Adrien's POV

Once we arrived at the inn it was late at night and we ate dinner in the bus. I was so exhausted that once I arrived at my room I collapsed on my bed.

"ADRIEN! CAMEMBERT NOW!"

I opened my eyes immediately.

"PLAGG!" I glared at the kwami. Can't I have peace for once? I sighed and went to my bag to get a wheel of camembert. Once I gave him his cheese I went to bed.

I was woken up by a soft patter coming from the window. Drops if water were streaming down the window. Rain. It was raining.

I looked at the time and it was 7:00 in the morning. I dressed up and went to the dining room.

Surprisigly no one was there yet. Except for Marinette, her grandparents, and LING?!

"Good morning Adrien," I looked at the owner of the sweet voice and looked at her.

"Good morning Marinette, Mr. and Mrs. Cheng." And I flashed her my sweetest smile.

"Good morning child, sit!" I sat down in the left side of the table near mrs. Cheng since Ling was sitting next to Marinette at the right side.

"Why up so early child?" Mrs. Cheng asked.

"It's a habit I guess," Mr. and Mrs. Cheng nodded in understanding.

"We heard from Mari that you work as a model," Mr. Cheng asked, and I nodded my head.

"I do, but sometimes it's such a bore especially with my father forcing me into it," I don't even know why I was so open to them. I've never told this to anyone. But then again, it might be the the homy aura that appears to be surrounding them.

It also appears whenever I enter Marinette's family bakery. Amazing right?

"You poor thing. But atleast you've got people who care about you," Mrs. Cheng smiled at me and I smiled.

"If you don't mind me asking, but why didn't Marinette wake us up like yesterday?"

"Don't you see the rain outside? There's a storm coming and it's not safe," Ling told me with a hint of annoyance.

"Sorry I was just asking," we did our little small talk and ate breakfast. Little by little our classmates came down to join us. By 9 o'clock we were done with breakfast. It was still raining hard and the sun wasn't shining. It was pure gray.

"UGH! Pathetic rain! It ruins hair y'know!" I sighed nothing is ever gonna change Chloe.

"And what are we even gonna do here?! Ugh!"

"Well since you metioned that why not help Marinette make some fortune cookies. Maybe there you'll learn some respect," Mrs. Cheng said sternly.

"Ugh, as if I'm going to have my hands dirty, and why would I need to know respect? Everyone practically adores me." I shook my head, Chloe is never gonna help, but then an idea struck me like lightning.

"I can go help Marinette Mrs. Cheng," I offered. Marinette's eyes lit up for a moment.

"I'll help her too Mrs. Cheng. She might need an extra hand." I looked at Ling who offered to help her aswell. Why was he even here shouldn't he be at home?

Anyway, I was stuck with Ling, in a kitchen. With Marinette.

"I'll help too. I need sometime with my bestie." Great. Now Alya's coming too. I sighed. Can't I have Marinette alone for once?

Mrs. Cheng chuckled at Alya.

"Alright, but the rest of you, could you all kindly help me clean up the attic un the upper floor?"

Okays and sures were heard.

After the little talk we headed for the kitchen.

"Okay so I need your help in making the cookies. I already prepared the ingredients, so this should be easy." Marinette told us expertly.

Marinette assigned me and Ling into making the dough while she and Alya make the fortune and put it into the cookie which was in the other far side of the kitchen.

"Guys we're gonna print out the fortunes so see ya later," Alta said as she and Marinette went out of the kitchen.

Once they were gone Ling slammed the dough hard on the counter. Making me and everything else on the table jump.

"Listen punk," punk? Was he talking to me? "You stay away from Marinette." He poked his finger on my my chest while glaring at me (of course).

I raised an eyebrow," Why should I? It's not like she's yours," he glared harder and gritted his teeth.

"She will be if you stop distracting her!" I was surprised.

"You can't tell me what to do. Marinette knows who she'll be with when the time comes, and I'm sure it won't be you," I glared back and gave him a devilish smirk.

"You should watch your back Agreste. You don't know what I've got planned for you."

"I don't give up that easily, especially when it comes to someone I love."

We glared so hard at each other that I actually thought there was static between us.

Marinette came in to see our progress,"Hey guys! What's going on?" We stopped our glare fest and for some reason Ling placed his arm around my shoulder, and faked a smile.

"Oh nothing Mari! I was just getting to know dufu- I mean Adrien here. And now were best buds." Oh now I see where this is going. I also faked a smile.

"Yeah Marinette heheheh Ling here was just telling," I placed my hand on his back and slapped it hard that he actually leaned forward, "-me about him hahahaha."

"We're actually bes buds now." He also slapped my back hard which made me make a choking sound.

"Well that's good to know." Marinette smiled and took the doughs. Once we were done we decided to go up to the attic to help Mrs. Cheng and the others.

When we arrived everybody was huddled near Mrs. Cheng.

"And this is her walking with her tiny feet" awwwwws could be heard. Yes, even the boys awwwwed because of something Mrs. Cheng showed.

"Hey guys what's up?" I asked.

"We were just looking through all these stuff here, and we saw Marinette's old pictures!" Rose practically squealed and abruptly shoved an old picture unto my face.

What I saw was the most adorable thing ever. Marinette in her baby days! She was so cute and chubby! Her cheeks were rosy and she was only wearing a diaper with a pacifier in her mouth. My heart melted. Awwwww.

"NANA! Why are you showing them these?!" Mrs. Cheng just chuckled as she placed the pictures back into a box.

"Okay enough of that kiddies. Thank you for helping me clean now we play in the rain."

We all looked at her with confused faces.

"What? Don't tell me you haven't played in the rain before."

"Not really Mrs. Cheng. We don't really do that in rainy Paris." Juleka said.

"Well Marinette could show you, she used to do it all the time it rained. Speaking of Marinette where is she?"

A squeal could be heard from outside. There was Marinette. Twirling and spining in the rain.

"Well, looks like she already went in." Almost immediately everybody went downstairs to join Marinette. I went down a bit more slowly. Once I arrived at the inn's entrance Marinette immediately saw me.

"C'mon Adrien!" She pulled me towards the rain. Drops of water came pouring down on my face.

Damn. This felt good. My hair and clothes were already saoking wet, and I've never felt so free.

I grinned so wide that Marinette started laughing and I joined her. She was so beautiful. Even with the wet clothes. I was holding her hands and pulled her closer. She was probably surprised with the action.

"A-adrien, what are you doing?"

I said nothing, but instead I leaned in closer to her. I started to close my eyes and she did too, but Nino had to ruin the moment.

"Way to go dude and dudette!"

Everybody looked at him.

"NINO!"

"What?"

Marinette looked at me,"I-I should probably g-go i-inside."

She pulled away and ran inside.

That night in my room I was pondering on the almost kiss of me and Marinette. Maybe I did it too quickly. I should probably take it slow next time. I slowly drifted to sleep, but not before I gave Plagg his camembert. I closed my eyes thinking of the color blue. Finally making it my favorite color, and with that I was taken into a deep slumber.
