《Once Bitten, Twice Shy》-Chapter Five-

I move through my room quickly, finishing getting ready for me and Tyron's date, at some point last night we had decided to meet for breakfast instead of lunch...and I happily agreed, seeing him sooner is even better in my opinion...
Goddess...one date in and I'm already falling for him...I never expected it to be this easy to move on...to open up again...maybe this means that this time is different...
Returning to getting dressed, I pull on my fitted black leather pants and then my black halter top, the fabric shimmering in the sunlight coming in from my bedroom window. After slipping on a pair of black wedge heels, I put in my elegant spiral earrings...and the necklace Ty bought for me last night, the stainless steel cool to my skin.
Smiling as I look at it in the mirror, I brush my hair up into a high ponytail and keep my make up light with dark red lipstick. Grabbing my bag, I head to my bedroom door...only to stop before I get there.
Tyron's jacket rests on the back of my chair, and I grab it...holding it up to deeply inhale his sweet scent before I put it on, pushing the sleeves up to my elbows. It fits well with my outfit, as well as the added bonus of getting to see Ty's reaction when he sees I'm wearing it.
Smiling, I leave my room and start to walk towards Phoenix's to tell her I'm leaving soon, but before I can knock on her bedroom door I hear the bathroom door open.
"Hey Phoe, I'm leaving in a-" I start, but the second I turn around I find that it's not Phoenix...it's Theo...in nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Miss Viola..." He greets, a bit sheepish as he averts his eyes...and when he turns his head I can see the vampire equivalent of hickies on his neck...and I already know exactly what's going on.
"Theo." I reply, a knowing smile on my face. But before he can say a word Phoe's bedroom door opens, my cousin only wearing one of her mates large shirts.
"I'll join you in a sec-" Her words falter as she catches sight of me, a small blush dusting her cheeks.
"Well, I see you two had fun last night." I tease, making the poor boy nervous.
"If you'll excuse me miss." He murmurs as he darts back into the bathroom, and the second the door closes me and Phoe burst into giggles.
"As it turns out Vi, you were right, with that little red dress Theo couldn't keep his paws off of me..." She grins, pulling her shirt collar to the side to show off the new mark on her shoulder...
"I'm happy for you Phoe, I'm just surprised...and glad, that I didn't hear it last night." I answer as I shake my head, and she chuckles.
"We came in after you were already asleep...and my room has sound proofing." She explains, "and considering that's Tyron's jacket, I guess it's safe to say you guys had fun last night too." She smiles, making me blush a little...and when I hear the knock at the door I remember what I was going to tell her before this occurred.

"I'm actually leaving now, me and Tyron are going out for breakfast before going to whatever he has planned." I explain.
"That sounds like fun, go have a great time! Just text me before you come home, so we're prepared.." She implies, and I roll my eyes.
"You two are like teenagers..." I murmur as I walk towards the front door, another knock sounding.
"You'll understand soon enough Vi..." She replies, raising her eyebrows suggestively, leaving my face flushed red as I open the door to see Tyron standing there dressed in a gray long sleeve shirt with his sleeves pushed up to his elbows and black jeans, what appears to be his Beta pendant around his neck for me to see.
"Good morning Darlin'." He says with a happy smile on his face, holding up another beautiful flower arrangement, this one already in a vase.
I take it happily, loving the beautiful stargazer lillies and sprigs of eucalyptus. Another favorite of mine...
"It's beautiful Tyron, thank you...though are you planning to bring me flowers for every date?" I question.
"I'm glad you do, I have to admit I had a little birdie help me this time. And as long as they give you that beautiful smile, I'll never stop bringing you flowers..."
I try to hide my blush as I go to set them down next to the ones he brought me last night, and I see Phoenix wink at me before she darts into the bathroom to join her mate...which means it's probably best that we leave right now.
"Well...let's go shall we? Where exactly are we going today?" I ask as we leave, and he gives me that knowing smirk.
"You'll have to wait and see, but I have a feeling you're going to love it."
She's absolutely stunning...and so much fun.
After we had breakfast at a little café across the street, I surprised her by taking her somewhere I typically have a lot of fun doing at home- indoor laser tag, at a place called Laser Quest.
She had never done it before, so after I explained how the game worked, we both joined separate teams and joined in the fun...neither of us really noticing that most of the players were teenagers since we were having so much fun.
Though I have to admit that I loved the way that particular part of the date ended. With us being the last two people, she had tracked me down first...but before I could tag her out, she surprised me by pressing a soft kiss to my lips...before promptly shooting me in the vest and winning the game...her cute little victory dance amusing to watch.
I was too damn happy to care that I lost, she kissed me...I smiled like fool for the rest of our date, which consisted of going a place called the Candy Bar to pick out some sweet treats, simultaneously teaching me her favorite candies, then a trip to a burger joint called Repeal Bourbon & Burgers that had great reviews...then we finished our evening by spending it at an art supplies store, where I let her pick out whatever she liked, before going to the sushi restaurant she brought up last night.

