"Come on, Damon," Faith whined from the couch in the Salvatore living room. "Tyler has to be in the float about the Willow Creek war, so I don't have an escort. You'll just fill in, please."

"No."

"You get to stand near Elena," the siphoner bargained. "I mean you are in love with her and everything."

The vampire pretended to think. "Still no."

Faith groaned. "Okay, fine. What do you want?"

"Is your mother hurting you?" Damon asked.

Faith narrowed her eyes but sighed. "I thought we already established this." Damon only glared at her. "Okay. Yes, she's the one who's hurting me."

"How long?"

"Since I was six."

"I'll kill her," Damon stood up.

"No!" Faith stopped him and looked up at him. "You'll be dead the minute she sees you. She knows everything. She's on the council, she won't hesitate to expose you to them. My mother is a very powerful witch."

Damon studied her. "Fine. I'll be your escort."

Faith grinned. "See you later! And wear a suit!"

"Wow," Faith's eyes were widened by the resemblance between Elena and Katherine. "You look just like her."

"I know," the brunette mumbled as they continued walking, looking for the Salvatore brothers.

Elena had her hair curled and was wearing a pale green Victorian dress. Faith also curled her hair even though it naturally was, but without the frizziness. She struggled to walk around with her sky blue Victorian dress. She didn't know how girls were able to walk around with such big dresses.

"I hate this," Faith grumbled. Her arms were crossed as Damon stood behind her. "Did girls actually wear these dresses all day?"

"It was harder to take them off," Damon smirked causing Faith's frown to deepen. She looked around until she saw the Gilbert siblings arguing. She couldn't do much about Elena, but she's planning to keep her promise to Vicki. Though she was doing a bad job since Matt got his arm broken, Jeremy was kidnapped, and her mother was still abusing her.

After being on the Founder's court float and night had fallen, Faith had changed into plain dark navy blue denim jeans and only a large sweater. She was walking around the town square when Damon grabbed hold of her and started dragging her toward Elena and Stefan.

"What's going on?" Faith asked after Damon let go of her.

"Saving your life," Damon said. "Fifteen words or less...Tomb vamps are here. Founding families are their target. Get out of here, now!"

"Wait," Stefan called out to his brother who began to leave. "Where are you going?"

"That's more than fifteen words, Stefan," Damon told his brother before leaving.

Both teen girls looked at Stefan. He nodded and began to pull them away from the town square.

"Matt and Jeremy are still here," Faith stopped. "I'll go look for them."

Stefan stopped the siphoner from leaving. "Faith, wait! We have to stay together. We can find them together."

They began walking around before Stefan dropped to the ground, clutching his head as fireworks were lit in the night sky. Elena crouched down on the ground to calm the brown-haired vampire while Faith looked around for anyone who might try to hurt Stefan.

Her blue eyes narrowed on a deputy making their way toward them. She exhaled as she tried to find any magic inside of her to use. Feeling a small amount of power in her stomach, she began chanting. The deputy neared closer and Faith frowned, feeling restrained. Whatever magic she had left was gone. She looked down at her hands in confusion as Alaric ran up to the deputy and made him go away.

There was a light pain like a pinch around her wrists and ankles. It was the metal chains her mother used. They siphoned the magic out of Faith like she did.

Alaric pulled the raven-haired girl with the couple as they pulled the vampire off the ground and down some stairs.

"I don't know what happened, he just dropped," Elena explained.

"Yeah, he's not the only one," Alaric told them. "The cops have gotten everyone who's gone down, injecting them with vervain."

They all looked at Stefan. "They're rounding up the vampires."

Faith bent down after they placed Stefan sitting down. She studied Stefan before placing her hand on each side of the vampire's head. "Stefan, this might hurt."

"What are you going to do?" Elena asked.

"Take away a bit of his pain."

Since the device was magical and the pain the vampire was feeling is supernatural, Faith would be able to siphon the pain out him and use it as magic for herself. Her hands began glowing red as Stefan's breathing began to steady.

"It stopped," the vampire announced and Faith stopped siphoning. "It was like needles were piercing my skull and it just stopped."

"I saw at least five vampires go down," Alaric disclosed, walking down the steps to them. "They're taking them to your family's old building."

"It's the Gilbert device," Stefan spoke. "It has to be."

"But how did they get it to work? Bonnie unspelled it."

"Maybe she didn't," Alaric suggested.

"She did," Elena insisted. "We saw her do it."

"Let me get this straight," Faith stood up. "You asked a Bennet witch to deactivate a device that could protect people from vampires. Bennet witches don't like vampires. They would do anything to kill them, especially after Bonnie's grandmother did a spell that barely did anything to stop them."

