my seven year old daughter asked me the other day what her father was like. i told her that he was young, handsome, big blue eyes, dirty blonde hair, but he dyed it dark brown. he had a perfectly shaped nose with cute, small lips, along with a slim, attractive body. then she asked me what happened to him and why he wasn't with us, i told her that he fell asleep before she was born and he didn't wake up. then she told me,"he died, didn't he, mom." i started to tear up as a nodded and grabbed her shoulder and said to her,"though he didn't know you, Delilah Rain Phoenix, he named you, your unique and beautiful name. he made it up and i went through with it because i love him and i will forever love him even though i haven't seen him in a long time. he loved you and your brother very much and he dideverything for you both. he kept you both healthy and that's why i still wear our engagement ring and he is still wearing his."
