《Field Trip || DNF》Chapter 4

"Stop! Stop it!" Dream wheezed, clicking noises filling his room. He had become a Youtuber and Twitch streamer, giving up his teacher job in general.
Eret had kept quiet about why one of his star teachers were fired, so Dream had gotten more job offerings then he thought was possible from other schools. He did try again, but then gave up completely.
"And your homework is questions 12-15," Dream looked around at his students he'd been teaching for three months, "don't forget it!"
It didn't feel the same though. He missed his old students. He also missed his old staff, the staff at Beverly High were not friendly at all, and were hesitant to teach their students in any other way than 'by the book.'
So when he quickly became the students favourite teacher... the staff was not happy.
When the last bell of the day rang, he headed up to the principal's office.
"Uh... knock knock?" Dream poked his head in the room.
"Ah, Dream! Nice to see you young man," Ms. Finley, the principal, smiled.
"I need to talk to you." Dream said, hesitating.
"Can it wait? I have several meetings with staff members, and they cannot wait so-"
"I'm quitting."
"I'm sorry, what?" Finley's head whipped around to face Dream, "did you get a better job offering? I can raise your paycheque!"
"No Ma'am, I just... don't feel welcome here." Dream shifted on his feet.
Finley sighed, "I understand... but... the seniors you teacher are graduating in a month, can't you at least see them off? They love you."
Dream flinched, but then crossed his arms, "I guess."
"Thank you, now, I must be on my way." Finley pushed past Dream, leaving him to drown in his own thoughts.

That was months ago now. He hadn't felt like teaching was his passion in the first place to be quite honest, but entertaining people? It was great!
He loved it so much, and he was growing rapidly on both Youtube and Twitch.
However with fame, does come with hate, but he never let it get to him.
"Oh my God, Bad stop it!" He hit his friend with his sword in the game he was playing. He had taken a liking to a game called Minecraft, and it was a big part of his(and a lot of people's) childhood, so it was a obvious thing to make content out of.
BadBoyHalo, or Bad, was one of other best friends. He had known Bad for some time, but he lost contact with him a few years ago after he started his job at Wilson High.
"Ah! Sorry Dream, I got to go, Rat needs to go for a walk!" Bad apologized, and then hung up.
"Alright guys, I'm gonna end the stream now, until next time!" Dream made sure everything was off, and then flopped walked into the hallway down to his kitchen.
"Hi Patches," he picked up his cat, who purred in delight.
His phone, which was in his hoodie pocket, started buzzing like crazy and he picked it up.
"Hello, is this Mr. WasTaken?" Dream was taken-a-back, he hadn't heard anyone call him that in a while. He assumed it was another job offering, and sighed, "yes, this is him, what can I do for you?"
"Hi, yes, uh, it's Eret," Dream suddenly realized the familiarity of the voice speaking to him, "oh, um..."
"So we recently had to cut a lot of teachers off, and... I wanted to see if you wanted your job back." Eret sounded nervous.

"Eret... I left for a reason," Dream tried to sound disapproving, but he was kind of excited.
"Actually, I fired you for a reason, but that reason... uh... left." Eret cleared his throat, "so we need you back."
"George left?" Dream exclaimed.
"He wasn't the same after I fired you, he was so... tense and strict. Students hated him before he left." Dream could hear Eret tapping his fingers.
"Okay fine... I'll be back on Monday then?" Dream asked.
"Mhm," Eret confirmed, "see you then," and then hung up.
"Well Patches! It seems as if I'm going to have my hands full." He looked at the small cat who meowed cheerfully at him.
He smiled petting the cat again.

Oh this is most definitely one of the worst mistakes I've ever made, Dream mentally face palmed.
He was standing in front of George's apartment door. He was hesitant to knock though, and would jump if he heard a noise, he kept thinking it was George coming out of his apartment.
"Dream...?" A familiar voice that sounded confused came from behind him, where the stairs were.
He turned, and his eyes rested upon Sapnap. He had keys in one hand, and a brown bag in the other.
"Uh, hey!" Dream greeted his friend. Sapnap dropped the things on the floor and hugged the taller man.
"Dude I missed you so much," Sapnap pulled away.
"I missed you too, I'm sorry for not calling much." Dream wasn't really sorry, he had needed the time to himself.
Sapnap grabbed the things he dropped, "it's fine, uh, what are you doing here?"
"I wanted..." Dream's voice faltered and he cleared his throat, "I wanted to see George. To see how he was doing. I heard he quit."
"Yeah... he did, he won't come out of his apartment so I bring him food," Sapnap raised the brown bag, "but he barely eats."
Dream stared at the bag, and then held his hand out, "give me it, I'll get him to eat."
Sapnap reluctantly gave him the bag, and then walked over to the apartment door labelled 404.
He unlocked the door, peeking in.
"George?" He called softly. George audibly grunted, and Sapnap motioned for Dream to follow him in.
"I brought you food," Sapnap walked over to the couch George was sitting on, and rested his hands on the back of it.
"I'm not hungry," George rolled his eyes, but his shaking hands and rumbling stomach said otherwise.
"The hell you're not," Dream responded. George whipped around and stared at the blonde man.
"Sapnap... What the hell is he doing here?"