The three people in front of her sat in silence as they took in the information.

"Where's Damon?" Stefan asked.

"I don't know," Alaric admitted. "I haven't seen him since this started."

"Let's go."

"Where's Damon?" Elena asked John in front of the Grayson Gilbert Office.

"With the rest of them," John answered, glancing at Faith. He hadn't met the siphoner before until today. "Where he should be. It's over for Damon."

"You're crazy," Elena said.

"Why?" John argued. "Because I'm doing what should have been done a hundred and forty-five years ago? This is the right thing, Elena."

Faith stepped forward and glared at the Gilbert. "If I ever see you again, I don't care if you're Elena's father, I would take that ring of yours and shove so far up your-"

She wasn't able to finish her threat as Stefan pulled her back. The vampire looked at his girlfriend, "You know the building well, is there another way in?"

Elena pointed to the side of the building. "Utility door, there's one around the side."

Stefan rushed forward but both teen girls were stopped by John. Faith ripped her arm away from his grip and wrapped her hand around his neck. She glared at the older man with hatred. "I swear to god, touch me again and see what happens."

John narrowed his eyes on the girl's blue eyes. They looked familiar. His eyes widened in realization. "You're Daniel's kid."

"Don't talk about my dad," Faith threatened and pushed the man away from Elena and her. "Because I won't kill you, John. I will torture you and do something worse than death. I'll turn you into a fucking vampire and make you feed on human blood. That's basically the worst thing that could happen to people like you."

"I see you have your mother's attitude."

Faith growled and her blue eyes darkened. She grabbed onto his hand that had the Gilbert ring and siphoned some of the magic on it. With a wave of her hand, John's neck snapped and he fell onto the concrete.

"Faith!" Elena yelled.

The siphoner rolled her eyes. "Relax. He'll come back in a few hours. Let's go before the deputies realized I killed the bastard."

At the sight of the Bennet witch in front of the open emergency exit, Faith glared and stalked up to her. "Bonnie fucking Bennet if Damon doesn't come out of this alive, you will learn why our families don't get along."

"I'm sorry I lied," Bonnie apologized, glancing between the two teen girls.

Her olive-green eyes looked into Faith's crystal blue ones. The siphoner got the message as she grabbed the witch's hands. Faith's hands glowed red and with one hand she waved her hand toward the doppelgänger, placing a spell on her to not go inside. She grabbed onto Bonnie's hand again before they began chanting.

"Ex spiritum intacullum, in terrum incendium, fes matos salvis adisdum."

Soon after they finished the spell, both vampire brothers walked outside. Secretly, Faith siphoned some of Bonnie's magic before rushing to the Salvatore brothers. Elena was taking care of her boyfriend while Faith walked up to the older brother.

"Hey," he raised his head to look at the siphoner. Faith crouched down to meet him at his level and studied him. "You okay?"

His blue eyes wandered to her forehead. "Your bruise...it's gone."

She furrowed her eyebrows and looked at him, weirdly. "You were almost burnt to death and you're asking about my bruise?"

"I'm-" the dark-haired vampire stood up with a bit of a struggle. "Fine."

"If you say so."

Faith stood in the foyer with her blue eyes following her mother. Circe walked back and forth, grabbing items and placing them into her bag with two suitcases in the foyer next to Faith. The siphoner looked up at her mother once she stood in front of her. Usually, her eyes are trained on the ground but Circe likes it when Faith looked at her once she was leaving.

"I know what you did to John Gilbert," Circe told her daughter. Faith stiffened at the news, fearing her mother was only making her think she was leaving but in reality, she was only getting Faith's hopes up. "Nicely done. The bastard was always ignorant and annoying."

"Thank you, Mother," Faith said.

She didn't smile since Circe didn't like it. But she couldn't help but feel slight happiness at the compliment. Her mother never complimented her. She only dismissed Faith's actions and hard work to be the perfect daughter for the small town. Circe Everly was an abusive sadist mother, probably a sociopath, but she was still Faith's mother and Faith sought her approval.

"For that," her mother pulled out Faith's ruby necklace. "You can have this back."

She placed the necklace into Faith's hand before she left the house with both suitcases as a taxi waited outside. Faith closed the door and looked at the necklace in joy.

The necklace was a present from Faith's father before he died. Though Circe used it against her by placing a spell on it to alert the siphoner to come back to her or the necklace will shock her. But Faith uses the necklace as storage for magic. It wasn't the first time Circe had hurt Faith and drained her of her magic in the basement. Only now did the siphoner realized the metal chains drained her magic.
