"Mama!" Faith turned around at the squealing voice of Dani. She smiled at the sight of the toddler running towards her. Faith crouched down just in time as Dani jumped into her arms with a large piece of paper in her hands. She took the paper and looked at it, holding Dani on her hip.

"What's this?" She asked the toddler. She studied the large drawing. It looked like an older woman holding a little girl's hand and a man next to the girl.

"That's Mama," Dani pointed to the older woman in the drawing before pointing at the little girl. "That's me and that's Uncle Marcel."

"Well, it's beautiful," Faith places the toddler on the ground. "You would make a great artist."

She watched Dani smile, showing her missing tooth on the top row of her mouth before running off into the living room. After Circe left for New York for business, Faith came to New Orleans to visit Dani. She's been staying in an apartment a few minutes away from the French Quarter with Dani. She was able to get the apartment with the help of Marcel.

Faith went to the kitchen to make the toddler some food when her phone started ringing. She grabbed the phone from the dining table and answered with her eyes trained on Dani who was busy drawing on the coffee table. "Hello?"

"I need you to come back to Mystic Falls," Damon's voice filled her ears. "I might've seriously pissed off a certain werewolf."

Faith sighed. "Which Lockwood? It can't be the Mayor, he's dead. Was it Tyler?"

"Wait," Damon paused. "You knew? And you didn't tell me?"

Faith rolled her eyes even though the vampire couldn't see her. "I didn't like you, Damon. Now which one?"

"Mason Lockwood."

"Seriously, Damon?" Faith groaned. "If I remember correctly, he's handsome. A bit old but then again, Elena is dating your brother."

"About that," Damon trailed off. "They broke up tonight."

Faith's eyes narrowed, suspiciously. "Why? Did you kiss her again? Or thought you did?"

"No," Damon scoffed. "Katherine."

Faith sighed, running a hand through her raven hair. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Mama! I'm hungry!" Dani rushed toward Faith. The siphoner's eyes widened, knowing Damon had heard the toddler through the phone.

"Who's the kid?" Damon questioned.

"I gotta go," Faith stammered. "I'll leave tomorrow in the morning. Bye." She hung up before the vampire could say anything else.

"Sweetie, what did I say about when I'm talking on the phone?" Faith asked.

Dani pouted. "To not yell."

The siphoner smiled and took the toddler's hand. "You want pancakes?"

"Yeah!" She giggled.

Faith walked up to the Historical Society Volunteer Picnic as her eyes darted around to find certain brothers. Her eyes met with an unfamiliar man holding a box coming her way. The man looked at her almost like he recognized her.

"Faith Everly?" He asked.

The siphoner looked at him, suspiciously. "Yes? And you are?"

"Mason Lockwood," he introduced himself with a grin.

"Oh," Faith looked at him in surprise. She didn't expect to meet the werewolf so soon. "Right, you're Tyler's uncle. You look handsome as ever."

"Are you flirting with me, Everly?" Mason teased.

"No," Faith playfully frowned. "That would be inappropriate."

The werewolf chuckled. "See you around, Faith."

"Yeah, you too," Faith faked a smile before walking past the werewolf to the two brothers standing near a car with an open trunk.

"What was that?" Damon questioned the siphoner.

"That was lowering his guard, Damon," Faith remarked. "He already knows about the two of you and he might already know about Elena and Caroline. Might as well have some kind of upper hand even if it means to flirt with him. He ain't that bad looking either. Cocky but handsome."

"She's got a point," Stefan agreed.

Faith acted to find Mason's joke funny as she sipped some lemonade. She continued to flirt with the older man before Damon interrupted them.

"Well, Mason, working hard?" The vampire asked.

Mason glanced at Faith, not knowing that the teen girl already knew about him. "Doing my part."

"I heard you talked to Stefan," Damon smirked, placing an arm over Faith's shoulders.

"Nice guy," Mason said, simply. His eyes were trained on the vampire's arm and Faith.

"Yeah," Damon agreed. "A lot nicer than me."

Faith feigned confusion and upset. "Wait, did Damon do something asshole like to you? I apologize on his behalf. He was like that with me."

"Really?" Mason questioned, completely believing her.

Faith nodded. "Yeah. Do you know how I met him? He was flirting with my nurse while I was at the hospital. Wouldn't leave her alone no matter how much she rejected the guy."

"What can I say?" Damon shrugged. "She was pretty."

"You have a good day, Damon," Mason finished his cup of lemonade before leaving. He smiled at Faith before turning around.

"You got him whipped," Damon picked up a cup of lemonade as his brother walked up to them.

"Please tell me that you were just bonding," Stefan pleaded.

"So what's up this faux drama in your relationship?" His brother changed the subject.

"What are you talking about?" Stefan asked, causing Faith to narrowed her eyes on the vampire.

"Oh come on, Stefan," Damon scoffed, lightly. "You and Elena don't fight, especially not over me."

"Drop it, Damon."

"With pleasure," Damon replied, drinking the lemonade the same time Faith did.

The vampire spit out the drink and started coughing. His reaction caught the siphoner by surprise and cough on her drink as well, and she spits out the drink. Stefan helped his brother sit down on a picnic table as Faith wafted the lemonade. It was laced with vervain. After a while, Damon stopped coughing and gargled some water before spitting it out.

