two days passed and nothing changed. everything was the same. finchel was still dead and snake had turned into just another face in the crowd. donny was talking on and off with sammy fullet but it was nothing serious. it's like the world had completely turned against donny, river, and sean. no one spoke to them, the teachers never called on them in class. it's like they had become invisible after finchel chance's death, which was almost a week ago.

people in the hallways talked about the first basketball game of the season. donny, sean, and river decided to go to maybe get people to like them again.

the rest of the day was slow and it was difficult for river to pay attention. instead of working, he stared out the window and looked at the light blue sky with the occasional cloud that would roll by. the trees swayed slightly and it made river calm and relaxed in a way. the day ended and river returned home to his four siblings and mother. but river could feel bad vibes from every single family member. "what's wrong with you guys?" river's mother replied,"I know its been a bad week for you and I'd hate to make it any worse than it already is, but your dad collapsed in a bar early this morning." river's eyes widened in disbelief,"is he okay?" his mother answered,"riv, he's dead." river's heart started to race and he left his house. he didn't know where he was going but he would figure it out sooner or later.

river drove as he hyperventilated and cried as he thought, why is this week so terrible? river thought loosing a friend was tough but loosing your father was probably more than ten times worse.