I had worried that the date was a little...I don't know, immature for her taste...and when I had admitted that to her, she quickly alleviated my fears. She admitted that as much as she liked the fancy wine and dine dates, she also loved ones like we had today...fun, relaxed adventures. That on these kind of dates it was less about trying to impress the other, and more about trying and learning new things, enjoying each other's company, and having fun together...
Which has lead me to making more of our dates like that...
For the past week we've done things like salsa dancing lessons at a dance studio, bowling alleys, arcades, aquariums, the beach, movies, even pottery making...which turned out to be a lot of messy fun for both of us.
But by far, our favorite date so far has been the trip to the Chincoteague Island's...where we took a boat ride to see the beautiful island and it's wild ponies. She took so many pictures, and I had so much fun watching her enjoy herself and get swept away.
We've talked quite a lot too, about her love of teaching art, her childhood home in Paris, her parents, her love of music, dancing...and singing...goddess, her singing is so beautiful...
I've fallen harder for her with every date, each one making it harder for me to spend the rest of my night without her curled up in my arms....and if I'm not mistaken, she's feeling somewhat the same...reluctant to part ways, and impatient to see me again...
Which is why on tonight's date at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse...I plan on asking her to return home with me to Red Fang. I want to show her my home, my pack...introduce her to my family....I want her to be part of my world...
But I'm honestly a little nervous...what if it's too soon? I don't want her to feel rushed...like she has to come with me, I want her to come with me because she wants to...because she wants to be part of my world.
~Will you relax kid? Of course she will say yes, she's our mate.~ Victor interrupts my internal argument, and I roll my eyes in response.
~It's not a guarantee...she's been hurt before, she may not trust us enough yet.~ I reply, and he grunts.
~I know...that asshole must have been really stupid to throw her away.~ He rumbles, and I have to agree. ~But, you've seen how she acts around us, we won't know if she's ready to come with us or not until we asked...so don't chicken out now kid.~
"You alright over there Beloved?" She calls to me from across the table, drawing my attention to her gorgeous blue green eyes...which are even more drawn out by the dress she's wearing. Goddess I could get lost in those sea colored depths....
"Just a little distracted by you...as I usually am, your beauty has the incredible ability to make me forget where I am..." I reply, and her light blush and radiant smile encourage me to ask her the question.
"You are quite the charmer Beta Tyron...but as flattered as I am, I sense that isn't the only thing that's distracting you tonight." She murmurs, and I sigh. She's very observant, something else I've noticed on our dates, she never misses a thing...and she always knows when I'm up to something.
"Well...there is something I've been debating over asking you all night, and I think it's about time I ask it." I reply, and she tilts her head with obvious curiosity.
"And what would that be Beloved?"
I pull a small cloth bag from the pocket of my jacket, the red fabric soft to my fingers. I had picked this out specifically for this question, hoping it would help her say yes...
"We've been having a wonderful time spending all of this time together...at least, I know I have. So I wanted to ask you...if you would come back home with me to Georgia?" I ask, handing her the bag...and her surprised face keeps me talking.
"I promised you that I'd court you as long you wanted, and I intend on keeping that promise. But I want very much for you to see my home, my pack...and meet my family. I want to show you my world Viola, and share it with you....you've already become an important part of my life, I hope that I'll be an important part of yours..." I trail off, nervous about her reaction. I wait anxiously as she opens the bag carefully, sliding the item inside out onto her palm...and her eyes widen in surprise.
"Ty...it's beautiful..." She murmurs.
I had remembered on our first date, along with how her dress was my favorite color, that her charm bracelet contained charms that signified important parts of her life...
"I got that for you, in the hopes that I'll be an important part of your life too." I explain and she smiles softly.
"You already are an important part of my life Tyron..." She replies, and my eyes widen as my heart races.
"Viola...do you mean...?" I trail off, and she clips the charm to her bracelet.
"I'll go with you Tyron...I would love to see your world." She answers, and my wolf howls with joy.
After years of waiting, and months of searching, I finally found my mate...and she wants to be with me...