"I'm gonna kill him," Damon growled and he turned around but was stopped by his brother. Stefan struggled to push the vampire on the chair and held him by his shoulders. "I'm not listening anymore to your 'give peace a chance' crap. He's dead!"

"Okay," Stefan reluctantly agreed. He glanced at the siphoner to which she shrugged. "I don't like it, but he's making threats. He could expose us. We need to put him down."

Damon looked surprised but nodded. "Alright, let's do it," he glanced around to see Mason going out to the woods with large trash cans. "Woods. Trash duty. Come on."

"I'll be back up," Faith suggested. "Knowing your luck, something will go wrong."

"Have a little faith, Lil witch," Damon smirked to which the siphoner scowled at the pun.

Next thing Faith knew she was in front of a brick hole with Caroline's hands on her shoulders. Her blue eyes darted around to see Caroline and Elena. "What's going on?"

"My mom," Caroline began. "She's going to kill them."

Elena's eyes widened, "We gotta save them." She began to make her way down the steps but was stopped by Caroline as Faith sighed.

"We can't," Caroline said.

"No, you mean you can't save them," Faith looked at the blonde vampire. "She's scared about her mother finding out about her. Please, Barbie, she was going to find out one way or another."

"Why did you ask me to bring her here?" Caroline asked the brunette, glaring at Faith.

The siphoner smirked. "I'm a witch, Blondie."

Elena got out of the blonde's grip as both Faith and her rushed down the steps into the ruins of the Lockwood property. They walked deeper into the ruins before turning to the left where cells were located along with two deputies and the sheriff. Faith told the brunette to distract them by making a cell door creak. The siphoner grabbed a wooden plank as they waited for a deputy to come. Once he was in the doorway, Faith smacked him across the head, knocking him out as Elena rushed further into the ruins.

"Elena? Faith?" The sheriff looked at them, confused with a gun pointed at them. "What are you doing?"

"We came to crash the party," Faith smirked as she neared behind the brunette, causing the blonde woman to point her gun at her. "Now, sheriff let's not get hasty. You wouldn't want to kill an innocent girl, who's the daughter of the richest businesswoman in Mystic Falls, do you now?"

"You're one of them," the older woman accused.

The siphoner furrowed her eyebrows. "What are you talking about?"

"The lemonade," She began. "You spit it out like Damon did."

"Well, he scared the crap out of me, but I'm not a vampire," Faith explained, her arms crossed over her chest as she leaned against the brick wall.

She was suddenly pushed off the wall toward Elena. They stumbled into the cell and Faith glared at the deputy she had knocked out. "I'm pretty sure I hit you hard enough for you to stay out longer, Hard Head."

The deputy raised his gun threatening at the siphoner's head. Faith's blue eyes shined with amusement. "Do it, I dare you."

A cell door suddenly closed on its own. Liz looked at the two teen girls in front of her. "Who else is with you?"

Caroline used her vamp-speed as she moved around the ruins before grabbing hold of a deputy and biting into his neck. She used the deputy as a human shield when the other deputy fired his gun in her direction. She let the dead deputy fall to the ground before disarming the other one and knocking him out. She breathed heavily, trying to calm herself down before stepping out of the shadows. Her vampire's eyes were showing and blood dripping down her chin. Liz looked at her daughter with a heartbroken expression.

Stefan groaned in pain with Elena next to him as support while Damon fed on a dead deputy. Faith looked at the younger brother in annoyance as he kept groaning in pain.

"Faith, do something," Elena looked at the siphoner.

"I can't," she replied. "The cause of his pain isn't supernatural. Just some wooden bullets and I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to drink human blood either. He just has to bear with it until he gets home."

Damon stood up with a slight struggle, "This is a most unfortunate situation. Two deputies dead." He turned around to look at the sheriff. "And you. What am I going to do with you?"

"Well, we can't kill her," Faith spoke. "People will definitely start asking questions if the sheriff died."

"Nobody is killing anybody," Damon stated before looking at Liz. "You're my friend."

"She's got you deep in the friend zone," Faith told the dark-haired vampire, talking about Elena as she served herself a glass of bourbon. She drank half of it before turning around to look at the vampire. "Talk about sad."

"And that kid?" Damon retorted.

"What kid?" the siphoner feigned confusion.

Damon's eyes narrowed and walked closer to the girl. "The kid that yelled 'Mama' on the phone? And where were you the past three days?"

Faith frowned at the questions. "What are you? My father?"

"You're dodging," the vampire noticed. "Why is that?"

The siphoner rolled her eyes. "The kid was some kid in a park in New Orleans where I was in the past three days."

"Good night," Faith's blue eyes watched as Dani's hazel eyes drooped in sleepiness. She pulled the blanket over her small body simultaneously pulling a doll from her grasp. "Sweet dreams."

"Mama," the toddler mumbled, reaching her small hand out to Faith. "Can you sleep with me?"

Faith smiled and began climbing into the twin size bed. "Okay, but go to sleep."

She kissed the crown of her head as Dani curled up against her body. Faith wrapped an arm over her small body before closing her eyes and her body relaxed.
