Where, on his evil villain to-do list?" Caroline retorted. "'Steal blood, perform 3 massacres, pick up dry cleaning'?"
"Actually, not to nit-pick, but we, evil villains, usually use minions to pick up our dry cleaning, that sort of thing," Klaus said causing a small smile to appear on Faith's lips.
"Why are they necessary again?"
"Well, we don't know what Silas can do, so if we do have to go head to head with him," Stefan explained. "An original hybrid who can't die might come in handy. And Faith is as strong, maybe even stronger than Bonnie."
"Why thank you," Faith smiled at the vampire.
"Besides, Stefan and I work well together, or at least we did in the twenties," Klaus said.
"Well, granted my emotions were off."
"And that's why you were more fun. Just as Damon is probably relishing in Elena's emotionless company in New York."
"My brother knows what he's doing," Stefan defended.
"Does he?" Klaus provoked. "Don't underestimate the allure of darkness, Stefan. Even the purest hearts are drawn to it."
"What you got there?" Faith questioned the book in the blonde's hands.

"I think I found something," Caroline announced as she walked over to the desk Klaus sat near. "'Symbolic figures in the dark arts'. Didn't Bonnie talk about expression triangles? Here."
She pointed at a page in the book. There were a square and inside of it was a triangle with multiple symbols. "That was the council fire. Demons; Klaus' hybrid failure."
"Well it wasn't a failure," Klaus interjected. "What's the third?"
"It's obviously witches," Faith said as she looked through the bookshelves. She turned around to find everyone else staring at her. "What?"
"You knew?" Caroline asked.
"Of course I did," Faith said in a duh tone. "It was kind of obvious. I thought you all knew as well. Did you not?"
"No, we didn't," Stefan crossed his arms.
"I didn't know I was the only one who was able to put one and one together," Faith said before muttering. "Talk about stupidity."
• • • •
"There've been two massacres," Faith uncapped the marker and began drawing on the map in front of her with Klaus holding the map flat on the desk. "Pastor Young's farm is here and the Lockwood cellar is here. According to the book, the expression triangle is equilateral, putting it here or here."
They turned around at the sound of the door opening. "You found the Bennet witch?"
"No but Stefan talked to her dad," Caroline said.
"And?"
"We think we found Silas."

Klaus held his hand out to Faith. The siphoner grinned, amused by his actions before taking his hand. Their fingers intertwined as they walked hand in hand through the forest. They've split up from Caroline and Stefan to check for the two possible locations. They were going to one location and the couple was going to the other.
"You know," Faith smiled at the hybrid. "This would be a romantic date if we weren't looking for a coven of witches."
"Who said we can't?" Klaus said, glancing at her.
"Maybe some other time," Faith suggested. "When Silas isn't a problem and when there's a day where something bad doesn't happen."
Klaus looked down at his phone and looked around the area. "Well, we're here. Although judging by the lack of witches, here is not the correct location."
• • • •
"They're linked," Stefan told the couple once they arrived at the correct location. "Bonnie's gonna kill them."
"Not if the witches kill her first," Klaus said before slamming Stefan against a tree. Faith behind Klaus looked at Caroline as if daring her to make a move.
"We need to save her," Caroline pleaded.
"How? The only way to stop the witches is to kill them and then Silas gets what he wants," Klaus argued.
They heard the coven begin chanting. Before anybody could react, Caroline vamp-speed over to the witch holding the knife and stabbed her through the chest. "No!"
Slowly, one by one, the rest of the coven died as well as the fire on the torches. "The triangle is complete."

"What a waste of time," Faith scoffed. She glared at the blonde vampire sitting at a fallen tree trunk as Klaus buried the last dead witch. "One life over probably a million."
"Now Silas has everything he needs to open the gates to hell on earth," Klaus fumed.
"You were going to let Bonnie die," Caroline countered.
"She's not that fucking important!" Faith yelled at the blonde, causing her to flinch. "She's not the fucking president of the United States or the Queen of England, and even if she was it wouldn't have mattered because we still would've let her die!"
"She's my best friend!" Caroline stood up.
"I don't care!" Faith yelled. "Just like you didn't care who you had to kill to save her! And now Silas is going to destroy the other side and my mother! That sociopathic bitch is coming back!"
"And this isn't even the first time it will happen!" Faith yelled at her. "And who the fuck knows what she's going to do to me! And honestly, I could care less about me! I have a daughter who she knows where she lives! I've tried so hard to keep her a secret! So she won't be involved in these constant problems you and your friends always cause!"
Caroline's eyes widened at the news and tears built up in her eyes before she left the couple.
Klaus pulled the siphoner into her arms just as she was about to drop to the forest floor. Her arms wrapped around him as she sought out comfort from him. She took in deep breaths as she felt herself go emotional. More than usual.
"You should go check on her," the hybrid whispered to her. "Check if she's safe."
"I'm sorry," she whispered. "That I didn't tell you where she is."
"You're a mother trying to keep her daughter safe, Faith," Klaus said.
"I love you," she whispered before planting a kiss on his lips.
"I love you, too," the hybrid said before she disappeared from his sight.
Once she was gone, Klaus looked at the area in front of him. Professor Shane appeared from the trees and clapped. "Silas, I'm presuming," Klaus said.
