Anna P.O.V
I ran, and I ran until my legs felt like they were going to drop off. I now realised that there was no way of me finding my way back to the camp, but I didn't wan't to face anyone. I just wanted to die. Slumping down on the floor, I began to cry. Not the silent-one-tear kind of thing. Full of crying.
"Why? Why was I so fucking stupid!?" I breathed between tears. And just like that sadness turned to anger.
"FUCK YOU PAN!" I screamed, "I HATE YOU, I FUCKING HATE YOU!"
"Anna...?" I heard a soft voice from behind me. It was him. "Are you... crying?" He sounded worried, but I know now that it's just one of his games.
"No" I said, my voice cold as stone and my back turned to him. He suddenly materialized in front of me, and I felt his eyes staring right through me.
"You are..." he said, a concerned tone in his voice. I thought he knew everything about this bloody island, so why doesn't he know that I know? Ugh, it must just be an act...
I suddenly felt his warm hand touch mine, but I jerked it away. I still refused to look at him, because those eyes will make me fall again, I just know it. Those soft, greeny-blue eyes...
"Go away" I barely whispered.
"Anna..."
"I said go away" I repeated, this time my voice more stern.
"Why are you acting like this?" he tried again. Ugh, he was so convincing, but I had to stay strong.
"I'm not an idiot, Pan-"
"Peter" he interrupted, "It's Peter"
"I DON'T CARE!" I yelled at him. Crap, so much for playing it cool. To my surprise he didn't reply, so there was just an eerie silence around us. I looked up to see his face (which was a huge risk, I know). He didn't look angry, he just looked sad. I looked up into his eyes, which seemed to have lost their sparkle. No, I musn't give in... he's just acting...

"Pan... I'm not stupid. I know what you're doing," I said, trying desperately hard to keep my voice steady.
"Really? Because I don't know what you're talking about?"
"Stop it Pan... please..." I said shakily, "You're just acting so you can..."
"So I can what?" he answered way too quickly. I looked up at him again. This really was just a game to him, wasn't it?
"So you can take my heart..." I mumbled. For some reason I regretted saying it, but I don't know why. It's not like I'm going to hurt his feelings. He doesn't have any.
"Anna... who told you that?" He said. So he's not even trying to deny it I guess... wow, he really is a dick.
"Hook-"
"What else did he tell you?!" He said, starting to get angry. I took a deep breath before replying.
"About Wendy... Wendy Darling" I stuttered. Looking up at him I saw his eyes fill with rage, and before I could run he'd grabbed my wrist tightly, and refused to let go when I tried to pull it away. "Get off!"
"What about her?" he said through gritted teeth.
"Th...that-"
"THAT WHAT?" He shouted, which made me flinch.
"THAT YOU PRETENDED TO LOVE HER, THEN YOU KILLED HER, JUST SO YOU COULD LIVE A LITTLE LONGER!" I screamed back at him, tears of rage starting to spill down my cheeks.
"AND YOU BELIEVED HIM?"
"WELL YOU'VE ALL BUT CONFIRMED IT, GETTING ALL ANGRY. YOU THINK YOU'RE SCARING ME, BUT YOU'RE NOT! I GET SHOUTING ALL THE FUCKING TIME"
He grabbed my other wrist and pushed me back against a tree, my head hitting it hard. He then leaned it so I could feel his breath on my ear. "If I was going to kill you, I would've done it by now" he whispered. I was about to reply, but I didn't. The truth was that he actually was scaring me - a lot, and I didn't want him to know that. I had to keep calm. I shut my eyes and took another deep breath. He wasn't going to win this. He brushed his lips away from my ear and down to my neck. Ooh he was clever, but not good enough for me. Or so I thought. He started kissing my neck, which up to this day I hadn't realised was my weakness.

He knew he was getting to me, because he soft kisses quickly became more violent as he pushed me up against the tree even harder, and before I knew it a soft moan escaped my lips. Shit. I felt him pull away and his eyes looked deep into mine. He's eyes are just so beautiful... Shit, no stop. He's going to kill me... but he's just.... so...
And we were kissing. Our lips moved in perfect sync, and butterflies went crazy in my stomach. What am I doing? I opened my eyes, about ready to pull away and run, but I noticed the knife in his pocket... I slowly slipped my hand from his, but continued to kiss him, and slid it into his pocket. Then...
"The knife won't hurt me" he said, pulling away from my lips. Well shit.
"That didn't change anything about us" I snapped quickly.
"Of course," he said smugly.
"I mean it! You may be smart, Pan, but you're not going to outsmart me"
"But I already have" he laughed. What? Suddenly he grabbed my wrist again, and sprinkled pixie dust over my head, then flew me up into the air.
"LET GO!" I screamed, hitting his arm.
"You'll fall," he said smugly, "but if you insist" and I felt my wrist slip from his...

A note from the Author: PLEASE leave a review and alert me of any plot holes, weak portions, and anything else. I am in desperate need of beta readers and feedback. I wrote this around the new year, 2020. It's about 40k words and the first in a planned series that follows Gar "Alany" Darron and his agency of detectives as they track missing persons in the city of Throne. I have the sequel planned but not written. Once this one is completely uploaded, I'll be uploading another, unrelated series that as of right now is roughly 160k words long, and somewhere in there, I'll write the sequel to Frame of Mind. I plan to go back and forth between the two series for the foreseeable future. Thanks for reading.
