《The Fallen Council》When The Darkness Falls

Grian Xelqua Charles was standing in front of his Hermitcraft base. He had just defeated another Nether demon's soul.
Tears were rolling down on his face. A message he has just gotten has almost broken his world. Mumbo had almost gotten killed by a Nether demon's soul...
Luckily Iskall had been there and saved him, but they both were now badly injured... If Iskall hadn't gotten there in time... Mumbo would be gone... Forever...
Grian fell on his knees sobbing furiously. It was his fault! He was the one who had killed Oneus and made Zanax do this! It was his fault Mumbo had almost died permanently!
He heard another NeDem soul behind him. He didn't care about it anymore. He had almost caused his best friend's death! It wouldn't be that bad to die, wouldn't it..?
The NeDem soul was getting closer and closer. Grian was prepared to die now. He wanted to let go of everything..
All it would take was one hit..
One hit and he would be free..
One hit and he would die...
But then...
He heard another sound..
The NeDem soul's scream and a slash from a sword.
Grian turned around with teary eyes and straight away he was slapped on the face with a metallic-hand. He let out a surprised scream and turned to look up.
There was standing a really mad orange haired female Watcher.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" She screamed angrily. "YOU WERE GOING TO DIE! WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?!" The female raged.
"I-I'm sorry.." Grian sobbed.
The female sighed and her anger turned into sadness and pity. She crouched down next to him and wrapped her arms around him.
"It's alright ̇/ᒷꖎ, everything's going to be alright," She whispered into his shoulder.
Grian couldn't hold back anymore. He was now crying to the female's shoulder. He felt so bad.

"I-I don't want to d-die..." He sobbed.
"You're not going to die. Everything is going to be alright," The female spoke out quietly. "We're all here for you," She whispered.
"B-but H-hermitcraft..." Grian cried out.
"Shh, shh, we'll help," She hushed.
"M-Mumbo... And I-Iskall..." Grian whimpered.
"⍑ᔑ||ꖎ╎ᒷ is helping them, they're going to be alright," The female hummed. "You trust her, don't you?" She continued.
"Y-yeah, I-I trust her," Grian sobbed.
"Everything's going to be alright, you know that," She said smiling.
"B-but what if.. What if not..?" Grian asked sobbing.
"I promise that everything's going to be alright!" She spoke out with seriousness in her voice. "You trust me, don't you?" She asked.
"I trust you," Grian nodded.
The female smiled and looked into his eyes through her mask.
"Let's go take care of the NeDem souls," She spoke out quietly.
"Y-yeah..!" Grian tried to smile.
They both stood up and started heading towards the shopping district.
The female felt bad for lying to her brother.. But she couldn't stand seeing him cry.. She had to lie about everything going to be alright, she actually had no idea if everything was going to be alright ever again..

Nowhere Stars
For as long as anyone can remember, humans have been preyed upon by Harbingers, living nightmares which devour dreams and passions and souls, and defended by Keepers. These children alone hold the gift of magic, the wild and wondrous ability to impose emotions over reality and empower their frail bodies with the splendor of their souls. Under their protection, humanity was able to survive and thrive. While modern Keepers have come to enjoy a social position somewhere between celebrities and religious idols, very few accept the mantle simply to be a hero. The Messengers of the Goddess Claiasya, spirits charged with awakening the magic in suitable souls, promise that Keepers who consume and purify enough Harbingers will obtain the power to change themselves or the world in nearly any way they wish. It’s for this purpose that Liadain Shiel, a young girl born terminally ill, throws herself into life as a Keeper when her opportunity comes, hoping against hope to rewrite her fate and save her life while she still can. But magic wants its wielders to grow and change, not simply continue living, and the secrets swimming beneath the sea and behind the sky have lives and designs of their own. Nowhere Stars is an ongoing fantasy-horror web novel about traumacore magical girls, nightmares clothed in ribbons and lace, alienation from reality, and broken children twisting the world into whatever shape they must to make their dreams come true. This is a mirror of Nowhere Stars' home site, located here. Updates will be posted at the same time, currently once a week on Wednesdays. Support Nowhere Stars on Top Web Fiction here!

I Have Even Read the Rulebook!
As all stories begin, Prof died. Yes, truck-kun had something to do with that, but also a bird, a cat and some rebar. When he was presented with with the opportunity in the Afterlife Administration Bureau to be transmigrated into a game-like fantasy world, he did something, no one ever did: he read the Rulebook. Follow Prof on his road to be rich without working, touring a whole new world without a care and witness his realisation, that despite having read the Rulebook the folks living with the System for untold millennia know more about the rules. Important notes: 1, I'm not a native speaker, so be prepared for occassional typos, iffy grammar and maybe awkward sentences. The spell check was running, when I wrote the chapters, but it works in strange ways... If you point out mistakes, I will try to correct them 2, Scheduling will be two chapters a week, posted Saturdays before noon (CET). Depending on how much new chapters I can write consistently there will be probably more but as long as I have leftover chapters, the two per week will be posted no matter what. Chapters will be around 1500-2500 words as MS Word counts it. 3, I did not and will not post this novel on another site, if you find it somewhere else, please inform me 4, The Main Character's progression is slow, there will be no Levels, Skills, Abilities, Feats, Perks and Cheat Powers raining down on him 5, I've put Comedy as a genre because of my writing style not because the novel is a comedy per se. On the other hand, Traumatising Content is there because there is a lot of speciesism - those Elves are not nice people. 6, I put a lot of pop-cultural references into the chapters, try to find them! Enjoy!
