《EVERLASTING LOVE ( KLAUS MIKAELSON ) ONE》Memorial

Valerie was at home, enjoying peace whilst she had it, knowing it would be ruined soon. She sat on the sofa whilst she practically waited for drama, she turned the TV on and to her excitement, Sherlock was on. She was in her pj's cuddled up.
She sighed in content, this was the days she missed, lazy days. Being able to not care about anything and just do anything at home.
Her moment of laziness was interupted by the sound of the doorbell going off. Valerie sighed and slowly got up, obviously the person on the other side of the door was impatient as the doorbell was yet again rung.
"Alright, alright!" Valerie huffed and opened the door, to reveal a worn out Klaus. He opened his mouth to speak but Valerie hushed him with her finger. He moved it and began to speak again but Valerie covered his mouth with her hand. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion at what she was doing.
"Whatever you have to say can wait, sherlock is on and it's more important." His eyes widened in shock at her words. His thoughts were two things; what the hell is Sherlock and couldn't she wait?
She slammed the door shut as Klaus rolled his eyes at her. She sat down once again with no intentions to get back up, she was hoping that Klaus would just leave.
Her wishes were crushed as she heard knocking. Klaus had opted for a different way of getting her outside; knocking as loud as he could so that she wouldn't be able to hear her TV anyway.
The door swung open to reveal an annoyed Valerie. "Do you mind?" Klaus smirked "actually I don't, I need to speak to you." Valerie rolled her eyes "and like I said, it can wait."
"Actually it can't so if you wouldn't mind inviting me in?" Valerie scoffed, "I won't invite you in we can talk out here." He sighed in frustration "fine." She walked to stand next to him and shut the door. He furrowed his brows realising something "shouldn't you be at the funeral?"
Her eyes widened "yes" she opened the door and ran upstairs quickly putting on the dress she put out yesterday. Valerie mentally slapped herself, thinking how could she forget.
She ran back downstairs and put her shoes on. Opening the door she remembered that Klaus was still there.
"Don't suppose you wanna do me a favour?" He sighed and rolled his eyes. "I promise to go straight to your house after to have that talk?" She begged. He gave up and nodded. Valerie grinned at not having to walk.

Klaus scooped her into bridal style and flashed them to the church. She dropped her legs and stood up "thank you!"
She ran inside and as the doors shut everyone turned to face her. She smiled awkwardly and mouthed sorry. She looked around the room and spotted Elena.
She walked over to her and people moved so that she could sit down.
Valerie tried to focus on what the person was saying but her mind wondered to Elena. She was really pale and was staring at Valerie's neck.
"Elena?" She nudged her lightly, getting her to focus. "What's wrong with her?" She asked Stefan "She's hungry. She hasn't fed." Valerie's eyes widened "So, get her out of here."
"I can't. There's somebody watching us." Damon was fuming "I'm gonna go rip his head off now." Stefan shook his head "You do that, Damon, and you risk exposing all of us." Damon rolled his eyes "Well, I think the risk will be slightly diminished when I, you know, rip his head off."
"Stefan, I'm losing it." Damon sighed in frustration "you have ten seconds before I go old fashioned on the new guy." Stefan shook his head "Don't do it, Damon. Please."
"Three, two, one. Bye." Damon starts to get up. "Wait, wait, wait, wait. Elena, feed from me." Damon and Tyler look at Valerie. "It's okay, everyone will think you're upset. Just feed from me."
Elena looks up at Stefan to see if he agrees. Stefan looks at Valerie and Elena. He lets Valerie take Elena in his arms. Connor points his gun down at Elena and Valerie. "It's okay. You'll be okay."
Elena moves Valerie's collar and begins to drink from her neck. Connor still has his gun pointed on them, but only sees Elena "crying" on Valerie's shoulder. After a while, Elena stops drinking. Her face goes back to normal.
"Thank you." She pulls away from Valerie and Connor lowers his gun. Elena wipes the blood from her mouth and Valerie hides the wound. On the other side of the room, Tyler moves past Caroline and up the aisle. Caroline watches him, confused.
"The blood. I can still smell it. It's got to be April. We have to help her." Elena tries to leave, but Stefan stops her. "Elena, we can't risk it." Elena stands up again "Then I'm gonna do it!"
Elena continues to try to push past Stefan. Suddenly, Tyler speaks from the podium. They all turn to look at him. "Excuse me. I just wanted to say a few words about Pastor Young." Valerie furrows her eyebrows thinking why Tyler was speaking.

