"Do you really need to talk to her?" Faith asked Klaus as they stood in the middle of the gym while the rest of the student body danced around them in their 1920s attire. Klaus gave her a navy blue flapper dress paired with silk white gloves.
"There's no need to be jealous, love," Klaus answered with a smirk as the siphoner scowled at him. "She was the one who told me to tell you."
"Fine," Faith agreed, reluctantly as Tyler took notice of the two of them and soon Caroline noticed them.
"Where've you been, mate?" Klaus stepped forward with one arm wrapped around Faith's waist.
"I just got back in town," Tyler answered, glancing at the arm wrapped around Faith.
"That's funny, I don't recall giving you permission to leave in the first place," Klaus said with a serious tone before stepping forward. "You don't mind if I cut in, do you?"
"Yes," Caroline replied. "Actually we do and you have your own date. We wouldn't want her to get jealous."
"Please," Faith rolled her eyes. "There's no need to worry about me. Tyler here can dance with me while the two of you talk."
Tyler glanced at Klaus and Caroline before stepping back. "It's fine."
"Why do you always have to prove you're the alpha male?!" Caroline criticized.
"I don't have to prove anything. I am the alpha male," Klaus smirked.
Caroline glanced at Faith for help but only got a deadpanned look. "None of us likes being controlled, Barbie," Faith slipped away from Klaus' embrace. "We just have to compromise."
She walked over to Tyler but stopped next to Caroline. "Don't try anything," Faith threatened. "I've never been jealous in my whole life, Caroline. So I don't know how I'll react. Watch yourself."
Faith smiled as she went into Tyler's arms and they began to dance. "You could relax," Faith whispered into his ear as they moved side to side to the slow song. "You can hear what they're talking about."
"How can you be okay with this?" Tyler asked.
"I'm not," Faith admitted. "I know Klaus tried to get with Caroline. I was there when he invited her to the ball, but it's not like I can be jealous of that. I didn't even know I love him then."

"Do you know about the drawing?"
"I was there when he drew it," Faith replied. "She was the one who told him to confess his feelings about me."
"Why did he flirt with her then?" Tyler remarked.
Faith pulled away slightly and looked at Tyler. Blue eyes met with frustrated and worried dark brown eyes. "Tyler, I was a mess. How the hell would someone tell their love to a depressed person? That would just add more pressure on the person. He was being careful around me."
"What I don't understand," Tyler narrowed his eyes on the siphoner. "How can you love him? He's a monster. He made me bit Caroline!"
His grip on Faith tightened with anger and she winced in pain. She clenched her teeth as she began to siphon magic from the hybrid. "Watch it, Lockwood. You might be a hybrid, but I still know how to kill you. And I don't have to explain myself to you. You were way worse than Klaus. You used to save me from Circe just so I would have sex with you. Compared to what he did to me, you humiliated me in the worst time of my life in the worst way."
"So I wouldn't be criticizing me," Faith hissed. "Have some self-reflecting, Tyler. I heard it makes you feel like shit, but at least you know your own fucking mistakes before you start judging people."
She pulled away from the hybrid, just as he was about to drop to the floor from the amount of magic Faith had siphoned from him. She glared with cold blue eyes at him as Klaus left Caroline. He had seen the whole thing. Anger built up inside him as he wanted to rip Tyler's heart out for the things he did to Faith but stopped when he saw the siphoner could take care of herself.
"Let's go," Klaus said as he held Faith's hand and they left the couple. The hybrid held Faith's hand as they walked out of the school building and pulled out his phone to call his sister. "Rebekah, call me immediately. We only came to this ridiculous dance because you begged me to and now you're nowhere to be found."
Faith pulled Klaus back just as he was about to slam into the invisible barrier. "What the bloody hell is this?" Faith asked.

The couple turned around as Stefan walked up from behind them. "Your mother is back," the vampire looked at Klaus.
"Fucking amazing," Faith grumbled.

With narrowed eyes and reluctance, the Bennett witch and siphoner held hands over the desk in the classroom before beginning to chant to break the barrier placed on the high school.
"She does this all the time, right?" Jamie asked as he and the rest of the men watched them.
"What's taking so long?" Klaus demanded. "All boundary spells have a loophole."
"Maybe if all of you stop talking," Faith glanced at the men. "We would've been done now."
"People are walking right out of the dance, past the barrier," Matt entered the classroom.
"Matt and I can leave, we can stop Esther ourselves. We just gotta find out where she is," Jeremy suggested.
"You'll both die the minute, she sees you," Faith crosses her arms. "Then you'll be of no use to us."
"It's suicide, Jeremy," Stefan agreed.
Klaus then rushed toward Jamie and grabbed him by the throat. Everyone went on guard at the sudden action as Faith simply leaned against the desk. "Suicide would be disappointing me! Now work your magic, witch, or I'll start killing people you fancy," Klaus threatened.
"Let him go!" Bonnie yelled. "Faith! Stop him!"
The siphoner rolled her eyes. "You really think I wouldn't notice your lack of enthusiasm for doing the spell? You're not exactly trying your hardest, Bennett."
"Ah, don't be stupid, Klaus," Stefan interjected while glancing wearily at Faith in case she was going to attack the witch. "Bonnie doesn't give a damn about us. The only reason she's helping us right now is to save Caroline and Tyler. You start killing the people she cares about, she'll tell us all to go to hell."
Klaus and Faith glanced at each other before the hybrid let go of Jamie.

After figuring out where Esther was located, Matt and Jeremy were sent to stop the witch while the rest of the supernatural beings stayed stuck in the high school building. Klaus placed around in front of the ring of salt on the ground as Faith watched him with a frown on her face.
"You're going to dig a hole in the ground," she commented. The hybrid only continued to pace. "Klaus. Hey. Niklaus! Nik!" Faith grabbed the hybrid by his arms and made him look at her.
Once she was sure she had his attention, Faith trailed her hand up to his shoulders to either side of his face. "Hey, it's going to be fine. They'll do anything to keep the doppelgänger alive. Plus you being the Original from their bloodline means they wouldn't want to kill you. And I wouldn't let them even if you weren't."
Klaus sighed and smiled at the siphoner. "Thank you, love."
Faith smirked and shrugged. "What can I say? I'm kind of amazing like that."
"If it isn't the man who caused all of this to happen," Klaus turned his attention on Stefan. "I wonder if revenge will prove worth the cost."
"Oh, I'm done with revenge," Stefan dismissed. "As far as Esther; we've stopped her before, we'll stop her again."
"We're strange bedfellows, you and I," Klaus said. "You know, all of this reminds me of our time together in the Twenties."
Stefan deadpanned. "You say that like I'm supposed to have happy memories about it."
"You know, I miss ripper, no humanity Stefan," Faith commented. "The one who wasn't so hung up over Elena and didn't care about anyone."
"Well, there were moments. Real friendship. Brotherhood," Klaus smirked.
"Well, he already has a brother. Not to be, you know, territorial or anything," Damon walked up to them.
"No, of course, the Salvatores and their unshakeable bond," the hybrid said, mockingly. "I wonder what'll happen when Elena finally makes her choice. Will we see you shake just a little bit?"
Damon turned to Faith. "You know, Faith, it's not too late for us to save you from him. Just show any sign that he's keeping you against your will and we'll come to your rescue."
Faith smirked as Klaus glared at the vampire. "Thanks, Damon, but I'm sure I can take care of myself. You just worry about keeping Elena alive and not destroying your relationship with Stefan."
"It's done," Bonnie announced as she walked up to the Salvatore brothers and couple. "Esther's not fighting me anymore. The boundary spell is broken."
Klaus checked time to see if Bonnie is true before getting a good hold on Faith's waist before leaving the high school premises.

Natural Alchemist
Will is poor. This is a fact he does not like about himself. It means ten hour days of hard manual labor with barely enough money to survive, and poor living conditions. He's sick of it, and desperate for change. Perhaps that was what made him decide to spend such a large portion of his savings on a mysterious potion from that beggar... That, and it seemed so special when he held it. But ever since that day, he's been having the strangest dreams... And the work is really starting to take a toll on his body... Author's Note: I wasn't sure which mature content warnings I should put on this novel, as I'm pretty much pantsing the story. I'm putting them there mostly as a percaution, but also to not limit myself as to where the story can go. This is my first time writing and publishing anything substantial. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