"What do we do?"
Everyone sits back down. Tyler begins to speak. "Back in first grade, I was a brat who couldn't be bothered with team sports. Didn't care much about anything that didn't affect me. But he was the one who made me understand how important it is to be part of a team; a community. Of giving yourself up for the sake of"
Someone shoots at Tyler. Tyler spins and falls to the floor. Everybody starts to scream, they hide into the aisles, and rush out of the church.
Damon makes his way out with the crowd as Caroline makes her way towards Tyler. Carol also rushes towards Tyler's side and Elena and Valerie come up on the stage as well.
"Oh my God."
Caroline gets down next to Tyler and rips the stake out of his chest. Stefan rushes onto the stage and stands next to Elena and Tyler starts coughing.
"I'm gonna kill that bastard." Stefan shook his head "Damon's way ahead of you. Stay here, I have to help him." Stefan starts to leave, but Elena grabs his hand. "What about April?"
Caroline speaks "I got it. Go." Stefan leaves. "I have to call an ambulance." Caroline disagrees with Carol "No, he's fine." Elena walks away. Valerie notices and follows after her.
"The whole town just watched you get shot. I'm calling an ambulance." Carol leaves and Caroline looks up to see Elena and Valerie have gone.
"Elena."
Outside the church, the hunter throws his duffel bags full of weapons in the bed of his pickup truck. He gets in his car and shuts the door.
Suddenly, Damon speeds towards the truck and throws the door off. He grabs him and throws him onto the ground.
Connor still has his pistol with wooden bullets and shoots Damon multiple times. Damon grabs the gun and throws it to the side.
Connor rolls Damon over and is now on top of him. He pulls a stake from his belt and is about to stab Damon in the heart, but Damon uses his strength to fight him from doing so. Nearby, Stefan is outside looking for Damon.
"Damon?" Connor hears Stefan, so he runs to his truck and drives off. Stefan rushes towards Damon who is still lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
"Ow."
Stefan holds his hand out to Damon. Damon takes it. Stefan starts to pull him up, but stops and punches Damon in the face. Damon falls back to the ground. "Uhh, what the hell was that for?" Stefan rolled his eyes "You know what."
Stefan walks away, leaving Damon on the ground. Back inside the church, Elena is up in the balcony. She spots April, gagged up and bleeding. "April!"
Elena rushes over to her, but stops when she sees the blood. She starts to vamp out and rushes towards April to feed off her, but Caroline rushes towards Elena and grabs her, as Valerie stands back not wanting to be eaten.
"She's not dead, but if you feed on her you will kill her!" Elena struggles against her "Let go of me!" Elena tries to fight Caroline off to get to April's blood.
"Look at her! Look at her, Elena! It's April. April Young. She's not a warm body for you to feed on. She's your friend." Elena slowly starts to turn back to normal. Caroline releases her. She looks at Valerie sympathetically.
"She's an orphan. Just like you. She's scared. Just like you were." Caroline bites her wrist and feeds April her blood. April gasps and looks at Caroline. "Please, don't hurt me." She begins to cry "Please."
"No one's gonna hurt you. No one's gonna hurt you." Caroline stands up and looks at Elena. "She needs you. You can make her forget all of this."
April still stunned and confused by the events that has just taken place questioned "Why did he do this?" Elena shook her head "No, I - I can't, Caroline. You have to do it."
Caroline frowned "No. The only way you're going to learn is if you do it yourself." Elena continued "No, I can't." Caroline sighed "Yes, you can. You just need to believe what you're telling her. Okay?"
Elena kneels down in front of April. She gently touches her shoulder. April is still panicking. "April, listen to me." April turns to face her. "Everything's gonna be okay. You're gonna get through this. Just like I got through it." Elena begins to compel April.
"I'm going to help you. I promise." April repeated her "I'm gonna be okay. You're gonna help me."
Elena looks up at Caroline and smiles. Caroline smiles back. "You watched the funeral from up here so that you could grieve alone. It was a beautiful service. People said really nice things." April smiles.
Valerie walks over to April "I'll take you home, come on." Caroline smiles at her and mouths thank you.

(This story is not about an insect that goes on an edgelord, death rampage, so those who came for that, know now what you are reading and stop rating down thx, still, some murder and mayhem is involved) Feel free to critique, I will be checking on reviews and comments every now and then to see what others think of my writing and how I might adjust it in the future. (although I'm also doing this for fun so don't get your knickers in a twist if things don't change to your liking). (Know that even if you comment/review that doesn't mean I will respond or that I will take your advice, after all, I too have my own preferences). A chapter tends to come out every fortnight, however sometimes it may be sooner or later, It depends on how lazy I'm feeling or how busy I am. Ps. A friend of mine drew the cover art, appreciate its homebrew goodness. PPs. serious readers may want to read the author's notes as well. PPPs. If you rate down please say why, I want info, not merely ratings that don't tell me anything, preferably in comments, so I can try to best satisfy my audience, or at the very least understand their reasons.
